Spacious & Private Bay Park Studio Suite

Welcome to our beautiful, spacious, and private studio suite, peacefully tucked into the quiet Bay Park neighborhood of San Diego. Attached to our home but designed with your privacy in mind, your suite has its own entrance through a private patio—your cozy home base for exploring all that San Diego has to offer.

Our home is nestled alongside Tecolote Canyon, a wonderful spot for a peaceful nature walk, bird watching, or mountain biking. You’ll also be conveniently close to Mission Bay, area beaches, SeaWorld, the University of San Diego, downtown, the Convention Center, Petco Park, and the San Diego Trolley—making it easy to enjoy the best of San Diego while returning to a quiet neighborhood at the end of the day.

A few amenities & details:
* Whole-house water filtration system & water softener
* EV charging available for a small fee of $20/use
* We clean almost exclusively with natural cleaning products, including vinegar, Thieves, Borax, and Simple Green
* Driveway parking is available; additional street parking is also available. Please note that full-size trucks are too long for the driveway.

The unit was very clean and nicely decorated with private entrance to the living space. Excellent communication to/from Emily and she always responded very quickly. Would absolutely recommend for couples to stay in San Diego!! Also shout out to Rose Donuts for their maple bacon donuts when in the area!!

A hospitable place to stay in a lovely neighborhood close to hiking trails and the University of San Diego. Our hosts cared for us in every detail. Perfect for one or two with a nice restroom/shower and well-stocked kitchen. We hope to return!

Although I appreciate the nice review, I’m pretty sure this was meant for a different location/booking. For any future guests, we do not have an ocean view. I would hate to disappoint.

Our stay at Auer House was perfectly exceptional! The reality of this lovely home was better than the pictures — & the pictures were inviting. Emily & her family make you feel welcomed immediately. Chocolate chip cookies help. Every amenity was thoughtfully prepared. We will be back! Thank you!

Amazing little spot and perfect for our trip to SD. Host went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Everything you could ask for at the house. AC, TV, WiFi, kitchenette, laundry and an AMAZING shower with lots of water pressure. One of the best places we’ve stayed!

Excellent home around a lots of shopping locations and of travel attractions as well as the beach

Amazing stay and cute house with top of the line amenities. The neighborhood is very quiet and the assigned parking spot was a bonus! The washer and dryer was convenient especially if you are staying longer than a weekend. I will definitely be back on my next trip to San Diego!!

Kris and I met in 2002 training for a marathon. We married in Mexico 3 years later. We have two wonderful high-school aged children who keep life fun, full, and busy. Like you, we love traveling.

Our Studio Suite is private. It is a beautifully converted former garage. We raised the roof, insulated the walls, added plumbing, a kitchenette, new windows (including two operable skylights) and a beautiful all-glass front door. You will be able to park in the driveway and enter the studio through your own gate (shown in listing) and into your own private and secure entrance/front door. There are two solid pocket doors separating you from us. The kitchenette space divides the studio from the main house. On one side of the kitchenette (as seen in photos) you will find all of your kitchen essentials. On the opposite, you will find the laundry room. We too utilize the laundry room, but limit our usage to when you are out enjoying the sights. A portion of the kitchenette/laundry is our pantry space. The pantry cabinets will feel separate from your kitchenette. Please peruse the photos. They capture all of the kitchenette space you will enjoy and you will be able to see the pocket door previously mentioned. We have our own refrigerator in the main house. However, we have some frozen items stored in the kitchenette freezer. We are happy to share. To be clear, the refrigerator in the kitchenette is for your use.

Note: The operable skylight lets in a ton of natural light.
