Great Location, Difficult Property Manager

The villa was perfect for our stay -- walking distance to golf, beach, tennis, and other amenities. And it had plenty of space, although was slightly worn down. Our biggest complaint was the property management company that handled the rental. They did not respond to any messages sent through Vrbo and also attempted to charge us a (completely absurd) $75 fee to push twin beds together to form a swing king. The posting advertised the flexibility of the twin/king sleeping arrangement and did not disclose the fee, yet we had to go through hoops to get them to waive the fee--which was ridiculous to attempt to charge in the first place.

Nice Villa. Very Quiet Resort

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Villa was very nice. The two twin rooms were small and sharing a bathroom with that many people was problematic - so the layout wasn't great upstairs. Bathroom fan doesn't work, and no hair dryers or kettle on the property. Property management company did not respond to repeated requests to fix this.Palmetto Dunes is extremely quiet. Everything shuts down by 9pm. The property is VERY dark at night, I'm told that is due to the turtles, but because of that it is dangerous for women vacationing on their own. We did not feel safe walking the property at night. During the day it was great.We went for Tennis. This is no longer a tennis resort. It is a pickelball resort. 100 pickelballers showed up for the 2 times per day round robins. 12 tennis players show up each day for the 1 tennis round robin. That should give you a sense.Overall, the villa was lovely (except for the bathroom situation), the beach was lovely, the tennis and pickelball facilities were very good. Not likely to return as we really want a well lit tennis resort.

3 Fazio Villas Family Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This particular villa had plenty of space for everyone and was in a great location to the beach, Shelter Cove, General Store,etc..We have rented at PD many many times and did, however, find this particular unit not as well equipped as others. There was absolutely No cleaning supplies at all. Nothing to wipe down counters, etc.. Usually there is always at least a bottle of cleaning spray under the sink.On the deck, there was a very small charcoal grill. Every other unit we have ever rented has had a gas grill. The unit was clean when we arrived, but the carpets were soaking wet. There were no beach chairs, umbrella or bike rentals. Most other units have at least provided a couple beach chairs.The decor was dated but in good shape. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay again, but have had stayed in other units which were a little better equipped and updated. All in all, we had a wonderful trip.

Decent size, desperately in need of upgrades

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental was a nice size for a family of 5 but desperately in need of upgrades. The bathrooms look recently upgraded to shower stalls but they are EXTREMELY narrow so watch for bumped elbows and knees. The vertical and slatted blinds are yellowing and falling apart. The couches in the living room really need to be changed, they are a faded plaid design that has seen better days. Kitchen appliances were very basic, toaster did not work at all. Overall, the rental was clean and spacious enough for our needs. We would not stay here again if we returned to HH. The location in Palmetto Dunes is very central to everything so that was great. The Palmetto Dunes Resort lacks two things. There is no decent sized pool to accommodate guests. They have a few tiny pools scattered around that could accommodate, maybe 5 people at most. There's is also no fitness center. I was shocked as I have never been to a resort that did not provide a fitness center for people who prefer working out indoors. We made the best of it but the lack of those two, especially a pool for the kids, was very disappointing.

Good location and very spacious.

Great place for a guys golf trip. Very spacious and good location. Only concern we had was the barbecue was quite dirty had not been cleaned for a while.

Best location in palmetto.

Great location. Clean, spacious & close to golf, pool & beaches. On 28th hole next to club house. Third time there. Great bargain. All you need is your swim suits and golf clubs.
