There are portable fans, an indoor & outdoor shower, cable tv/wifi and games to ensure your stay is comfortable and fun.

Step outside and breathe in the fresh sea air. You can play on the lawn, or sun on the patio during the day, then wind down around the fire pit in the evening. The sunsets are breathtaking here! This property includes a BBQ grill, picnic table, corn hole, and beach chairs for your fun & convenience.

"Marstins Mad House" is the name of this home. It was coined by the matriarch of the family who lovingly referred to the fun and chaos that ensued when all her grandkids stayed at the property.

This property is just a short stroll to the harbor and Whale Watch, Mattakeese Waterfront Dining, Fish Market with take out food and ice cream, and less than a mile to Nirvana gourmet coffee shop, the Barnstable Market (prepared food, wine/beer, etc.), post office & library. This is the perfect spot to vacation with everything at your fingertips.

I have stayed at this charming property on the Cape in Barnstable on a number of occasions. To start, it is 75 ft from the bay. This proximity allows for swimming during high tide and walking the picturesque "flats" during low tide. It is walking distance to shops and restaurants in Barnstable. It is also walking distance to a whale watching boat that I promisee will not disappoint. There is an ample breeze that flows through the cottage and you have your choice to shower inside or out with plenty of privacy provided. The eating area is set up next to a beautiful bay window with full view of the water and all it has to offer. You can enjoy the breathtaking sunsets from the comfort of the cottage or have a glass of wine on the immaculate patio right outside the house. The owners provide a number of beach chairs, umbrellas, and gallon games, so no need to pack your own. Finally, the beach is considered private property so it is a quiet setting with only a few friendly neibghbors walking periodically. You will not regret this truly unique Cape experience. - C.Doherty
