Classic New Orleans "Shotgun" style home. Steps to the Mardi Gras parades and St. Charles streetcar. Enjoy the tree lined streets of uptown New Orleans . Very close to Tulane and Loyola. Lovely 2 bedroom, 2 bath cottage with hardwood floors, original architectural features - lots of NOLA charm!. The home is an entire half of a "double". Walk to Pascal Manale's, Charlie's Steakhouse or Le’s Baguette. French Truck coffee is across the street. Walk to Mardi Gras parades and the St. Charles streetcar. The location can't be beat! Fully appointed kitchen. W/D for guest convenience.

Perfect Uptown Locale

We were here for 12 nights in late January. We loved our location in uptown. The unit is in a great neighborhood. Nice coffee shop across the street and two of the iconic NOLA restaurants are a few steps up the street. We loved how easy it was to park right in front of our unit. Our shotgun unit was super clean and the decor was lovely. Rochelle, our host, had provided all the basic necessities. Right after we arrived, we had to endure the biggest snowstorm in NOLA IN over 100 years. We had concerns about the pipes freezing but kept the faucets dripping per our host’s instructions. We stayed warm and rode it out.

Cool and unique

Place is very well decorated in a New Orleans eclectic style. French Truck coffee across the street and Superior Seafood restaurant a short walk.

Enjoyed our stay!

All five of us enjoyed the house and enjoyed NOLA. Great neighborhood with the coffee shop and Charlie’s steak house. Both were fabulous. Would definitely recommend this location for anyone. Rochelle, the host, responded timely to our questions. It was great!

Beautiful Nola Stay

We had an incredible time staying in this rental. It had everything we needed and even though it is in the city, it’s very quiet at night. The coffee shop across the street was convenient and there was plenty of parking on the street. We loved our stay!

Family getaway

It is a beautiful historic home with many cool features like the pocket doors seperating the livingroom and dining room! Very clean place and right down the street from a couple of cool restaurants

Location was excellent!

Walking distance to street car. Excellent location. Clean and spacious living space. Me and my kids really enjoyed ourselves - it was so much fun. I recommend this area if you don’t want to be near the hustle and bustle of the city. We will definitely stay again.

New England visit

We had a wonderful time, the property was delightful and charming, it was in a great location, which allowed us to walk everywhere and up to Saint Charles to the street car. Easy to get to. Clean and Friendly.

Cute place for our family-2adults and 2 teens.

Enjoyed our stay in New Orleans. The house was great for our family. The shotgun style was new for us. We put the teens in the back room so we wouldn’t have to see their mess and we could leave them undisturbed in the morning. Worked out great. We loved the old architecture-transom windows, high ceilings, wood floors. But also the updates that made it comfortable. Location was nice as we don’t like to stay in the noise and chaos of the city but we were only about 15 min from everything. We also walked down a few blocks to ride the street car on evening. The French truck coffee across the street is a great little coffee shop and so convenient. We also appreciated the hostess accommodating our check in time so we could make a family meet up in the French Quarter on time. Street parking was easy and never an issue. House was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Location

Really enjoyed our stay over Christmas at this clean and slightly creaky NO shotgun with all the basics and no frills. Had to contact the landlord for lockbox key code as VRBO didn't send it. With minimal cost this place could be great!

SO CUTE

This place is seriously so cute with the decor. I spent a long weekend here with my friends and we loved the place. It had everything we needed and we all slept comfortably. There is a coffee shop across the street and nice restaurants are within walking distance. It's also a short drive to Bourbon Street. We would love to stay again!

Comfortable stay

My family and I really enjoyed our stay in this traditional shotgun house. It is nicely restored, and well equipped with modern conveniences, most importantly central air conditioning. It is also located in a friendly neighborhood, a few blocks off St. Charles Avenue, and perfectly situated within the city with easy access to the Garden District, Uptown parks, and museums in Mid-City. Good restaurants and cafes are also within walking distance. The owner was very thoughtful and accessible as well. We would definitely choose to stay here again!

New Home Away from Home in NOLA

Fantastic stay! Love the house & neighborhood. Quiet neighborhood, street parking right in front of the house, and immediately across the street from amazing coffee and café French Truck. Great updated modern bathrooms and very comfortable beds. Perfect for our family of two adults and two elementary school children! Host fantastic, immediately, responsive, very helpful. Will definitely stay again.

Great Space for Families

Overall we had a great experience with this property and with the property manager. We checked in later in the evening on our arrival day. We had a small issue at the time of checkin and contacted Rochelle immediately, and she promptly responded and personally had the situation resolved within 30 minutes. We couldn’t have asked for a better response! The space worked great for our family of 4. Parking is on the street but there are plenty of spots available on that block. We really enjoyed the neighborhood and French Truck Coffee just across the street. The St Charles street car is a quick 3 block walk away and provides convenient access to Canal Street and the French Quarter (note: it does get really busy in the afternoon so be patient). The checkin binder had several good suggestions for neighborhood dining. Checkout was a breeze. Great experience and would suggest this listing for any families or small groups headed to NOLA.
