Great location

Really a perfect location. On the beach, a semi private beach between two beach clubs that you can choose from. One block from the middle of the main drag but still feels isolated enough. Condo was very nice. Perfect for our family of sex.

Really nice. Center of everything

Summer Vacation!

My family was there the 1st week of July for family vacation! We LOVED it! Everyone is so nice and helpful! We loved the beach area and both restaurants on either side that would bring your food and drinks! 5th street is just a few steps away and that is great for shopping and food! I am planning a girls in September and I think we are going to try and stay here as well.

Really love Luna Encantada

We really loved the condo, the location is perfect with everything that’s nearby. It’s not my first time staying at one of Susan Mattingly’s properties and my experience has been really good. Check in took about 30 seconds. Abdias is the guy to help you with anything you need, he’s great! We will definitely go back and I wish it was today!

Perfect for our family

The staff is overboard friendly and helpful. Walking out of condo a few feet we were at a beautiful infinity pool. A few more feet we were at the beach. The young man that worked for the complex at the beach was always helpful in setting up beach chairs, umbrellas, and a side table. He always offered to have someone take our order if we needed anything to eat or drink while we were out there. The attendants around the complex made us feel very safe.

Wonderful condo, great patio location!

Susan was great to work with. She and her husband happened to be staying in their condo and we enjoyed meeting and talking with them both. She always got right back to us with our questions. The condo had the best location, 20 steps from the pool and the ocean view from the patio was a big plus. We sat out each night and enjoyed the ambiance The condo was as described and we were very pleased. Our two favorite restaurants were El Fagon and Asadero el Pollo. We hope to come back soon.

Best place in Playa del Carmen for families!

We stayed in a 3 bedroom E2 and loved everything about this rental! We were 5 adults and 2 kids. This place has it all! It is right on the beach, has a beautiful infinity pool and you are a 30 second walk from la Quinta! It is family oriented so there is no party scene and so quiet at night. Abdias had our umbrella waiting for us as soon as we hit the beach! Our boys loved playing in the little tide pools in the rocks, right in front of us.The beach and property were clean and Abdias helped us order from Fusion a few times. We also ordered from Inti but liked the prices from Fusion better. We walked to WalMart to purchase groceries and ate most of our meals in, the kitchen was fully stocked and it was nice having unlimited water provided. I have been all over the world but Playa Del Carmen is very unique and we will for sure be going back to Luna Encantada in the future. There is nowhere else that I would even consider after staying here. Everyone there made our stay so special and we will definitely be back!

Amazing getaway! Just what we needed

The listing for this rental seemed too good to be true so I was honestly a little nervous. It was absolutely perfect. Traveling with my husband, our two little ones (1- and 3-year-old) and our mother-in-law, the condo was a perfect size, beautiful, clean and with an amazing view. Having access to the pool without having to walk down steps was such a blessing because otherwise we would have been running up and down stairs with the kiddos all day long. The beach is amazing. Edgar, who has been mentioned several times in these reviews, is there to set up chairs and umbrellas for you. The complex even has a (big!) set of sand toys for the little ones. Also, you can order food and drinks if you like from the place next door and they'll deliver right to your chair. Everything was super chill and relaxing. The staff on site was so lovely and indulged my three-year-old as he practiced Spanish. We had one problem with the dishwasher while we were there. The management company had someone come in to take a look right away. While ultimately, it was not able to be fixed (a full replacement was called for), the cleaning staff cleaned our dishes for us on the days that they came to clean. The location of the condo is similarly great. There are a few big grocery stores about a 10 to 15-minute walk away and if you're willing to venture up 5th avenue we found a great produce store as well as two organic food stores if that's your thing. There are restaurants everywhere and as you meander north, things just get continually nicer/more interesting. We didn't see anything else like Luna Encantada setup on the parts of the beach we walked. We're already planning our next trip back.

Best way to do Playa del Carmen

We had an amazing stay. The property and staff around were all great. Location was perfect. Getting discounted drinks served on the beach (from Inti beach club) was the cherry on top.

Perfect location

This home was such a great location. So close to the ocean, fun on the beach, and 1 block from 5th Ave. The views were out of this world!! Susan was great to work with. She responded fast and was courteous and worked with us on our check in and our times. My only issue is the furniture. The beds and living room furniture are extremely uncomfortable. We did survive, but would have preferred a much more comfortabele nights sleep.

Week trip family of 6

Our family of six spent the week here over Thanksgiving here and it was everything it promised. Block-off 5th Ave and right on the beach, what more can you ask for. The building is not large so had no problem getting chairs on the beach or around the pool. We have stayed in Playa at a number of different places and this by far was the best. Staff was constantly around and you could get food & drink delivered from the beach bar next door. In the unit, our family never felt cramped . Highly recomend.

