Morning Star –

'Morning Star' is one of the most exceptional homes within Old Florida Beach! This three story home encompasses the authentic feeling of beach living at its best. With six bedrooms and five and one half bathrooms, it is sure to accommodate all your company. This home is directly across a small neighborhood road from deeded beach access. There is an empty sea oat covered lot across the way giving you unobstructed views! Because 'Morning Star' is so spacious AND features its own PRIVATE HEATED POOL (extra charge for heating), this is a fabulous house for entertaining. Once you have stayed at 'Morning Star' you will want to return again and again!

(THE BEACH IS APPROXIMATELY 25 YARDS AWAY), you will love its location!

First Floor: King Bedroom with Walk-In Shower, King Bedroom with Walk-In Shower, Bedroom with Two Full Beds and Tub/Shower Combo, Bunk Room with Two Twin Bunks, Bedroom with Twin Day Bed and Twin Trundle, Hall Bath with Walk-In Shower, Laundry Room.

Second Floor: Living Room with Balcony Access, Kitchen, Dining, Wet Bar, Powder Room.

Third Floor: King Master Bedroom with Walk-In Shower and Soaking Tub + Balcony Access, Bonus Den.

*add $50.00 per day to heat pool (available Oct-April if needed)

*Based on the daily temperature and at the HOA's discretion, the community pool is typically heated during the fall and holiday weeks.

*The use of golf carts are prohibited in the Old Florida Beach community.

*This property is monitored by a security camera located at the front door.

Great Family Vacation!

Only a small residential street separates the house from beach boardwalk. So close to beach we didn’t even need to pack a beach bag. Amazing views from almost every room. Good size private heated pool was great for our family of 7. Some furniture updates needed but house was neat and clean with plenty of room. We loved it!!

Annual family beach vacay

The location was amazing, great beach, and great restaurants and shops within walking distance. The house could definitely use some TLC. SO much clutter, and the carpets really need to be either taken out or cleaned. But other than that everything was great.

Poor maintained -great location property

Our first impression of the house when we first came in was not the best; there was a smell like old house like if the house was closed for months, the fridge and microwave were dirty, showers with mold, broken glass at the back porch, pool area dirty with damaged cushions, 1 toilet leaking and the list can continue... We reported all to the property management but the communication was not simple, we had to follow up with them instead them looking into our case with a personalized attention; we had to wait 2 days for the toilet to be fixed and poor communication back from them on resolutions. Definitely a nice property with great location, steps away from the beach but seems needs lots of maintenance; we felt the condition of the property vs what we paid was not equivalent. Hope the owner fixes it and the property management team steps up to recoup this beautiful property.

Great Weekend Trip

The location of Morning Star could not have been more perfect! You can sit on the porch and see and hear the gulf. The interior was clean and had all the amities you would want for a beach trip!

Morningstar vacation

The overall experience was okay. Living room furniture needs cleaning as does floors. Some hardware on doors need repair, lock broken, handle missing and fireplace screen missing. Showers need cleaning. Kitchen cabinet doors dirty with food. Dirt below furniture in bedrooms. We would stay at this property again if listed problems are fixed. The location and pool on property made the stay worthwhile, but I again would only come back if issues are resolved. We did have issues with internet and washer, but these issues were resolved quickly by Ocean Reef service personnel. We do recommend Ocean Reef for their good service

Morning Star

Wonderful week overall. Checked in to find the floors not well cleaned. Disappointed, I called Ocean Reef and received the most professional response focused on making things right. Within the hour a very conscientious representative arrived to make things right. Highly recommend the property, Morning Star, and as much the realty company, Ocean Reef.

Wonderful place!

The house fit all 12 of us comfortably. We really enjoyed the very short walk to the beach and the neighborhood. There were a couple things that needed attention while we were there (door latch and window leak) and they came the next day to fix it. You can walk to get ice cream and rent a bike just down the street! It’s a really cute house and we would stay here again!

Beautiful!

We have been here several times in years past. Since our last visit it has been significantly upgraded with extra bedrooms and pergola addition to the pool. This is a great place for a large group who wants to enjoy family, beach, and pool time. We had a couple maintenance issues but they weee promptly handled.

House needs some TLC

House needs some TLC, paint & deep cleaning. Chairs by Pool were rotted & mildewed. When we got there several light bulbs were out. DVD player in living room didn’t work, and we saw 2 roaches. That kind of grossed us all out. Had a wonderful time, but house just needs some work.

WAY BEYOND OUR EXPECTATIONS

This property was amazing!! We had 15 in our group. 6 adults and 9 big teenage kids. We had plenty of room and never felt like we were all on top of each other in the space. The beach access was directly across the street from the house. It was easy to go back and forth as much as we wanted to during the day. There were beach rentals right on the beach for beach chairs and umbrellas. Worth the money to have those set up for you every morning so you don't have to worry about it. Just walk down and enjoy! The beach was immaculant. Soft white sand and clear blue/green warm water. If you are considering going to this area of Florida Santa Rosa beach is the PERFECT location. Destin is TOO busy and touristy. Fun to go to but not to stay in. The other direction offered some super cute beach towns. Watercolor and Seaside were quaint little towns that we rode our cruiser bikes to along a path. It's a bit of a ride, but a great way to see the area. Buddy's is a DELICIOUS ice cream shop that is a short walk away from the house as well. You can't go wrong if you stay here!! Can't wai to go back!!

Great House and Beach

The house was a great family vacation home. The only issue we had was the constant construction and lawn maintenance in the neighborhood. Every day was very noisy outside. Not relaxing by the pool as we would have liked. I know that is something that is unpredictable. The pool and the house were fabulous. Ocean Reef responded quickly to any requests we had for minor repairs needed during the stay. I would recommend them and the area! We were to have 15 people and ended up with only 10, but still a great vacation.

A good house and great location

After a couple of days of some issues and a lot of effort by Ocean Reef things settled down, although fixing the shower leak will be a big project. The layout of the house is very good and views outstanding.House could use some updating and sprucing up. Overall a good week.

Incredible spacious house, great access to the beach!

After the initial issues with the gate code to the housing community upon arrival, the rental company was very accommodating. The app was helpful for finding all the details on our stay. The house was very spacious and the beach access was ideal. You definitely need a car if you are staying here though we also used Uber to get to the towns which are about a 20 minute drive. The beds were very comfortable and while the knives were all very dull the kitchen was very well stocked. I would definitely recommend this house and would rent again. We really enjoyed our stay and appreciated the attention we got from the management company when they addressed our needs and concerns. You have to bring your own beach towels, but they made that clear to us. The beaches are gorgeous and the porches and pool setup are ideal!

Morning Star Review Oct 2016

Loved pool and location. House needs maintenance. Porch balcony was so bad a child could have gone right through it. (They did come fix) Lot of small problems like door knobs falling off. Cabinet knobs missing. Door locks need replaced. Fan on porch sounds like it is dying. Etc. Due to location and pool would probably stay again. However, I hope they do some serious work to make the house safer and more appealing.
