Quiet Seclusion at a Working Ranch!

If you're looking for a quiet getaway offering a more unique experience, the HD Ranch guest house is the place for you. This extremely charming 1200 square foot vacation rental home sits at the end of a mile-long driveway that cuts through 100 acres of pasture land. The guest house features a tastefully decorated master bedroom, living room, library and kitchen with a loft containing two additional beds and sitting area with tv and DVD player. Outside you have a porch and two decks to enjoy the views

Watch deer and horses grazing in a nearby pastures. Take a lovely walk around the ranch or simply kick back and enjoy the serenity. After unwinding, take advantage of some of the country's best mountain biking and hiking trails, white water rafting, fishing or one of Durango's exceptional dining experiences. Also great as a hunting base.
Also in the winter we have fantastic cross county skiing on the property or very close in the mountains, snow shoeing, dog sledding and skiing...

We LOVED our stay at HD Ranch! Frances went out of her way to make our stay a memorable experience for our son. The cabin is the perfect size and getting visits from the pups each day was one of the highlights of our entire trip! We will definitely be back!

I would recommend this place 110%. The host was very friendly. It was a very clean well kept up property and very secluded and beautiful view. Very relaxing.And the wonderful hound dogs that came to visit you was the highlight of my vacation.

Great secluded place in a country and very quiet. Not far from Durango. The sky’s are great for star gazing at night. The hounds are definitely friendly.

This house is a dream! It was exactly what I was looking for! Sadly the weather did not cooperate but that didn’t stop me from having coffee on the covered porch. The house was immaculate! And there are three adorable hounds that came to visit us! The highlight of our morning.

Our stay at HD ranch could not have been better. A very secluded ranch, but not very far from the town of Durango. The house was clean and the surroundings exceptionally beautiful. Our stay far exceeded our expectations and we would highly recommend it to other traveler.

Truly heaven on earth! France’s property is a slice of paradise. Exactly as described and shown in pictures, it’s now our Durango home away from home! 100 acres of Peace, tranquility and blood hound puppies to adore! Paradise! Beautiful 360 degree views on this working horse ranch. Peaceful, relaxing and comfortable stay in the bunkhouse. Francie is a gracious host and communicates well. The horses are lovely and well taken care of. We fed the horses carrots and the dogs biscuits…so fun! We had the best time making memories!

Durango Dream

The Ranch is a perfect, quiet location. Located near Durango, we were able to venture out to the Mesa Verde and Silverton. I would definitely recommend a stay there.

Quiet Seclusion

This was our jumping off point for Mesa Verde National Park. It's a short drive to Durango and about 45 minutes to Mesa Verde.

It’s really a perfect location. Durango is just a short drive away, but it’s also very private and very quiet. Francie, the hounds and the horses are all great. It simply doesn’t get any better.

We LOVED our stay at the ranch! Frances was so welcoming and let my daughter and I watch her do training with the horses. My daughter got to wander the ranch and greet horses. So peaceful and beautiful!

We appreciate you for sharing your little slice of heaven with us! We spent all of our time sitting outside watching mama bird feed her brand new babies in the nest across from the front door, loving on the dogs, and watching the horse play out front. We had such a great time, thank you again!

Very nice Cabin and beautiful horse ranch. Disappointed in the queen size bed that really needs a new mattress. Very uncomfortable. Also, the couch is really worn out and not very comfortable. Clean, nice small kitchen and able to get out on the Ranch

I am an avid hiker and also breed Black and Tan Coonhounds who love to share their love for the many guests that come and visit. I thank every guest who comes and visits and have met so many wonderful people! I am so ever grateful.

If you want a very unusual getaway and enjoy the beauty of this area with 360 degrees views of the mountains and mesas plus view much wildlife and of course the beautiful horses eating in pastures.

Everyone has told me that the guest house is much better than the pictures. You have your own deck to view the wildlife and two decks to watch the stars. Inside it is warm and inviting to relax. Everyone says they have never relaxed more than when they are here. Many enjoy walking the ranch and enjoying the views and horses.
