Rhianne was a fantastic hostess and responded quickly to our needs. The beach and Fifth ave are really close by. Pool and grounds are well kept.

Great choice for Playa Del Carmen!!!

Very nice, spacious and well appointed condo. Rianne (owner) was very available and responsive. About 30 seconds away from the quiet end of 5th ave, this is the perfect place to stay if you want the fun of 5th ave, but not hear the "fun" all night long :) The keyed outer gate and night time private security means you always feel that you and your property are safe. Pool is a little small, but cute.

Great time in Playa!

This was our first trip to Playa del Carmen as well as our first experience with VRBO and both were very positive. Rianne and Dolo were excellent hosts and the condo was spotless and very centrally located. The beach and 5th Avenue are only one or 2 blocks away, very convenient for walking. We enjoyed the roof-top pool which was a perfect spot to meet the local tenants and guests. The building is gated complete with a security person for peace of mind. Once again, our hosts were super special and Dolo was excellent on the excursion "Turtles and Cenotes" as a photographer and guide assistant and Tonya was fantastic as a caring and knowledgeable guide.

Great owners, safe property

Diego and Rianne were terrific - so responsive and helpful! Check-in was super easy, exactly as described. We used the Google Maps directions that Rianne provided and they were perfect. The assigned parking spot was right outside and it was easy to get our bags to the first-floor room. A locked gate leads to an attractive interior courtyard, and the condo is right off that.The condo itself was very clean. The air conditioning worked great, and so did the washer and dryer. The condo itself feels a little older, but it’s exactly as pictured and perfectly adequate. We had an issue with the hot water not working and Diego came right over and reset the water heater, which solved the problem. He was great! Rianne was also super helpful with beach suggestions when we wanted something more than the tiny nearby beach. The location was convenient to easily walk to coffee, restaurants, gelato, convenience stores, etc. Loved the condo pool on the roof by the way!Thanks Rianne and Diego!

Great location, fantastic host

This is a great place to stay if you want a mixture of a tourist and local experience in Playa. Only a couple blocks from Quinta Avenida and all the shops/restaurants, but a much more local feeling. Apartment is clean and pool enjoyable, with great security in the building. Rianne was super friendly and helpful, making sure we were settled in even though we arrived a couple hours before check-in and recommended a couple great places to eat. Overall a fantastic spot!

Clean, good location, safe, old

The condo grounds were beautiful. Very safe, need a key to get in gate. Owner very good at communication. Condo itself is a little old, rugs are rags in the bathroom, decor is fine. Sink in master bath didn't work on arrival but owner fixed promptly and left a bottle of wine for us. Overall, this is a good place.

Amazing Location

Rianne the property manager is amazing with how prompt she is with communication. We had a couple issues with the apartment and she responded immediately and did what she had to get things resolved for us. She and the property owner went over and beyond to make sure that our stay was pleasant and comfortable. The location was awesome, short walk to the beach and to 5th Ave. Having the rooftop pool area was a nice change from the beach everyday. Would stay here again!

Perfect location

Very spacious and comfortable. Loved the walking distance to beaches and to the restaurants. Very safe with security. The pool was clean and e had it to ourselves most days. I would recommend anyone to stay here. We rented a car but it would have been cheaper to use taxi’s due to being able to walk everywhere.

Great stay!

Attractive, pool very nice. Great location-2 blocks to beach , 2 blocks to 5th ave. and great restaurants. Quiet neighborhood and residence. You will love it here! We did.

Comfort, safety, and location

We loved our stay at Casa Meridian! Rianne, our hostess, was absolutely charming and responsive to our needs. The apartment is well stocked with towels, chairs, dishes, etc. There are air conditioners and fans in each room. Up three flights you will find a lovely, small rooftop pool with shower and restrooms and plenty of lounge chairs. The building is perfectly located between 5th Ave and the beach, and there is 24-hour security guard service. We felt completely safe. When we had an issue ( one beach chair was worn out, AC needed service), Rianne responded within minutes and resolved the issue within a day. In addition, she arranged transfer service for us to and from the airport, and to Xel-Ha for an excursion. Ask her about arranging tours, as well - she is a wealth of knowledge and is happy to help. To be clear, this is not a luxury resort, but a safe, comfortable, convenient, and immaculately clean condo. We look forward to staying here again!

Very cute place.. Close to the beach

Very cute condo with everything included. Excellent AC, extremely close to the beach, and walking distance to 5th avenue. Everything you could ask for in a condo. I always felt safe at night with their security also.

