Music makers' cottage

Welcome to the Music Maker. All the charm and lots of comfort, plus outdoor furniture too! This cute, comfortable cottage is located on Coast Guard Point (f/k/a Canal Street), the peninsula that forms the northwestern edge of breath taking Grand Marais Harbor. Take a stroll right out the back door to Agate Beach which is a short walk across the small sandy dunes. Cool off in the crisp clear waters of Lake Superior. Later walk or ride your bikes into town for dinner, ice cream or a little shopping. Then head back to your beach retreat and take in one of our famous Lake Superior Sunsets. Verizon phone service is recommended if you want to use data in the area, but the Cottage is now equipped with WiFi.

So pack your summer gear (Don't forget the sun screen!) and head for a relaxing stay at the Music Makers Cottage in beautiful Grand Marais. This cottage is not a winter rental...sorry. Spring, Summer and Fall only.

Perfect location for exploring Pictured Rocks. The cottage is very cozy--we loved sitting around the gas stove in the evenings. We enjoyed the convenience of easy access to restaurants, coffee shop, and the market in walking distance.

Welcome to Nana’s house!Music Makers Cottage is just like visiting your Nana if she lived on a stunning beach with spectacular scenery and knew exactly what you needed to unwind. We loved it.The cottage is clean, cozy, compact and reminiscent of visiting your Nana: think cozy furniture, comfy beds, anything you could ever need in the kitchen, gazillions of fresh clean towels and retro furniture and artwork. Also, tons of board games, DVDs, puzzles, books and a TV/DVD player for rainy days. 15 minutes from Pictured Rocks Nat’l Seashore. What more could you want?Also, like your Nana, Susan, the host, will take care of you and make sure there is info for every appliance, every utility and also include a landline phone in case of emergencies! Susan will make everything easy and hassle free! Fully equipped with full kitchen- toaster, toaster oven, microwave and full gas stove/oven. Brand new coffee maker and enough dishes and silverware for all. Five min from the local grocery, diner, and coffee shop. Washer dryer combo made life a breeze. A wonderful gas fireplace kept us toasty. At night get ready for MAJOR stargazing. We brought our telescope and captured multiple planets, galaxies and stars. The stars are visible without a telescope and the Milky Way put on a show nightly. Loved our stay at Music Maker’s Cottage. You will too.

Perfect cottage

We had a great stay! Perfect size for the 4 of us, cozy, lots of amenities and things for the kids to do, perfect little area and lots of privacy. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others!

The Music Maker Cabin

Cozy cabin in a lovely location. I am a repeat visitor and always want to return. The cabin is clean and has everything you need for a week’s vacation and is within walking distance from town.
