We had a wonderful time. Even when we had a little problem (our 5yo son locked a bedroom door and we couldn’t get in), maintenance came and fixed it right away. We went outside to swim and the door was open by the time we got back to the house. Very helpful. Excellent service. Already planning our next trip. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Tranquility Base in Gulf Shores! The property was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. It had everything we needed to relax and enjoy our vacation, and the location was perfect, with easy access to the beach, restaurants, and local attractions.The home was well-equipped, making it easy to settle in and feel at home. The peaceful atmosphere truly lived up to the name “Tranquility Base.”We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Tranquility Base to anyone looking for a relaxing, comfortable getaway in Gulf Shores!

The location and amenities of the house was perfect for what we were looking for. On the beach, quiet, minimal street and beach traffic. Major issue we had was the HAVC and the check in process. Upon arrival @ 345 pm a plumber was present and they were still cleaning. The plumber was fixing damage the HAVC guy did when fixing the AC unit. I was told multiple times via messages and on VRBO no early check-ins however our house was not ready @4. Which was frustrating. Then the cleaning lady was rude to myself and my sister. She stated the owner was aware cleaning was running behind due to the maintenance workers. However we were never notified of this. We had multiple issues with the HAVC beginning and end of week. It was resolved with space AC units but the house with not cool throughout. The house could use some minor upkeep but we made the most of it and enjoyed our week.

Great location on beach!

Our group included myself, my husband and two of our adult children. We really enjoyed the beach. It was never crowded., and we had perfect weather.

Great property, great location

We had a wonderful time. Couldn't ask for a better location. Very private area, we had the beach pretty much for ourselves. Great fishing spot, I caught a lots of pompanos. Definitely recomend it

Perfect Beach Vacation Spot

First trip to Gulf Shores and house was exactly what we were looking for. Right on the ocean, but away from the busy parts of town. We just had four of us there, but it easily could have supported another family of four to share the cost if needed. We will be back in the future.

Less crowded part of the beach which I loved. You are near the end of the road. About 1/4 mile down starts the Bon Secour Ntl Wildlife Refuge where there are no houses. I highly recommend taking that hike. The house was VERY clean and kept up. I've stayed at a diff house from a diff real estate company that had things literally falling out of the ceiling and the pipes busted but not this one. My only complaint is the chairs on the deck are so low you can't really see over the guard rails. There's an empty lot on 1 side then the other side is a nice house (but nobody was there). Also recommend ebikes on Gulf Shores State Park and walk the pier to see some animals in the water. Fort Morgan is interesting for history buffs. The pier at Ft Morgan lets you see dolphins swimming around it (that was cool). One kept trying to flip a pelican with it's tail! Big Mikes has the best steak around (wish they would open one up in Georgia). I would definitely rent this house again. Keeping it in my favorites! It was only 2 of us but this house had plenty of beds and room for 4 or 6 more people.

Great property!

Our family of 8 had a wonderful time! The location was perfect, right on the beach! The deck was amazing, the view of the ocean and sound of the waves was therapeutic! Caught red fish right across the street in the lagoon and caught a huge sting ray in the surf. We will be back!

Location, location, location!

Our family just stayed at Tranquility Base for a week. The location is perfect with very few people on the beach, making it a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The communication was excellent, the house was well stocked with dishes and cookware, games for the family, and an excellent view of the ocean. They are also dog friendly, so even our fur babies had a blast. We will be back.

Beautiful

This home and location is awesome- it is close enough to town to be convenient but its location also makes you feel as if you are the only person on your private beach. The beachfront is massive and beautiful. The home is exactly as described, clean and well apportioned with a fantastic new deck. The only hesitancy I have in recommending is you might book the week I want to come back which will be soon

VRBO experience

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The location was excellent for being away from the crowd and having access to the beach and view. Easy direct route to shopping and restaurants. House was very spacious. All enjoyed our stay. The cleaning could be better including the furnature and rugs. Horrible fish smell in the refrigerator/freezer. We had to buy several boxes of baking soda to help remove the smell. Water faucets in the showers were hard to control temperature. The yard had a lot of trash that needed to be cleaned up. Good experience and would rent again.

Great location but maintenance issues.

Great secluded location. Beautiful beach. House was okay. First night our van got stuck in a sand pit in the driveway and had to be towed out. The dishwasher and outside shower were broken. Called the property management about the issues. The shower wasn’t fixed during our stay. Someone came out to fix the dishwasher but needed to order a part. It was not fixed during our stay. Lots of dog hair on the carpet. Also found 2 ticks. Deck furniture was in poor condition and no table. We had a great time though.

Tranquility base review

Nice place to escape to the beach. Property was perfect for a week getaway. There was a couple minor flaws, vinyl flooring was coming apart and subfloor has some soft spots. The air conditioning filters need replaced and vents need cleaning. Would be nice to have a gas grill instead of an old charcoal grill that needed cleaning before use. Also charcoal doesn't work in high humidity very well. There was an exterior light hanging by one wire. Other wise had a great week and almost private beach a few days due to being a few miles away from the "city/shopping/restaurant area". The exterior was well maintained and check-in / check-out was simple texts. We would recommend after new flooring and a bit of AC maintenance inside. Overall great week getaway.

Our 2023 Family Vacation

We really look forward to our family getaway each year. This property was in a great location for us as we like the off the path and less people to have to deal with. Perfect. Our travel plans changed and we wanted to check in 1 hour early and was told we could not. Very disappointing since there was no one at the property the night before and no cleaning crew was there at all as we sat outside from 3pm till 3:55pm waiting for the door to unlock. I emailed trying to get is a little early but was told NO. Not sure why since it was only 1 hour. The property does have some issues. It seemed to be clean however we always clean anything that we stay at before unpacking. We did notice that holes in the walls had been repaired but not repainted over. Make it look bad. The inside could use a fresh coat of paint. The outside also. Front entry door is very stained and dirty. There is some rot and mold in the window trim wood, take a look in the master bedroom. Missing fire detector we did find it on top o the refrigerator. The back deck is a safety hazard. Nails are above the wood causing a tripping hazard. Boards are very old, worn, wrapped and are uneven. It appears they someone laid boards on top of boards that were already there. The steps leading down from the top level to the middle level on the left side are cracked and give way to anyone stepping on them. A very heavy person may break thru. No one should walk on the back deck without shoes on. Luckily we did not

Quiet location near the end of the road. Short jaunt into town for food, activities and shopping.

Great place to create memories. Sea life that came a shore were amazing sights, the location was private, a little piece of heaven. Looking forward to returning.