Nice condo, priced well

Positives: We picked this ground floor garden condo for its closeness to the beach, the roof top pool, the 2 Bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. We were 2 related couples. It is truly a secure building with Wrought Iron Gates and 24 hr friendly security guards, alto we never ever felt threatened anywhere we went in Playa. The condo was nicely appointed with decent furniture and a full kitchen (but no dishwasher). The beds were comfortable. With their washer and dryer one doesn't need to bring a lot of clothes; they worked fine. It was only 2 blocks to the famous Quinta Ave (5th Avenue) with its shops, available taxis, and many restaurants. AND the covering manager could not have been more helpful! When we first arrived, she also put the 2 twin beds together to make a Queen bed for us that we had requested when booking. When we had a medical emergency, the covering manager gave us detailed information of hospitals and doctors. We were somewhat disappointed in the following: 1) that there were 7 flights of steps up to the rooftop pool. Being seniors, we did not get to use this area at all, because of all the steps. 2) There were only 3 wash cloths for 4 people for 9 days, and some ragged bath towels. 3) The only TV was in the living room (when it rained for 3 days) and we could not find English speaking programs. 4) There was water noise continuous dripping in the master bathroom. Apparently there were leaks in several condos, so that water to the building was turned off for several hours to be able to fix them. However water noise of running or dripping continued to come from the chase way in the master bath. We were able to block off the sound by closing the bath door. 4) The beach was a very LONG block (2) away, and unfortunately it was really a narrow area of sand, with tons of seaweed and a very nasty smell. Some business owners along the beach had dozers that cleared the seaweed away, but not by this condo. So we had to go a long way (2 miles) south, near the ferry, to find clean beaches. All in all, the condo is very comfortable, nice furniture, secure, and worth the nightly rental price.

Great appartment in a quiet area in Playa

The contact with the host was very good. She waited for us when we arrived and shows us around. She had great advice and took her time to explain everything. That was so kind. The appartment is very clean and has everything what we needed, including netflix! So that was great. The contact during our stay was perfect as well. When we had some questions we text the host and she answered directly. Also the location of the appartment was good. It was in a quiet area near the beach and very close to the centre. We had a very nice stay and we recommend the appartment to other guests.

Location was fantastic - 5 minute walk to the beach and similar walk to 5th where there is lots of restaurants and shopping. Rianne greeted us there when we arrived, the condo was clean and looked just like the pictures advertised on VRBO. When we asked to have it cleaned it happened the next day. There were beach chairs, beach towels, umbrella and snorkel gear for the kids to use. Our kids used the pool a few times and it wasn't busy at all. There are bathrooms in the pool area as well which was really convenient. This was our first non all inclusive vacation and was a good experience. Thanks again Rianne!

Great Location

The owner greeted us when we arrived and was very friendly. Location of the condo was perfect. Close to the beech and fifth ave. We stayed in 109 bottom floor. We found that it was very noisy in the morning as construction was going on across the street. We could not use one of the bathrooms as the toilet was broken and never fixed. The room was supposed to have a DVD player but did not. We also found that the shower and sink faucets needed to be replaced. Other than that it was ok. The pool area was very clean and fun to sit around and have a drink.

Super sauberes Apartment in ruhiger Lage aber dennoch Nahe an sämtlichen Geschäften, Bars, usw.

Nur zu empfehlen. Sehr netter Kontakt mit der Besitzerin. Sie war zu jeder Zeit bei auftretenden Problemen für uns erreichbar und stand mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Die Unterkunft selbst istbsuper aufgeteilt und die einzelnen Zimmer sind einwandfrei.

Great location - clean place

My stay was a brief 2-days. I arrived late yet Diego was very attentive and met me with great hospitality. The condo was clean and was adequately equipped. We would definitely return - we like the Meridian building a lot because it's well located in the Coco Beach neighborhood - it's only a few hundred yards from the beach. Thanks!

We really had such a wonderfull time in ! Mexico! Thanks to this great appartment...its cozy, the beds stept real good and the pool on the roof made it compleet! I recommand it to al kind of people like families or just a small group of Friends etc! If you are planning to go to Mexico, stay at this place for a great holliday

Excellent all around

Great apartment on the ground floor, located in a very central yet quiet location (there are lots of parties in playa, so this is very important) it was super close to the beach and 1 block away from the famous 5th avenue. The place was spotless and very spacious for our family of four, with 3 toilets (great for quick getaways in the morning) It was equipped with everything we needed for the beach or the roof pool (chairs, coolbox, floaters, beach towels, etc) and had coffee in the kitchen cabinet to help fight the jet lag! Felt very welcomed from the get go as well and had great communication with our hosts. After a manic day with the family on the beach, the apartment was the perfect place to rest and prepare for the next day. Highly recommended and definitely coming back.

Excellent!

It is a lovely apartment really comfortable, big and nice. The location is perfect, near the 5th avenue to go walking but not noisy at all. It is also secure and has a lovely rooftop, pool and parking. Couldn't have had better holidays!

Nice find!

Family friendly (4 and 9 year old!) plus Grandma, close to the beach (less than 2 blocks!), nice rooftop pool and sunning area. Secure and quiet but close to the action of 5th Avenue which has plenty of restaurants and shops. No need to taxi or rent a car due to great location. Both bedrooms have own bathroom which is nice for privacy! Only minor issue (a couple of times) with lack of hot water for taking shower which would usually be later in the day/evening. Adults were "ok" with a cool shower, but it was hard to give kids baths after day at the beach. Otherwise, great place! Our flight had mechanical problems and was several hours later that expected and Rianne was accommodating and met us when we arrived, even though it was well after midnight. She was also available if/when needed although we didn't need anything as the unit is pretty well set up. Definitely plan to stay again!
