2 bedroom, 1 Bathroom, pull out sleep sofa in living room, large private dock and float shared with owners of property, gas grill on large deck overlooking dock and water, handicap friendly shower, sleeps 6, full kitchen, coffee maker, blender, toaster etc. bed linens and towels provided. Free moorings in very sheltered harbor. The house is actually only a few feet from the water and NOT where the ''pin"" on the vrbo map shows it but nobody at vrbo could'
correct anything so after 12 attempts I gave up lol

Wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful relaxing stay. The view was beautiful with ducks and geese swimming in the cove. We also saw a crane, an eagle, and one night we saw 3 deer. The owners were friendly and helpful with any questions we had. There were homemade blueberry muffins when we arrived which were delicious! We are hoping to return in the spring.

Perfect spot for us

This place reminded me of my youth because the age of the house and the decor was complementary to my period. My son and I do this trip every year and we are so happy we found this place. The owners are perfect hosts and like-minded people that I enjoyed so much.

beautiful dock

Best part of this place is the dock where you can sit and watch the tide come in and go out. When it's out you see all kinds of birds (including one very elegant egret.). When it's in you can swim and kayak.

Loviest stay ever!

The house is exactly what you see in the pictures and more! We had a wonderfull stay and hope to return one day. The view is incredible and the house was amazingly cool for the warm time of year. We were very comfortable. Martin and Becky are the most friendly and lovely hosts we have ever encountered. They were just amazing. And Becky's muffins are delicious! We had an amazing time.

Boothbay getaway

Nice and quiet location but only 10-15 minute ride to downtown and local area attractions.

Cozy quiet retreat

As regular visitors to the Boothbay region, we enjoyed the comforts of Martin's cottage. Nestled directly on a picturesque saltwater cove, the cottage was very clean and well appointed. The large deck overlooking the cove was the highlight of our trip. It is a very quiet location with a lot of privacy. With just a short drive to downtown Boothbay Harbor, the cottage is in a very convenient location. Not to mention how close it is to Grimes Cove in Ocean Point, and also an easy walk to the bold ocean further up on King Phillips Trail. Hope to stay there again!

Peaceful retreat

There were several of us that gathered for a sibling reunion. There were even fresh blueberry muffins for us when we arrived! The deck and views were gorgeous! It was private, and had easy access to sights and restaurants/shoppers. We used the kayaks one morning for a relaxing spin around the bay. It wasn't the newest place, but would definitely recommend!

Lovely waterfront Maine cottage

We are returning guests!! Such a lovely place and wonderful, friendly owners. Set on a quiet cove with direct water access, my kids loved being out on the water every day with the kayaks provided. Perfect Maine experience.

watch the tide

what a gorgeous spot. Martin and Becky are lovely hosts. Fresh flowers and blueberry muffins met us on arrival. The place is sweet. THe dock and kayaks a plus for us. Watching the tide, listening to birds, fabulous. and close to groceries, the botanical gardens and lots more.

Perfectly Peaceful

My husband and I with our adult daughter had such a peaceful, restful and fun stay in Martin and Becky’s cottage in East Boothbay! The home sits on a grassy rise and looks out over the water of Compass Cove. You can sit and read or relax with coffee on the walkway down to the dock. We got to see so many birds, including a Bald Eagle and several Great Blue Herons. We had meals on the deck’s table w/umbrella. The house is furnished beautifully and comfortably with some ocean themed decor. Kitchen was fully equipped for cooking and baking. Beds were very comfy! Two separate bedrooms separated by the central living area with WiFi and TV/cable and plenty of seating. Becky even had home baked muffins for us on arrival! We loved both Becky and Martin and would definitely stay with them again! They are warm and friendly hosts!

Peaceful setting, protected cove

Wonderful quiet location with access to row boat to paddle around clam Little River. The host and hostess very accommodating. Even had freshly baked muffins waiting upon arrival! Would definitely book again.

We recommend this property 100 percent.

The home was clean, comfortable and artfully decorated. Large windows overlooking the water added to the serenity of the cabin on the cove yet there is plenty of activity nearby: kayaking, hiking, botanical gardens, Boothbay RR village and a 15 minute drive to the Oyster farm in Edgecomb. We had a wonderful time!

Charming Maine Cottage on the Water

My kids and I had a wonderful time renting this property from Martin and Becky. Was an adorable place and perfect for us. The property is well located and had everything we needed. The owners were incredibly nice and we are so grateful to have met them.

At home on the lake.

We had the most wonderful week in this waterside cabin. The design of the property lent us the nostalgia of East Boothbay, with all the modern amenities one could need. From canoes to kayaks to campfire to a decks over the water. All needs of a family were present in this beautiful home that was still full of love from the prior resident! The property owners were simply the best part of our stay. They quickly became people we loved to be around and hang with! Full of Boothbay knowledge, and made it feel even more like home than our prior trips. Our family can’t wait to return to our new favorite spot in the woods in the quiet, beautiful cove on the water. Highly recommend.
