Summer Wind on the Beach

PLEASE NOTE, JUNE 20, 2026 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 5 2026 WE ARE SATURDAY TO SATURDAY RENTALS ONLY.

Dine on the front deck as you watch the Ocean. Our 2 bedroom 2 bath condo is located on the beach!! We are close to everything, including The Wright Brother's Memorial, shopping, restaurants and entertainment. The Primary Bedroom has a queen size bed, the second bedroom has two twin beds. The living room has a pull out full size bed. The beach closet is located on the ground level, and loaded with beach toys and chairs for your convenience. All rentals include bed, bath, and kitchen linens. Please bring your own beach towels. The common area includes charcoal grills, and picnic tables. There is a coin operated laundry room, and luggage lift on site. There are no elevators, and covered parking is limited, but there is plenty of open parking available. PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN FRONT OF THE STORAGE CLOSETS, IT MAKES IT DIFFICULT FOR OTHER GUESTS TO ACCESS, AND MAY CAUSE DAMAGE TO YOUR CAR. THE OWNER AND HOA ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE TO YOUR CAR IF YOU PARK IN FRONT OF THE BEACH CLOSETS.

This was a perfect spot for our vacation! The check in process was very simple and made clear by the host! The location is very ideal not only to get on the beach but also to do nearby activities!

Property was great, clean and cozy. Walking distance to the beach with great views for your private deck. Enjoyed my stay very much and Tom was a great host and a responsive communication.

We really enjoyed our stay at Summer Wind. Communication from the owners prior to arrival was clear and made it easy to check in. The house had everything we needed and a really GREAT location. Eventhough the unit is on the side of the building, there is a great view of the beach from the balcony. We were there at the beginning of May so the whole building was very quiet and tranquil.

The location of the property was great, but I was disappointed in the condo. When I opened the door to go in, the musty smell was really strong. There was Damp Rid in each of the rooms but it did not really help. My brother met us at the condo and the first thing he noticed was the musty smell. It was disappointing. It was on my bucket list to stay on the beach and I was really looking forward to this trip. It was nice to stay on the beach but I wish the condo had not smelled musty.

My mother always said if you cannot say something nice don’t say anything at all. 15 emails and texts the first 24 hours. The adult daughter was a wonderful guest but we would not rent to Shelly again.

Host was wonderful, very accommodating. Answered messages immediately, we arrived early and he gave us access earlier than scheduled. Ocean view from balcony was beautiful. In their beach closet we were able to use chairs, wagon, etc. Place was very clean! Kitchen is beautiful with plenty of cabinets and everything you needed. Beds are most comfortable. Living room furniture could be updated. Front door needs new weatherstripping. First night was very windy/cold, you could feel the wind through the door. We had a wonderful time!!

Property was very clean, kitchen very well stocked, we we surprised we only had one dishwasher pod for four days and no dishwashing soap at the sink. Also surprised no hair dryer in the unit.

Very Relaxing!!

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and we loved it! The beach is right in your backyard and you can hear the ocean as you wake up. Plus you’re about 5-10 minutes from everything!

Wonderful time!!

Property is slightly dated, but perfectly functional. We had a wonderful stay. No elevator, but there is a motorized basket to lift heavy luggage so you don't need to carry it upstairs. We are already planning to return in the fall.

Perfect vacation spot

This property is in the perfect spot. It’s close to so many things and view of the beach is awesome. Everything was extremely clean and easy to access. The owners were very communicative and approachable. This was our first trip to OBX and we will definitely use this property if/when we come back!

Great place

We had a great time. Heat pump was not working when we arrived but Tom was easy to get in touch with and he had it fixed asap. Condo was near the beach and we had a great view. I would definitely recommend this place!

Awesome stay close to everything.

My son and his friend stayed for the week. Great location steps from the beach. Close to two large grocery stores, restaurants and activities. Super clean, great kitchen and a little space between you and the kids. One of the best stays we have had in the outter banks and we have been going for almost 10 years.
