Blue Heron Cottage - Anna Maria Island

Great 1 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom cottage on the quiet north end of island. The house is conveniently located and within walking distance (two short blocks) to the beach and close to the intersection of Fern Street/Alamanda Road. This great getaway sleeps up to 4.

The cottage has an open floor plan and it is about 900 sq ft. There is a bedroom with 1/2 bath inside and a laundry room. There is a full bath out of the bedroom which makes it very comfortable when there are more than 2 guests with. The living room has a sofa, which also becomes a comfortable queen bed. It is not the kind where the mattress is folded when in use as a sofa. My favorite spot of the house is the private outdoor shower with hot and cold water. The side door leads to the patio where you will find an outdoor dining area complete with oversized umbrella, a high-top table, outdoor shower, and electric grill. You will also find a beach cart to transport beach essentials to and from the beach.

The house is located on the very desirable quiet north end of the island. Specifically 2 short blocks from the very end. It is very peaceful and beautiful around this quite area with very low traffic, if any at all. You can easily travel across the island on the free trolley, which has many stops throughout the island. There are also many places who offer bikes and golf carts for rent. There are many restaurants, small shops and a Publix supermarket all with in 10 min max driving and reachable by bikes and golf carts. You can take a very short easy walk to the famous Rod and Reel pier/restaurant.
