Summer Wind on the Beach

PLEASE NOTE, DURING THE HIGH SEASON (MID JUNE TO MID SEPTEMBER) WE ARE SATURDAY TO SATURDAY RENTALS ONLY.

Dine on our deck as you watch the Ocean. Our 2 bedroom 2 bath condo is located on the beach!! We are close to everything, including The Wright Brother's Memorial, shopping, restaurants and entertainment. The Master bedroom has a queen size bed, the second bedroom has two twin beds. The living room has a pull out full size bed. The beach closet is located on the ground level, and loaded with beach toys and chairs for your use. All rentals include bed, bath, and kitchen linens. Please bring your own beach towels. The common area includes charcoal grills, and picnic tables. There is a coin operated laundry room, and luggage lift on site. There are no elevators, and covered parking is limited, but there is plenty of open parking available.

Relaxing in autumn

The property was clean and convenient for us to access the beach and the various locations in OBX. We will stay here again.

Awesome stay close to everything.

My son and his friend stayed for the week. Great location steps from the beach. Close to two large grocery stores, restaurants and activities. Super clean, great kitchen and a little space between you and the kids. One of the best stays we have had in the outter banks and we have been going for almost 10 years.

Very Relaxing!!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and we loved it! The beach is right in your backyard and you can hear the ocean as you wake up. Plus you’re about 5-10 minutes from everything!

Perfect vacation spot

This property is in the perfect spot. It’s close to so many things and view of the beach is awesome. Everything was extremely clean and easy to access. The owners were very communicative and approachable. This was our first trip to OBX and we will definitely use this property if/when we come back!

Great place

We had a great time. Heat pump was not working when we arrived but Tom was easy to get in touch with and he had it fixed asap. Condo was near the beach and we had a great view. I would definitely recommend this place!

Family Beach Vacation

This was a great location for our family. Our 3 and 5 year olds couldn’t spend all day on the beach so it was an easy walk to and from beach, multiple times a day. Beds were very comfy and condo was clean. Toys and puzzles in the closet were great when the boys needed a break from the sun. Owners responded quickly to my questions. Would definitely stay here again!

Great Views

Perfect little spot to be right on the beach in no time. Dolphins swam by several times a day playing. Sunrise and set were gorgeous and the owner was very responsive to all questions.

Wonderful condo

We had a terrible weather week so we were very grateful that the condo was comfortable because we spent a lot of time in it. I had a great experience from the time of booking to check out. It was very clean and comfortable. We used some of the games and puzzles. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here !

Everything was just as stated in the listing. Condo was clean and had everything you could want for a vacation stay. Enjoyed breakfast on the porch every morning watching the waves! Host was very nice and accommodating. Would return!

I would bring towels and washcloths

We definitely could have used more towels we were given one towel and washcloth per person for 7 days .

Such a cozy ocean condo!

My husband and I had a great stay at Summer Wind! The condo was very cozy and was everything we needed. The place was clean and very accurate to the description. We were so appreciative that linens and towels were provided with our rental-- it made it easy for us to arrive and enjoy our stay! We loved that there were games for rainy days (perfect for families). I also loved that the main bedroom has a sliding door to the ocean balcony- you can hear the ocean from your bed! Tom, the host, was very communicative! The condo is located just a walk away to our favorite restaurant (Goombays), and a short drive to grocery stores, souvenir shops, coffee shops, mini golf, and more. We couldn't have asked for a better place to enjoy our anniversary and visit to OBX!

Smelly bathroom

The stench of urine in the en suite bathroom trumps anything positive I could say about this condo. It should not have been rented out in this condition.

Great condo on the beach

The condo was very nice. Great location too. The bed was comfortable, and the kitchen well stocked. Even on bad weather days we appreciated the view right outside the door. The owner was also very good about communication.

Plenty of beach accessories in closet. Great ocean view from the balcony .

A good place to stay on the beach . Plenty of space in condo to move about . Near a few restaurants and couple streets over is grocery stores.

Great stay!

Family was vacationing at OBX and a few of us wanted to start vacation early. This condo was perfect for 3 additional days at the beach. The owners, Tom and Vicki, were very responsive, location was great and accommodations were well represented in description and photos. Kitchen is well stocked with supplies, lots of beach supplies in the closet. I would highly recommend this condo for your OBX getaway.

Comfortable apartment stay steps from the beach

We had a great time at Summer Wind. It was the perfect size for our family of 3 although there's space for 6 if you convert the couch. Check-in was very easy. We were impressed by the size of the kitchen which was great because we prepared simple meals there. It's close proximity to shops/restaurants while being steps from the beach was a bonus. A couple things to keep in mind if you do stay here. (1) The apartment is 2 floors up with no elevator. There is a luggage elevator. (2) There is no food, condiment, seasoning, coffee, tea, etc. provided so if you plan on cooking, make sure you bring every ingredient or plan on buying it. Food Lion and Publix are nearby. Thank you for the wonderful stay Tom and Vicki.

Perfect spot!

The location couldn't have been better! Spent many mornings and evenings on the porch watching the ocean and the beachgoers! Condo was clean and had a kitchen with all your cooking needs, beds were comfy, Tom was a great host and kept us updated on all we needed to know for a great stay!

Location, location, location

This property is in a great location. Great views of the ocean from the porch. Walking distance to our favorite OBX bar Goombays! Definitely order the steamed shrimp if you go.
