The negative was the heat was not working and the hot water was ice cold. However they did provide us with space heaters and the 2nd morning the water was warmer

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The proprietors greeted us on our entry and were very nice. Beds were uncomfortable. Stayed 2 nights. 2nd night I slept in the living room chair because the air conditioner worked in the living room but not in the first bedroom. My husband said he felt the springs of the bed in the back bedroom. The kids slept fine.

Clean But Outdated

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were switched to this unit after problems with our first one. This unit was clean or we would have asked for another one. It looks like it was decorated in the 80’s by my grandma and never updated since then. The furniture looks like it was thrown together from Goodwill or FB Marketplace. The bathroom linens looked very old, and only half of the 8 vanity lights worked. The doorknob to the bathroom would come off if we pulled too hard. Again, it was clean but is very outdated and I would not pay that kind of money for that quality of condo if we had a choice. The maintenance man was very nice and helpful.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location is close to the strip which is why we booked it. Our unit needed some maintenance. Bed and couch are basically worn out and should be replaced. After a long drive or full day, the last thing you want is to feel every spring. 2nd bedroom closet was unusable and several outlets loose, ac unit in 2nd bedroom wouldn’t shut off unless unplugged.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed in room 409. The staff are really nice and friendly. However the unit definitely needs some work. First the air conditioner in the front room leaked water in the floor. After the first clean up we didn’t notice it again. The refrigerator/freezer on the other hand leaked about every day. These weren’t that big of a deal some paper towels cleaned it up and was fine. The floor on the other hand needs mopped or needs cleaned very very well at least once. My 10 month old would crawl around and be black from the floor. Every day I was wiping him down multiple times a day but there was nothing there to clean with except a vacuum. Also every room is different but this particular room didn’t have a hair dryer, coffee, or any of that you would have in your normal hotel room so be sure to bring your own. Towels and soap were provided. Sheets and towels all were clean. It was a great vacation just know if you walk into town there will be big hills to walk back up. Nothing was to bad to complain about just letting others know what expectations they should have!

Anniversary weekend

Everything was great and as pictured. Only one thing I seen was the refrigerator was leaking a little but we kept it cleaned up other than that it was a great weekend for the wife and I. We will definitely be back. Thanks again.

Easy Access to the city but not well maintained

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: You can get a good view of mountains and city. But the property looks old, with old furniture. The beds are squeaking all night when we move. The rooms were not clean, one of the bathrooms were not cleaned when we moved in. Garbage trucks makes loud noises in the neighboring properties a couple of times during the night kept us awake.

Clean Condo

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall our stay was good. GCR is centrally located and within walking distance to the strip. The walk back is uphill but not bad. Our condo (409) was very lean and orderly. Management staff was welcoming and friendly. The unit could be improved with newer mattress sets as the beds were very uncomfortable. The coffee pot needs replacing as well. We had to hold the drip arm down as it brewed.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: we were in Gatlingburg to hike Mt Leconte and only needed a room Mon and Wed nights. The manager at Gatlinburg Chateau was very nice to give us the condo on Tuesday night for no extra charge so we didn't have to move out and back in. But that's where the positive experience ended. The 2BR/2Bath unit was very old and unattractive (think 1980s décor that had never changed) Dusty silk flowers everywhere, broken over stuffed chairs and sofa that had springs poking through and frames collapsing. The kitchen was severely understocked with only 2 drinking glasses etc. The beds were flat, the sleeper sofa a disgrace. I tried to get my friends to move to a hotel but they wanted us to be together. I would gladly have paid more for better accommodations. Would not recommend it at all.
