Lake Home w/ Amazing Views near St. Joseph, beaches, and wineries

Welcome to our cozy, updated beach house located close to St. Joseph featuring spectacular views of Lake Michigan.

Amenities include an expansive back deck, stone fire pit, grill, gas fireplace, high speed Wi/Fi, board games, an office space, and a private covered deck for the primary bedroom with a gorgeous lake view.

Rocky Gap Beach is only three miles away. Popular Silver Beach, Harbor Shores golf, wineries and breweries, and the coastal town of St. Joseph are all within ten minutes.

The space
This three bedroom, two bathroom 2000-square foot house is perched on the bluff overlooking gorgeous Lake Michigan. It is perfectly located only ten minutes from downtown St. Joseph, Harbor Shores, and popular Silver Beach, which is fantastic for families.

Enjoy the custom stone fire pit, expansive back deck with grill and outdoor seating and dining, and the gorgeous sunsets over Lake Michigan each evening.

While the water views are amazing, there is no beach access at the house due to the steep bluff.

However, there are four great beaches within ten minutes, including Rocky Gap less than three miles away, Jean Klock, and Silver Beach in St. Joseph.

The House:

The house is located on a peaceful and private street overlooking Lake Michigan.

Enjoy an open floor plan with views of the water from the living room, kitchen, and dining room, as well as the primary bedroom upstairs.

Enjoy your morning coffee from the beverage nook. Grill out on the deck or make delicious meals in the upgraded kitchen stocked with modern amenities, stainless steel appliances, and stone countertops. You can also work remotely from the dedicated workspace in the downstairs bedroom.

Relax on the deck as you take in the views, listen to the seagulls, and watch the boats drift past from your perch high on the bluff.

Use the included beach chairs, beach towels, and cooler to explore the nearby beaches. After a day of fun in the water, play some board games from the game cabinet, curl watch a movie on the 85” flat screen TV in the living room or in one of the bedrooms (guests have subscription access to Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+), or warm up by the custom gas fireplace.


In the evenings, watch as the sun sets each night over Lake Michigan and enjoy conversation with friends and family around the fire pit. At night, fall asleep to the gentle lull of the waves.

The Bedrooms:

Upstairs, the primary bedroom features a luxurious king bed, a comfortable sofa that unfolds into a queen bed, and floor-to-ceiling windows offering spectacular views of Lake Michigan. A double sliding glass door opens onto the private covered deck.

Enjoy the large en-suite bathroom featuring travertine tile, a large custom tile shower, jacuzzi tub, and double sinks.

Bedroom Two is upstairs down the hall from the primary bedroom and includes a Twin XL over Queen bunk bed, roomy closet, and a 50” TV.

Bedroom Three is on the main level with a queen bed, roomy closet, large 45" flat screen TV, and an office/desk area. Each bedroom includes USB chargers on the nightstands.

The second bathroom is downstairs off the foyer and features travertine tile and a large custom shower.

There is a laundry room on the main level, with detergent provided.

Please note: There is no beach access at this property. Attempting to descend the bluff is strictly prohibited due to its steepness.

Nearby Activities:
Silver Beach is by far the best beach for families in the area. Play on the beach playground, try your hand at beach volleyball, rent some paddle boards or kayaks, splash around in the giant splash pad fountain, ride the carousel, and walk the famous St. Joe pier to the lighthouse. Charter a fishing boat, rent a sailboard, or try your hand at boogie boarding.

Next, head up the bluff to downtown St. Joe’s picturesque river walk and snack on ice cream or a sweet drink while you peruse art galleries, souvenir shops, and clothing boutiques, or explore the cobblestone streets on a surrey bike that seats up to ten people!

Other activities include exploring miles of dune trails on foot or rent mountain bikes. Climb the giant dunes at nearby Warren Dunes. Taste and drink your way through the many excellent wineries and breweries in the heart of the Midwest’s wine country.

If you enjoy golf, don’t miss Harbor Shores Resort, which is the only Jack Nicklaus signature golf course on Lake Michigan. It’s located seven minutes from the house.

When you’re hungry, visit one of the dozens of award-winning restaurants, including beloved Silver Beach Pizza, where you can eat the best pizza in Michigan inside an actual train station. Or head back to the house, fire up the grill on the deck, and eat dinner while enjoying another spectacular sunset.

Southwest Michigan isn’t only a summer destination. Fall is also a wonderful time to visit, as the leaves transform into glorious shades of yellow and burnt orange, purple and scarlet.

Spend your days enjoying fall color and wine tours, hiking, beach-combing, apple-picking, bird-watching, and curling up next to a fire on the bluff, enjoying the gas fireplace, and listening to the waves as the sun sets over Lake Michigan.

In winter, try cross-country skiing, ice skating, and visiting museums, art galleries, and delicious restaurants.

The beach towns of South Haven, New Buffalo, Union Pier are within driving distance, along with Notre Dame.

This property is located close to everything, so you can enjoy all Southwest Michigan has to offer.
