Lovely Visit

This was a lovely condo. Great view, nice pool, beach access and well-stocked kitchen.Only two items that could be addressed -The fan in the twin bedroom appears to be loose, wobbling when it spins.The kitchen towels could be replaced. Great location with awesome amenities - Decor could use an update

We felt safe letting the kids walk around within the gated community and loved being on the end of the island with the boardwalk around the property. It's centrally located so we were able to spend part of our time in Clearwater and part in Ft. De Soto without having too long a drive and St. Pete is just around the corner! The pool was nice and spacious and there were plenty of places to fish. The condo was absolutely spotless, but very dated. It is very 1980's decor, flooring and cabinetry. For the price, with the location, it was a good rental choice for us, but I would prefer a more updated interior next time. Resort Rentals was fabulous to work with - the rental process was flawless!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Lands End is a great location. The complex is set up perfectly for a beautiful family vacation. However, the rental in Building 1 Room 405 is so out dated it doesn't seem clean. Original door hardware, cabinets, floor, sinks and faucets make the condo less than desirable. The one saving grace was that it was in a perfect location considering proximity to entrance, volleyball, grille, pool, etc. it was a major downer to pay the same price as everyone else feeling like we were in a run down condo.

Not happy!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great view! Needs a lot of renovations! We have stayed at Land's End for the past 3 yrs. and have never complained or had a problem! This unit was just not satisfactory. From the knobs in the bathrooms that were dirty to uncomfortable beds. The king bed was OK but the twins & sleeper were not. I will ad that everything did work showers, plumbing ect. Also this unit does not accommodate 6 people. Maybe 4 adults & 2 small children. We don't think this was standard for this beautiful property. I saw unit 407, why should we have been charged the same amount for a unit that was in much better shape!! We would love to stay there again. However we feel a discount is due for our next stay! I was going to contact Resorts Realty personally! I do not want this review put on line, we know this was not a premier unit, let's give the owners a chance to make some improvements! Great Resort not so Great Unit

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was the third year we have stayed at Lands End. We absolutely love the resort itself and were pleased with our last 2 units, but this year we were disappointed in the unit we stayed in building 1-unit 405. It is very old the only thing that seemed semi updated was the sectional and the kitchen table. it felt old and dirty. We are not picky people but when paying for a vacation you want something you are comfortable in. I didn't feel it had been cleaned very well before we arrived either. There was a table cloth on the kitchen table when we arrived it was sticky like syrup and when I removed it there was food smeared on the glass top. If we walked bare foot on the tile our feet turned black, kept socks or flip flops on. The master bed mattress was AWFUL it needs to be replaced, tthe springs squeeked everytime you moved on the thing also. I went to the store and bought cleaner and wiped down the place before I did anything. I will not be staying in this unit again, but will definetly be back to Lands End.

How Away From Home

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Land's End is a beautiful piece of property, located just a short walk across the boardwalk to the pristine beach. The property is quite, but there is lots to do. Beach, pool, volleyball, shuffle board, and walks around the whole property on the boardwalk. Our unit was a 2/2 gulf view across from the pool and next to the grill, it was easy to get to everything. We will definitely come here again.

A Land's End regular

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Have stayed at Lands End 4 of last 5 yrs. Stayed in this same unit the 1st yr. Unique location with water on 3 sides of property. Secluded yet close to restaurants, groc stores and shops. We knew the décor of the unit was dated and we have no problem with that given the other pluses such as the great view yet cheaper that a beach front unit. It's right next to pool, grills, etc. Unit has lots of kitchen & dining supplies. Unit needs some handyman work though. The problems were defects like vertical blinds not working well, kitchen drawer face coming off and pantry/laundry room's bi-fold door with bad track (it wasn't much better 4 yrs ago), we had to remove it for our use. Foyer flood light out, and with no light just outside front door that's recessed from the bldg. hallway we couldn't see in the front closet with the beach supplies without a flashlight. Will probably go for a different unit in same or nearby bldg. next time.

Lands End Winter Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There were a few things that needed attention. The screen sliders didn't slide well in the living and guest rooms. It was almost like some not thoughtful guest had bent the track. The tracks did need a good cleaning and oiling. The screens have not been put on properly anyway, they are on the wrong track. A brand new TV had been put in the master bedroom, but when running the wire the edge of the carpet was left without anything to hold it down. The vacuum loves things like that. The view is spectacular, the dining table is larger than some which is wonderful, the balcony is a delight with a table large enough for guests. Each room has a TV if that is what you choose to do. The rental company does everything in their power to make sure your stay is great. We love it there, but do wish they would renovate some. We have been staying there for 10 or more years. We do wish other renters would be thoughtful of someone else's property.
