Stinson Beach Rental Home -2006, contemporary-style home with modern open floor plan. Expansive ocean views and Mount Tamalpais out your back door. Hear the wave's crash, watch the birds soar, enjoy the colorful sunsets.

Solid built home with attention to details and comfort for the beachcomber. Sunken living room with tile floor, TV/stereo, and ocean views. Gas fireplace, fully-equipped kitchen, and outdoor gas barbecue. Master bedroom with private deck, loft with twin beds, and two full baths. Two sun decks, private patio, and lovely landscaped rear yard. Ample parking.

Just a short walk to town with shopping and galleries, grocery store, restaurants, and library. Minutes to the beach for all-day play and surfing. Breathtaking trailheads with waterfalls out your front door.

Lovely house and great location

This was our second stay at this property. It's a beautiful house with a short walk to the beach. The views and ocean sounds are very peaceful and relaxing.

Stinson beach retreat

Beautifully designed house on the hill, comfortable with fantastic views of ocean and Mt Tam. Close enough to hear the waves and only a 5 min walk to the beach. I have already booked my return trip!

Wonderful stay

Fantastic location. Beautiful views, house is full of natural light. Lovely interiors and garden. Kitchen well-stocked. Host was gracious and helpful in communications. We hope to return!

Great relaxing stay!

Really enjoyed the house and location other than to water ne er getting hot , it was perfect. Living on Maui, this gave us a different vibe of California's, Oceanside Town. Was really fun. The drive was extremely "interesting experience ".

Relaxing

We hung out for 5 days. Great views of the ocean and beach. The walk down to the beach takes 6-7 minutes. The house was peaceful and relaxing. We really enjoyed our time and will come back again.

Cozy By the Seaside

We loved our stay and thought the property was perfect for Stinson. The windows provided amazing views of the ocean and we loved being so close to the beach. The house was clean, cozy, warm, and felt like home away from home. The owner is very attentive and has thought of every detail. We look forward to returning soon!

Epic stay in Stinson

We came out to run the Dipsea and got so much more than we bargained for. The house was fantastic - great location, decks, gardens and views. Nice quiet neighborhood but close to the town and beach and trailheads. Clean and comfortable interior. We look forward to coming back!

Beautiful Beach Home

This home on the hill is absolutely divine! So much thought and care put into every detail. It is charming, well designed, clean, bright, airy and comfortable. Even the back yard landscaping is incredible. There's also a view of the ocean from every window. The location is ideal. A wonderful place to enjoy the magic of Stinson Beach.

Even Better than Expected

This house exceeded my expectations in every way! 25+ years since my last visit to Stinson, and I still love it! The house was amazing - up the hill, great views (and sounds) of the ocean, clean, well furnished, just perfect. Walking distance to beautiful hiking trails, the beach, a great bakery, and several restaurants. We hope to book a stay at the house again next summer.

The perfect beach house

You will not be disappointed with this wonderful VRBO rental. It is well appointment, thoughtfully decorated, and fully equipped for a relaxing stay at Stinson Beach. Ocean view is great, and the beautifully landscaped back yard is very soothing and relaxing. Only note is that there are many uphill stairs to the front door, so If stairs are a problem, you might make a note of this.

Gorgeous beach house

Beautiful, open plan house with amazing views and lovely garden. Our family of four stayed a week and enjoyed every day. Beach is a short walk away, and a hiking trail in the hills starts at the end of the block. Local grocery had all the essentials. Host was communicative, and responsive when we had some internet issues. The only mistake we made was trying to work remotely instead of just enjoying this beautiful spot.

Bright and light jewel above the beach

This house is as bright, clean and lovely as it looks, and Jennifer is a responsive snd gracious host. With open rooms, large windows, and lots of seating areas indoors and out, it feels both spacious and cozy. The kitchen is simple but well-equipped. Town and the beach are a very short walk down the hill. Be prepared to walk up and down plenty of steps from the street to the house.

Absolutely wonderful!

My boyfriend and I had such a relaxing stay here. The house is bright and cheery even on a cold winter day. We walked the beach, loitered at the great little Stinson Beach Bookstore, rode our bikes to Bolinas and just cooked and read and relaxed. Everything in the house is user friendly, clean and sufficient. I loved waking up in the morning to look out the beautiful sliding glass door at the ocean. Every hour or so I would say to my boyfriend "I love this place!". We will certainly come back!

