This is a good rental home to consider if you’re planning to ( or needing to ) stay inside. There are many flooring transitions that contain differences in elevation, which could be a trip hazard for kids. We found plenty of room and privacy for 2 couples. Two separate living rooms with TV’s, a well equipped kitchen, and an excellent screened porch on the back of the house with plenty of seating. It rained extensively during our 4-day stay, so we only ventured out for part of one day. We two couples made all but one of our meals at the house and played board games on the back porch, even during a heavy rain. Except for the bedrooms’ side of the house, there is plenty of privacy from the closely located next door neighbors. We never heard or saw them during our visit. NOTE: The one thing you may hear lots of during a stay at this property is private jet and turboprop aircraft taking off and landing at the regional air strip right behind the house. We certainly did. There are PLENTY of luxury bath towels and more than enough beach towels for a multi-day stay at this home. Additionally, there is a laundry room with a countertop. The house is conveniently located near the Pier Village, Tree Spirits, and the Lighthouse and WW2 Homefront Museum. Fort Frederica, East Beach, and several natural areas with hiking trails are less than 20 minutes away. There are plenty of good restaurants very close by too. I’d recommend this home for a comfortable stay on St. Simon’s Island.
