Avoid at all costs!!!

This property owners are scammers, they will charge you additionally for something you never done. Also they will offer you a "discount" if you pay through Venmo, but at the end they will say that they never offered you any discounts, so oyu will endup paying twice.

Great home in Maui!

Nida was great to work with! We really enjoyed our stay, the house was very clean and comfortable. Close to everything in Kihei and rest of the island. The Maui Sunset complex was beautiful as well!

Rental and Nida are both fantastic

I can’t rave enough about this property and the property owner, Nida. This property had everything we needed for this trip and more! The amenities alone was enough but the cleanliness and the communication was above and beyond. Nida kept constant communication prior to, during, and the day of checking out. I highly recommend this property.

I would do this one again. The property was an older property in Kihei, immediately adjacent to S. Kihei road. It is budget-friendly and reasonably spacious for a couple. The owner was responsive to a repair need, and also to me when I misscommunicated (Thank you!). The unit deck gave spectacular views of Haleakala. The nearness of Kihei road produced unfortunate traffic noise when loud motorcycles and loud music rolled by... The interior of the complex was spectacular with golf-course style manicured grass and beautiful mature plumeria trees. Add a great pool and jacuzzi with all this opening to Waipulani park and beach. The sunsets are spectacular. The BBQ grills were abundant and clean. While the beach was populated with rough coral and the reef too shallow to snorkel comfortably, the complex location is mere minutes from some of the finest beaches on Maui. You can certainly walk the nearby beach holding hands with your sweetheart. If possible to open up the unit to the complex's interior park, this would be a fantastic plus!

Felt like family.

This unit was a little smaller than I am used to, but was perfect for my move transition from the mainland. The unit has everything expected and the amenities were top notch. Pool, grills and the sunsets. What more could one ask for? The property manager was an absolute dream to deal with. She answered all of my questions quickly and even offered some local help in a few other matters unrelated to her unit. Truly felt like family. Thank you!!

BEWARE: Disgusting and Horrible- both condo and owner

Upon arrival it was clear that this property was not cleaned properly and was someone's personal home. The lanai had a huge amount of sand, bird droppings, all but one beach chair was rusted and dirty, the boogie board foam was broke, coffee drips down the side of mugs pulled from the cupboard, oil and stuck food on the bottom of pans, foil lining the bottom of the stove drip pans or just boiled over food, nails protruding from furniture catching clothes and legs, the arms of the wicker sofa wobbling back and forth, the headboard on the bed unattached to anything falling forward towards your head at night. The dryer does not vent externally which caused an allergic reaction, my eyelids swelled and it became difficult to breathe. I could not run it if I was in the condo and had to leave both A/c's on to circulate. I reached out to the owner and offered to clean these things myself (I did not want extra people in the condo due to covid nor the inconvenience of having to get out of the way) and to also fix some of the things like replacing the drip pans and nailing in the nails, in exchange for two nights. She declined and insisted on coming in on Easter morning. We went to the pool for two hours. I came back to the condo torn apart and the owner herself and a cleaner still "cleaning". We needed to get ready for easter dinner (we have local friends) so we began to get showered. The owner and cleaner just left, mid clean, with rags and used plastic gloves, screwdriver, vacuum cleaner left in the middle of the room. I reached out and asked what she would like me to do with these items and that I was still unhappy with the state of the condo. She proceeded to tell me that she did everything I asked and to just put the stuff in the laundry room. I told her that I should in the very least be offered a couple free nights. She said that "it wasn't her fault that other guests left it that way". This is where things take a turn from bad to worse. She began to text me (on my personal phone) and message me via VRBO at 5 am the next morning stating that I did not pay for my son only my daughter and that I owed her an additional $640. But that if I promised to give her a GREAT review she would reduce it to $380. Every time I tried to talk to her rationally she'd say "It's not my fault you didn't know there was a charge for additional guests" and then kept adding charges until I paid her. As a single mom with two kids I felt HARASSED and BULLIED. DO NOT RENT

Good place if you are on a Budget

Maui sunset is a great resort. It has great location and pool. You can accesa beach from the property. Nida's 1bhk in Maui sunset is a good find if you want to enjoy resort and are on a budget. The place was overall clean. We had some issues with a few things in house but when we informed Nida she took care of it immediately. She was prompt in her communication and followed up to make sure we had a good trip.

Very disappointed in the furnishings and cleanliness. Oceanfront property with a Mountain View is very misleading. Could not get in upon arrival (10:00 pm) and was unable to reach the owner by email. Hallway to the condo is not well lit, the code did not work so I Uber to another place. Checked out the next day, still disputing the charges with the owner. She was not very helpful and she actually lives on the island...

Old outdated musty and shabby

The condo was musty smelling, bedding skirt was torn, drapes were falling off tracks, one part of a 5 piece picture was set aside on the floor with the hardware still on the wall. Lamps etc were dusty. Bathroom was so small it was difficult to turn around in and you have to leave the bathroom to access the sink to wash. Owner has a timer on the air conditioning unit so it won’t run long while you are gone so you come home to a very hot place difficult to cool down. Furniture is uncomfortable. Place overlooks the street, but fairly quiet. Kitchen is well stocked. I took pictures if interested.

Good location and very accomondating!

The location is nice and ultra convenient for the beach and to hang out locally. Only a short drive to all the amenities. The host is fabulous and super helpful, understanding and accommodating. Already planning our return!

Needs better cleaning. Shower was moldy. Towels & sheets & pillows old & stained.

Though I liked the quiet & privacy of the unit, the shower had mildew/mold as did the bedroom air conditioner causing me allergy & asthma problems. The towels and sheets are old & stained. Also, no bathroom sink which meant using kitchen sink for everything. But otherwise it was a good location & the Maui Sunset is a great place. Beautiful sunsets, pool & hot tub. Unit just needs some care.

Comfortable, tidy, pleasant stay

Very comfortable accommodations, especially for 1-2 people. I would give 5 stars except that the location has a bit more road noise than desirable. Even with the noise, however, I'd seek this unit out again. The owner was very friendly (virtually; we didn't get the chance to meet in person) and helpful, and I would definitely rent from her again if can.

Studios a little small, but

It's really awesome for one person with a great Haleakala view and quick walk to the ocean on a well manicured lawns with a pool and hot tub. Two people can do fine in there intimately.

Lovely place! Had everything we needed and more!

We loved having the boogie boards and going right out to the beach across the immaculate lawn at the Maui sunset resort& we like the lighted tiki torches and the tennis courts right in front of the ocean. We never went to the sauna or the workout room because there was just too many other things to see and do in that area it was very conveniently located, we even found the way to walk along the beach and cut through the neighborhoods to get to the restaurants and shops instead of walking along the road. What a great place thank you so much for all the extra amenities food and condiments

Maui Sunset

Large resort with ocean views in all units. 5 stories with nice lanai's. Great parking. Close to the ocean with a beautiful lawn to the sea. Pool and hot tub. Tennis courts. Very quiet. The fifth floor unit has the birds eye view. Kitchen is well equipped and anything needed can be purchased at Savers. The two bathrooms are nice for two people. Large bathtub and shower combo. Needs a bedroom window. Fun place.
