Our family had a wonderful time visiting the Custer area and Lori and John's camper was the perfect cozy home base. Upon arrival Lori and John welcomed us and showed us the ins and outs of the camper. We loved that it was close to all the local attractions but yet away from the hustle and bustle in a peaceful forest setting. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the area.

August 7th to the 15th 2026.This was a great place if you want peace and quiet. The hot tub was wonderful after a long day of riding. The bathrroom fan remote control was a very cool thing. The hosts were wonderful people and helped out when needed. Thanks so much for a wonderful place. The place was very clean.

We loved our stay, the location and the setting just could not have been better. Jon and Lori are great hosts. We believe Custer is the best of the Black Hills.

We just drove away after spending 4 days here and we will definitely be back in the future! The location could not be beat and it was the perfect place to relax and unwind. It was clean and comfortable and was a perfect fit for our family of 4. Jon and Lori were the sweetest couple. We highly recommend staying here!

It has been years since I stayed in an RV but this one was very comfortable. The hosts are very warm and welcoming. Its located in a quiet area just a few minutes from Custer. We did not have to deal with the crowds and noise of being at one of the mainy campgrounds in the area. Also pretty central in location to all the nearby attractions so it was never a long drive to anywhere. It was wonderful being able to come back and soak in the private hot tub after a long day of hiking in the hills. Would definitely stay here again if we come back to the Black Hills in the future.

Our family absolutely LOVED our stay at Jon and Lori’s camper! It’s about 10 min from the West Entrance to Custer State Park and like 3 min from town to make for great adventures with conveniences. Having the linens, coffee, bathroom and kitchen stuff provided made it a super convenient stay. Our boys enjoyed the hot tub which was clean and well up kept. It was a private, safe location. The host’s house is on the property, which is next to a golf course, and occasionally you could see the random golf cart driving by, but not close enough to feel intrusive. It was so relaxing to enjoy coffee on the porch and sit in the air conditioning and watch TV or use the WiFi when the day was too hot. Jon and Lori walked us through the basics of the camper and we always had plenty of hot water for showers and cooking. Plus a flush toilet! If you’re a couple or small family looking for an awesome stay, stay here. You will love every minute! Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent stay

This was a lovely place to stay that was beautifully maintained with all amenities needed for a relaxing stay. The hosts were incredibly nice and helpful with immediate response to any questions. We enjoyed our week long stay with plenty to do around the area with a wonderfully relaxing time when we returned to the property. We even spent one day just sitting on the deck relaxing and enjoying the view!

A mini vacay

Jon and Lori are wonderful hosts! Location of the property is awesome and spanking in the hot tub after a day of hiking, was the cherry on top of the sundae. I highly recommend this VRBO to anyone looking to have an outstanding experience!

Custer state park

Came for a quick trip thru the black hills, mainly the custer state park. This property was conviently located to all the areas we wanted to go.Everything was spotless and comfortable snd relaxing. The owners are terrific

Quiet retreat with amazing hosts!

This vacation spot was a home away from home. We spent most of the time exploring the state parks, so coming back to such a serene place with caring hosts made a chaotic trip seem simpler.

Outstanding

This was our second stop on vacation and by far it was the best place. Glamping to the extreme, Jon and Lori were the best and the most friendly and helpful people I’ve ever had the pleasure to host me before. We will definitely be back again thank you for sharing your little piece of heaven with us.

Best home away from home!

Awesome Getaway

Jon and Lori are wonderful hosts. They gave excellent recommendations on places to see and dine. The property is peaceful, relaxing and everything we could have asked for. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a fun or relaxing vacation.