Perfect Condo in Playa

Your search is over...Luna Encantada is by far the best beach complex in Playa. My family and I stayed in A1 for 2 weeks in May. I had originally chose this complex over a few other centrally located beach condos because I liked that it was smaller with only 24 units. Aftering arriving and seeing the other beach front Condos/Complexes in Playa, I was so glad we choose Luna. The complex is very safe with security guards and keypad entry from the street and beach. We also appreciated that the staff took pride in cleaning up the beach daily and unlike the other complexes, there are no boats anchored in front that prevent you from enjoying a swim or snorkel. The front desk staff, security guards and especially Jose and Edgar on the beach will make your stay even better than a resort with chair, umbrella and a table set up when you make your way to the sand. These guys even come around tucking your towels in and sweeping the sand off the bottom of chairs regularly, which is very thoughtful! The unit itself is beautifully decorated with cool central AC, large bedrooms and large bathrooms. The patio is a wonderful place to hang out and watch the kids swim with an ocean view. Your steps from 5th, food/drink service in your beach chair and a condo that feels like home...what more could you ask for?

Great Location

We have stayed in the Luna Encantado condos several times. The location is perfect with many restaurants right around the corner. I like that the complex is small so if you are at the pool or on the beach it is a short distance back to your condo. This is the first time that we have stayed on the first floor, and would stay in this unit again. We enjoyed spending time on the patio in the mornings and evenings. The condo was nicely decorated and very comfortable.

Beautiful unit, tiny pool and crowded and dirty beach.

Unit is big and beautiful. The downfalls of the unit are that you can't flush any toilet paper, gross and you might get charged if you stain the towels with makeup. Not sure how women are supposed to clean their face. The pool is tiny especially compared to resorts or other VRBO units, and yes we have visited Mexico three times in three years. The beach is crowded and very dirty. If you want to just come to party and hang out on fifth avenue then this unit is in a perfect location. We actually didn't even stay at the unit and ended up moving to another facility after being there an hour.

Fantastic Vacation! We will be back!

Unit A1 was exactly as advertised. Perfect! The condo was beautiful, clean and had everything we needed. This unit truly felt like a home away from home. The complex itself is smaller than others that we looked at before booking, which had great appeal to me. Even though many of the units were also occupied while we were there, it never felt crowded. It was definitely relaxing. The location of this condo is great! On the beach and 1 block from 5th avenue. No need for a car, as you can walk to all of the restaurants and shops. We really enjoyed strolling down 5th avenue. Wal-Mart is also within walking distance. If you should find yourself with to many bags to carry, a taxi ride back to the condo was only $5.00. There is also a beach bar and restaurant next door ( Inti Beach) that has delicious food and great drinks.They will serve you while you are sitting in your beach chairs at Luna. Inti Beach also offers 1 hour massages for an unbelievable price. It was so relaxing to have a massage while hearing the sound of the ocean and feeling the ocean breeze. All of the staff members were very helpful. Edgar was always around to set out the beach chairs and the pool was very well maintained. Aggie in particular was a gem. Anything we needed she was able to help us with. You definitely can't go wrong booking this unit. We are already planning our trip back for next year! Traveled with my husband, 21 yr old daughter, and her boyfriend.

Christmas week was great.

My family (wife, two kids, in-laws, and me) spent the week at Luna A1, a 3 bedroom unit. The location is awesome! It is right on the beach and is only one block to 5th. Santiago took great care of us on beach, delivering drinks and food and always having our beach chairs ready. We would go back in a heartbeat!

Luna Encantada A1 is Perfection

We have stayed at Luna multiple times over the years and have chosen this unit specifically for our last two stays. It is impeccably maintained, beautifully decorated and feels immediately like home when we arrive. The complex is well-maintained and the beach and infinity pool are beautiful. We love this beach front complex in Playa and we love this unit! Everything we need is there. We recommend this unit and can't wait to come back! The owner has done a wonderful job of creating home away from home for their guests -

A STAY IN PARADISE

We had a fabulous time at this beautiful condo A-1 situated only steps from the Beach and a block from 5th avenue. Our unit was immaculately maintained, outstandingly furnished and appointed with all necessary utensils. From sunrises on the patio to sunsets on the beach nothing could be more spectacular. I wouldn’t change a thing about this outstanding unit or location. We will definitely be back.

LUNA ENCANTADO A1

My husband ,myself, and girlfriend stayed in A1 for two weeks from Feb25 to March 11..we had such an amazing time here..Our condo was excellent ..very clean and the wonderful maids would come every 2 day..Alberto is the property manager and would always come down to th beach to see if everything was good. He also arranged for us to have a young couple come in and cook for us one night..This is the second time we have satyed at Luna and we love it. The owner of this condo is very approachable and easy to deal with..this condo is very highly maintained and it is on the ground floor which makes it easier to run back and forth to get food and beverages..
