Guest access
Guests will have exclusive and private access to the entire home, including all bedrooms, bathrooms, the kitchen, and the living area. You will also have full access to the private pool, the screened-in lanai, and the backyard with direct lake access. Entry is via a secure keyless entry system, and you will receive your unique code prior to check-in. The laundry room is also available for your private use.

Other things to note
POOL HEATING (optional): Pool heat is available for 20 USD per night for the entire stay. The heater is set to about 82-84°F and runs during the day, so the water cools overnight and warms back up by late morning/afternoon. On cooler Naples nights (especially Dec–Apr), low air temperatures can limit how warm the pool feels, and the system may enter a normal freeze‑protection mode to protect the equipment. If you’d like the pool heated, please let us know at least 24 hours before arrival so we can start warming it in advance. Pool heating details are below.

AVAILABILITY and PRICES: As noted above, swimming pool heating is optional and available for 20 USD per night. If you choose pool heat, the charge applies to every night of your stay (it cannot be turned on for only some nights).

TARGET TEMPERATURE and HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS: This is not a hot-tub. It is a swimming pool. When pool heat is added, the heater is set to maintain approximately 82-84°F under normal weather conditions. My system is an electric heat‑pump heater, which pulls warmth from the outside air. It is most effective during daylight hours, when the air is warmer. To operate efficiently and protect the equipment, the heat pump runs during the day and shuts off at night, when cooler air makes heating inefficient.

WHAT TO EXPECT WITH TIMING: Because the heater does not run overnight, the pool will naturally cool down at night and can feel cooler early in the morning. It typically takes several hours of daylight for the heater to bring the water back toward the target range, so the pool will feel warmest from late morning through late afternoon, not first thing in the morning. If you’d like the pool heated, please let me know in advance, so I can start the heating cycle before your arrival and reduce the warm‑up time.

WEATHER LIMITATIONS (December–April especially): Naples evenings, especially December through April, can be cooler than many guests expect. When nighttime temperatures drop below about 60°F, the heat pump may not be able to keep the water at 82-84°F, even while it is running during the day. If temperatures get very low, the system may automatically shut off or enter “freeze‑protection” mode to safeguard the equipment. This is normal and designed to prevent damage. Because of these weather factors, water temperature may fluctuate and cannot be guaranteed during unusually cold periods.

OPERATIONAL NOTES: Heating a full‑size pool uses substantial energy and requires the heat pump to run consistently, which is why the fee is per night for the entire stay once you opt in. Pool heat is optional and is not included in the base nightly rate, so guests who prefer a natural‑temperature pool are not charged for this additional utility cost.

HOW TO REQUEST POOL HEAT: If you would like pool heat added, please message me at least 24 hours before check‑in. I will send a payment request through VRBO for 20 USD × number of nights in your reservation. Once accepted, we will activate the heater and begin warming the pool before your arrival.

POOL CONTROLS: For safety and equipment protection, guests DO NOT have access to adjust the pool pump, heat pump, or lighting. All settings are managed remotely by the host through a secure system. If you need any adjustments, just message me, and I will be happy to help.
