We did not expect fancy with the lower price we payed but when we arrived, it had an old screen door that was dirty and had cob webs around it. The main door was also dirty and paint scratched up. It was a bit outdated but not terrible. In the bathroom whoever was there before had left a wash cloth, shampoo and some hair behind as well as several broken rubber bands on the table and floor of the bedroom so that made me question how clean the unit really was. The location was perfect for accessing the beach within walking distance and nothing was too far so it was very convenient.

Room not cleaned

Room was missed by the cleaning crew. Room decor was very outdated -- but the room functioned OK. Shower head was not even secure in wall. laundry room had a door hanging off showing utility area with plumbing and wires. WOULD NOT use 118 again at Forest Beach -- other units much more updated.

A little less than expected

We knew things would not be very updated due to photos but we liked the price and availability. Some trash left from previous renters, a panel in the wash room was completely off, some dirty dishes, fridge leaked inside and it stated “beach access”. We assumed that meant “direct access from property to beach”. Not the case. Have to walk 100 yards down street, cross the street and walk through another property.

Really great location

The location was fantastic. It’s walking distance to anywhere you’d want to go-Coligny Beach, shopping, restaurants, and a really great kids playground. The apartment was clean and smelled clean. The sleeper sofa mattress is very wavy, lots of lumps and bumps. We managed by putting some of the sofa pillows in the low spots to help even out the mattress. We ate in 2 of the nights and the kitchen was fully equipped to prepare meals. There was a salt and pepper shaker. No coffee filters for the coffeemaker which I left the pack I bought. I’d recommend bringing bottled water, the city water reminds me of Disney World water. My children loved watching the turtles from the bridge over the retention pond, the pool and the elevator. We really enjoyed our first family beach trip.

Great location, tired condo

I chose this condo because of the location. We’ve been to Hilton Head many times, and rented many units. This unit has location, but that is the appeal.

Nothing like the pictures

The only 2 positive things I have to say about our stay are the location is great and the bed was comfortable. When we arrived there were no towels. We called and they told us that we would have to wait until the next day for bath towels, but quickly remedied that after some push back. The walls had dust on them, the air vents were rusted and dirty, the screen door was off the track and inoperable, and the sliding glass door pole lock in the bedroom was broken and just sitting next to the window. The carpets are in desperate need of an upgrade and and the couches were stained. Finally the air conditioning was so bad that we had to sleep with stroller fans blowing on us at night. The thing that left the worst taste in our mouth was we called and spoke to the someone on the emergency after hours line and texted with someone at the office and both people told us that someone from guest services would call us the next day to address our concerns and we never heard from anyone.

very old

Everything is very old and needs to replaced. A major makeover is needed for this place for the amount of money you are spending. The mattress in both places were pretty much collapsed. The positive thing about this place is that check in is very simple and easy.

Spacious one bedroom villa

Unit was sparkling clean. It seemed much more spacious than the pictures indicated. We hosted a dinner party for 6 and could easily cook for and accommodate our guests.

Spacious one-bedroom villa

Plenty of room for a couple. We had a dinner party for 4 more guests and the kitchen and dining area was ample enough to cook and serve 6. King mattress felt firm and new. Unit was sparkling clean.

Good location, OK condo

This condo could be very nice but it was dusty. The appointments need to be updated. The complex is great and close to the beach and shopping. There is elevator access. I would stay in this complex again but not this unit.

The location is great. Across the street from Coligny and everything it offers, pretty much everything you need within a short walk or bike ride. Parking is extremely limited for bigger vehicles. We took a taller truck and almost got stuck in the underground parking garage because the ceiling is just too low. Also, some spots are reserved for residents, but they aren't marked very well. This should be communicated better.
