The Captain's Cottage is in a very unique location for Belmar. In the past few years, the Belmar Marina area has gained popularity as park spaces, waterfront walkways, fishing piers, and new bars and restaurants have opened up along the Shark River. 9th Ave Pier and Marina Grille have been a big hit, where you can enjoy a waterfront meal and drink while watching the beautiful sunset. Fishing charter boats, mini golf, parasailing, kayak/stand-up paddleboard rentals are also available in this area. The home is still close to Main Street and roughly one mile to the ocean. As an alternative to the ocean, there is also a free beach along Shark River directly across the street from the home. It is also a short Uber, bike, or train ride to Asbury Park. Parking: Two cars can fit in the space assigned, and additional parking is available for no cost at the adjacent side streets (K or L Street). The Belmar Train Station and Belmar Main Street is a short walk. It is one mile from the ocean and there is also a free public beach right across the street along the Shark River. A very short Uber, bike, or train ride to Asbury Park. Please be mindful of the shared driveway entrance and parking assignments.
