The unit was excellent and as described and as the photos indicate. The management team was fantastic and super responsive. We were very pleased with how spacious the unit was for our visit. Location and proximity to the beach and local walkable amenities was a huge bonus. We plan to come back and will seek this unit again

I would give the Shorewood complex a 3.5-4.0 out of 5, but would give this unit a 3.0. There wasn’t anything that stood out positively. It was fine, but couldn’t justify higher than 3 stars. Furniture felt old and couched well used. Kitchen was minimally equipped. Cabinets beaten up. With that said, you can absolutely have a wonderful stay here as long as you aren’t expecting a 5 star level of unit. The Shorewood pool and location is fantastic!

We loved the unit and the location. The communication of the managers was prompt, kind, and efficient. The pool area and the beach are fantastic. We do have a few suggestions. The bed in the downstairs master is extremely hard and there are no towel racks in the primary downstairs bathroom. Parking is a bit confusing because the spaces are number but they do not correspond to the unit numbers - it is first come, first served. Overall, we had a great stay!

The beach in front of the building was a construction zone and accordingly the beach was inaccessible to guests and residents. There was no mention of it on the vrbo page or in the welcome email.

The beach renourishment project has been underway since October 2025 and is a town-managed initiative that occurs every 5–10 years to preserve and protect Hilton Head’s shoreline. While it is a temporary inconvenience, it is essential to maintaining the long-term beauty and health of our beaches. We completely understand how the construction activity in front of the building may have impacted your experience, particularly if you were expecting immediate beach access in that area. While the beach itself does remain open during the project, there are phases where sections are actively being worked on and equipment is present. We do communicate this project on our direct website and island communications, but we understand how that messaging may not have been as visible on third-party booking platforms like Vrbo. We were glad to provide you 10% refund to acknowledge the disruption and appreciate your understanding that this was a community infrastructure project outside of our control. Hilton Head’s beaches are already looking beautiful in the completed sections, and the finished result will benefit visitors for many years to come. We hope you will consider returning to enjoy the island once the project is fully complete. The Vacation Company

We loved our family stay at Shorewood. Condo offered all we needed to stay together and have beach time, pool time and walking access to restaurants and shopping! The place was clean and comfortable. WiFi was a little slow which didn’t bother us too much, we were on vacation. Thanks for the great stay!

Great place

Great place. However the kitchen stove needs to be replaced (could not control the burners) and the braided rug in the first floor bedroom is falling apart and is a dangerous tripping hazard. Otherwise I would rate this place 5 stars

Thank you for your review Edward. Upon inspection I found some of the seams on the rug to be coming apart, so that will be replaced immediately. As for the stove and oven, I just tested all the burners and the oven and found no issues. So I’m not sure what happened there. Great trip with family. perfect location to walk or bike to the plaza with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The little one loved walking to the beach and park. Nice quiet complex, only wish to come back when the pool is heated!

Good space for family, great location

Great space and layout for family traveling and staying together (4 adults and 2 kids, we had lots of space!) Kitchen had everything you need to cook in and grocery store is a short drive. Of course the property is adjacent to the beach and walkable to restaurants and shops nearby. We walked to the pirate ship park nearby one day, my kids loved it! Would stay here again.

Beautifully maintained property, excellent rental company.

We had a family trip this past week. The property was clean, beautiful and accurately represented in all of the photos. We had a few things come up, the Vacation Company was extremely responsive and helpful. We always stay in the same complex, and will continue to book with the Vacation Company.

Fantastic vacation!

The property was located perfectly to get on bike trails, go shopping and the beach. The unit was as pictured. Plenty of room for my husband and I, 3 kids and parents. Pool was nice. If there was a place to grill it’d be perfect. The only downside was that there were some rowdy guests between 11:30 pm and 2:30 am that were very loud and woke us up every night.
