Small rustic cottage with garden

Charming wooden cottage built in 1914. One of the first houses built on the hill above the town of Stinson Beach. There are two rooms: one bedroom with a queen size bed and an open plan kitchen, dining and living room area. Cozy and lovely with comfortable furniture. Single wall construction (meaning, not insulated ) with good forced air heating and a free standing fireplace in the bedroom.
Perfect for 2 people.

Near the Bolinas Lagoon, a bird watching paradise and site of nesting herons, egrets, and harbor seal pupping site. The area is known for its natuaral beauty. The town of Stinson is very small with a grocery store, a book shop, a surf shop that rents surf boards and wetsuits, a kayak rental business, a few boutiques, a gallery, three resturaunts and a library. Please be aware there are no gas stations for ten miles, so be sure to fill up before coming over the hill.

Theresa's cottage was absolutely lovely. We enjoyed the patio and hot tub and the cottage itself was comfortable, efficient and tastefully decorated. It's tucked into a sweet neighborhood which we enjoyed exploring on foot and also loved that we could walk to the beach. Wonderful stay, thank you, Theresa!

This property is brilliant in every way: gate, garden design, house is uniquely decorated, linens are terrific, it’s quiet, it is a perfect dreamy cottage. Accessibility to town and beach are excellent. Plus a hot tub. Kitchen has everything you need! We can’t wait to return.

Cutest beach bungalow in a quiet neighborhood walking distance to the beach! Such a relaxing and peaceful stay and it had everything we needed. We enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor area with the beautiful landscaping. Definitely recommend!

Super cute old beachy cottage. Great communication from owner. LOVED the space. My favorite was spending the day reading on the bed outside on the deck! And the cat visits were delightful. Loved this place and would stay here again. Thanks Tess.

This was one of the best stays I’ve had. All of the essentials and some really great personality with the artwork. Bed is super comfortable, and the hot tub was already hot and very clean.

The only reason we arent giving it a 10 across the board is because of the age of the property, the small bathroom and small kitchen (no microwave), and there were a few spider webs. The place has alot of charm, and we were quite comfortable despit the shortcomings mentioned above. The host was extremely easy to work with and very communicative. She made the process very easy.

Sorry you were not satisfied. The cottage was built in 1914. This is shared in the discription. It is a small cottage and there is no room for a microwave. The spider webs have been addressed. Thank you for coming.

The cottage exceeded our expectations. The garden is a true paradise with a view of the mountains on the daytime and sparkling stars at night. If you enjoy hiking there are trailheads just steps away. The cottage is pristine and Tess was a lovely host. We hope to return soon!

A welcoming and fascinating little house full of art, some of it by the artist owner and some by friends. The furnishings are all comfortable and textural, interesting, a delight for the eye and all the senses. The garden is, appropriately, wild. It's the end of the blooming season, but all is still beautiful. It's a small garden, two paces in every direction. We appreciated how clean and bright everything was, and how fresh everything smelled -- said by people who have experienced the opposite. We would come back, and may come back. Thanks to Tess!

We loved our stay here! Great location. The hot tub and fireplace were lovely. Host was very accommodating and great communication. Fully stocked kitchen and comfy bed. Also love the art! Would love to stay here again.

Lovely, relaxing retreat where one can enjoy the beauty of Stinson Beach and surrounding area. A tranquil garden to sit and enjoy and a short walk to one of the best beaches in the area. Look forward to staying there again soon.