Amazing Vacation

My husband and I stayed here last year and loved it so much that this year we brought our 2 kids. There was plenty of room for us all and we loved waking up to the most wonderful views of the ocean and the mountains. My son and husband walked down to Parkside for breakfast and then picked up items from the market on the way home. The beach was never crowded and just a short walk from the house. The house was clean and had everything we needed. It was such a treat to wake up and turn on the gas fire place that warmed the whole house perfectly. We are planning on making this an annual vacation spot. Thanks to Jennifer, the owner, for being in touch while we were there and offering a perfect place to stay.

Terrific Home Overlooking the Ocean

My husband, adult son and I just spent 2 nights at this beautiful Stinson Beach Home. This was our second stay and I wouldn't stay anywhere else. I love that it is up the hill from town a little, so there are wonderful views of the ocean (rather than being tucked behind a dune). It is just a couple minutes walk down to town and the beach. The home is well appointed with everything one would need. The kitchen is fabulous, we cooked in the whole time and BBQed on the back deck one night. The bedroom has a private deck with fabulous views. The living room also has ocean views, so peaceful. Thanks so much to our hostess Jennifer for making our stay a pleasure.

Light-filled, peaceful, beautifully designed getaway

We had a great weekend at Jennifer's place. She was very responsive and pushed our rental through at the last minute when another place fell through. The house makes great use of its separate spaces, with a lovely common area. It's ideal for those who want to be walking distance from the beach, but prefer the quieter, set-back feel of being a little farther up the hill with Mt. Tam looming. Lots of small flourishes set this house apart (big flat driveway, basketball hoop, safety lighting to ease your entry if you arrive at night, well-stocked kitchen implements). Highly recommend.

I can dig it!

Excellent 5 star property. My only one comment, the upstairs master bedroom windows could use some type of blinds or shutters as if you want to sleep in the Sun pours in and wakes you up and heats up the Room quick at around 6:00 in the morning. After all are'nt vacations for sleeping in . LOL But this is a very beautiful clean property overlooking the ocean, would recommend it to anybody anytime.

Beautiful Ocean View Home

This home has a wonderful sunset view! My favorite spot to relax was sitting on the lower deck overlooking the Pacific, ideal! Located walking distance from the beach, downtown Stinson Beach and trailheads, we didn't need to get in our car all week. We love to cook so were pleased with the well appointed kitchen, gas BBQ and local grocery store. The bedroom is light with windows looking up to Mt. Tam and sliding door out to the upper deck with ocean view. Our 2 boys stayed in the open loft room with twin beds. Amenities include 2 bathrooms, laundry, WiFi, TV/sound system, lovely back yard... We recommend this home to anyone who wants to spend time at Stinson Beach. We will definitely stay here again some day. The owners are friendly and helped to make our stay a pleasure, thanks!

Excellent Stay

The house is "as advertised", with the pictures and owner description spot on. The house was clean and everything worked fine. The decks are awesome, rest of the house is comfortable and spacious enough for 3-5 people. Owner provided a lot of helpful local info and the house rules are reasonable. We used Stinson Beach as a base to go down to SF and the Marin Headlands, up north to Point Reyes, and hiking in Muir Woods to the west. Didn't spend much time in Stinson Beach (other than at the house) but the Sand Dollar is a nice restaurant and the beach is great. Only drawback is there are a lot of stairs, from the driveway to the house and inside the house. As long as no one has major health issues with stairs though not a big deal.

This was our second stay here and it was still exceptional. The place is bright, cheery, tastefully decorated/styled without being pretentious. It had everything we needed (and we cooked a bit). Owner is very responsive. We walked to the beach every day and the views were stunning. Loved being able to hear the ocean from our bed at night. The house made for a super relaxing retreat.

My husband and I purchased the lot in 2005 with excitement beyond belief. We actively started designing around some very strick guidelines and restrictions. In the end I believe we achieved a very nice product with his building skills and my artistic talents. You'll find unusual details throughout the home and my paintings on the walls.

We built our home at Stinson beach in 2005. Stinson Beach was a natural choice and had a long history for our families. My husband and I grew up going to Stinson either after school, with our families for holiday, and then later for family reunions bringing our kids. There is so much to do- walk/run the beach, swim, surf- board or body, sunbath, hike the fabulous trails, kayak the lagoon, relax, and the list goes on.
We feel very fortunate to have found this lot with the ability to build a simple but stylish home that serves many travelers.

The beauty of the beach, the sound of the waves crashing, the intimate neighborhood community, close to town for a stroll to dinner, near the town market, fabulous sunsets. You get the best of both worlds that Stinson has to offer- the beach but also the mountain!! The famed Dipsea Trail, majestic Matt Davis Trail just outside our door. Gorgeous sunsets, collecting shells, flying kites, building sand castles...............
