From this window you will be looking down about 100 ft to the creek below and at all the amazing rock formations on the opposing bank. Or take your yoga mat on the deck and do warrior pose as the sun wakes the day. At night light a fire on the deck and listen to the night sounds as you watch the stars come out. Take a soak in the Asian tub inside the house and open the windows and listen to the falls as you let the weight of the world fade away. Everyone who comes will understand how special this place is. Around the area you will find yourself 3 miles from the New River and Blue Ridge Parkway. You are about 45 minutes from some of the best hiking the state has to offer at Grayson Highlands State park where you can connect to the Appalachian Trail. The New River Trail you can pick up as you enter Galax 20 min from cabin. This will connect you with miles of walking trail. West Jefferson NC is a 50 min drive and you can spend all day walking quaint shops and wonderful eateries.
