Directions to enter was confusing. Never did find a key pad. Difficultgetting into complex. We never did get a correct code to lock the property.Screen door fell off on arrival. Never fixed. No air ventilation in all rooms. Suggestion to leave doors open. Beach area always cold.Condo street level. 4 barking dogs all 4 days. No help from host in dealing with this. States the beach people just have dogs. Hard to sleep.No shoes requested, Feet and socks black.Laundry room w/o supplies.No exit recommendations.Again could not lock property properly.Very frustrated with stay!!

Lovely condo in a great location

My family had a wonderful time staying in Port Hueneme. The condo is close to the beach and only a 20 minute drive to Channel Islands National Park ferry. The one hiccup was trying to get into the complex on our first night since the directions listed were incorrect (wrong street names and we were unable to get through gates on our own). We ended up following someone else through the gates and then used the key and gate clicker to open them during the rest of our stay. When I reached out about the WiFi network being unavailable, communication with the host was very fast. Overall, a great experience!

We had a wonderful stay in Port Hueneme! The beach was beautiful and just a short walk away, complete with a scenic pier. The home was roomy, comfortable, and incredibly quiet—perfect for relaxing. Being in a gated community made it feel very safe and pleasant. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful coastal getaway!

Pool not avaliable

Fob for club house and key to exit gate missing from the unit. No solution for the missing key items for stay. Pool out of commission for a year. Nothing stated. Misrepresented amenities. No key for gate defeated the purpose of "10 steps to the beach" cleanliness: hair on bed and on floor, floor was dirty.

Enjoyable stay!

We were quite comfortable and really enjoyed the use of the kitchen. We had a little trouble navigating the TV but watched what we could find. The condo has a lot of light, more than those who live outside a city were used to. We were unable to arrive as planned and checked in the next day, however our host extended our check out time which gave us a chance to explore our surroundings. The host was wonderfully helpful and made our stay enjoyable.

Gorgeous Seaside Condo

We had a miscommunication that was totally NOT the host’s fault but rather an emergency trip to the hospital that left me incommunicado! He was so kind about tho and even let us stay an extra few hours!! Amazing!!! Who does that!!?? The place is spotless, beautifully decorated and perfect for a family get together. Indeed, while we old people scurried back to our abode nearby, apparently there was an intense game of cards being heatedly pored over thru the night, lol (my kids are into those odd games like Among Us!) Port Hueneme is seemingly a secluded area but lots of options nearby for getting what you are craving nearby. And lots of wonderful beach nearby to waddle into! PS nothing wrong with the internet! It works well and was fine!

Disconnected Beach Stay

Our family stayed at this VRBO for a weekend...please read below for details: PROS: Beautiful, remodeled and updated condo steps from the beach. Everything at property was clean and organized. CONS: The entire time during our stay there was NO WIFI. We contacted host within an hour of arrival to explain the 3 tv's had no service, we could not connect to internet or wifi on phones. Host was responsive but overall dismissive explaining how "area struggles with wifi near the Naval base", told us to go to clubhouse to access wifi and in the end did NOT resolve any issues on his property. Residents around us mentioned they all had wifi with no issues and we have also stayed in these same condos with good wifi. Overall, if you are not needing to connect to WIFI, this location near the beach will be perfect for you!

Great location across the street from town beach. A little chilly for summer visit to CA. Temps were in the low 60 with stiff wind . Last day it turned sunny and warm.

Booked the property. Got a confirmation. Then told by owner I cannot stay. Spent 4 hrs trying to get refund. Beware book at your own risk.

Thanksgiving weekend with our sailor...

The property was exactly as described. Very clean and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. We didn't spend a lot of time on site; however, when we did, we enjoyed the small patio, nice dinner table, short walk to the beach, and comfortable living space. We also took advantage of the washer and dryer (which our sailor appreciated). We felt very safe within the gated community and when we went on a few short walks within the community, were greeted with polite and friendly faces.
