Welcome to the Houndstooth! A family-friendly 3Br, 2Ba home in Ft. Morgan

Experience Gulf Shores like a local in this beautiful 3-bedroom house. Inside, guests find a superb mix of comfort and style, featuring a king bed, 2 full beds, 2 twin beds, and a convenient Murphy bed. Two bathrooms offering showers and bathtubs as well as hair dryers and soaps for added convenience.

The house stays comfortable year-round with heating and AC, making it a perfect retreat no matter the season. Whether you’re unwinding after a day of adventure or gathering for a cozy evening, this phenomenal home welcomes you with open arms. Experience the magic of Gulf Shores at our house.

We are close to Tacky Jacks 2 and a short drive to Jesse's on the Bay. Spectacular sunrises and sunsets are a two-minute walk away! No need to bring beach gear! We offer beach chairs, floats, beach toys, yard games, beach towels and more! Just a short drive to Fort Morgan, yummy food, outlet shopping, the zoo, the waterpark and more!

Great location

This quaint little place was perfect for our 6 night stay and accommodated all 9 of us. It was clean, cute and close to the beach! The outside shower was a super nice bonus and if we ever vacation in the same spot twice, this is where I would hope to stay again. Great experience all around :)

Loved the Happy Place

This is a great place! Vacationed with the family and everything in the house helped make the trip enjoyable. From the well appointed kitchen to toys for the kids to a stockpile of games for rainy days made staying here easy. I definitely enjoyed being away from the tourist crunch in Gulf Shores. There is only a short walk to the beach without having to cross any busy streets. Next time I will bring my fishing poles! Our host was very helpful in all of our requests.

We LOVED the Happy Place

This place is the perfect spot for families! Easy walk to the beach and the owner was very easy to get in touch with. Kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. The master bedrooms bed was so so comfortable! Perfect, relaxing spot away from all the hustle and bustle! Would definitely book again!

Great place for families!

We had another fun stay at the Happy Place! Well maintained, clean place that’s a very easy walk down a quiet side street to the beach — it has a lot of great touches that make it feel like a home away from home (a well equipped kitchen, sand toys for the kids, etc).

Cozy House!

Thank you for sharing your home with us. It was so cozy and homey. We enjoyed Fort Morgan and the Ferry Ride. Sunsets at the fort were beautiful. Morning walks on the beach, were a great way to start our mornings! We’ll be back.

Relaxing Vacation

We enjoyed our stay at “It’s our Happy Place “, very relaxing and quiet- just what we wanted! Was great to be able to take our senior fur baby! The beach was wonderful, wish the weather would have been better. Overall very satisfied with this property!

Another Great Stay at The Happy Place!

This is our 5th or 6th time coming to this beautiful home. This part of the beach is so peaceful and less crowded. The beach itself if just so beautiful. The house is perfect for our family - plenty of room, toys for kids to play with, and just an overall clean home that really makes you feel at home. Can't wait to come back next year!

My happy place

Beautiful home. Communication with owner was awesome she got back with me almost immediately. Love this home. 2 minute walk to the beach and it's perfect. I highly recommend this beach house.

Such a Great Place

Close to a more private beach and great for a family of 6! Far drive to town is the only drawback and lack of curtains means super early wake up call from toddlers. Quiet neighborhood and clean house is a great deal!

Wonderful Week

We had an amazing week. It was our children’s first time at the ocean and they had a blast. Definitely a vacation they won’t forget. The house was in the perfect location. Plenty of room for two adults, four children, and our dog. So nice that they had toys for indoors and outdoors to keep the kiddos busy. Already looking forward to our next stay at The Happy Place!

Great Location

We had never stayed this far down Fort Morgan before and now it’s the only area we will stay! The beach is close and the house was perfect for our dogs and almost 4 year old.

Best beach house in Gulf Shores!

We LOVED our stay at the Happy Place! None of us wanted to leave today. Property was just as described. 2 minute walk to the beach and it was a great area of beach as well. We had everything we needed to hole up for a few days and relax. We couldnt believe how many games, beach toys, and kids toys there were in the house to play with. The kids proclaimed at the best vacation we've ever had! We can't wait to come back and stay in the warmer season!

Our New Happy Place

We have been coming to Gulf Shores/ Ft Morgan area for 30+ years, so I feel like I can give some authentic feedback. We have stayed in condos and houses with and without dogs, small children and adult children The is hands down our best experience as far as accommodations are concerned. I started to give less than a 5 star rating when it came to a true representation of the property only because it is actually better than presented. Hope we can come back soon. Only problem I had was logging on to internet. I sent a note and Jill contacted me in minutes not hours or even days.

Our family has owned Houndstooth (formerly Happy Place) since 2012! We've spent so many summers here! This is our second home - not just a vacation rental. We are HUGE Alabama fans (RTR), as well as cheering on the Predators and Titans in Nashvile.

This area is a great mix of local residents and vacationers. Nothing beats the hospitality of Sweet Home Alabama!

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

We try to offer our guests as many conveniences as possible. There are indoor games and puzzles, as well as outdoor games. We have a grill, picnic table and outdoor shower under the house.

Our storage room is filled with fishing poles, beach chairs, beach toys, and floats.

We stock 10 beach towels at our house and ask only that you wash, dry, and put them away before you leave.

Our kitchen is well-stocked with many spices and condiments. We have a regular coffeemaker and there is normally coffee, sugar and creamer already stocked!
