This updated home will please your group during your next getaway to the Oregon Coast. It sits on Lake Lytle, offering incredible water views, and is a short walk over to the beach. This home stands out above the rest, featuring stainless steel appliances, board games, books, and large TVs. It even includes a pool table as an additional entertainment option.

Downtown Rockaway Beach is just a mile to the south, where you will find several dining options, grocery stores, antiques, and fun gift shops. Catch the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad in Rockaway Beach and take a trip down to the small fishing village of Garibaldi and visit the marina for some fresh seafood.

THINGS TO KNOW

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles.

Security camera details: There are four security cameras installed at this home: one in the garage pointed at Lake Lyttle, one in a tree pointed at the front deck, one in the backyard tree pointed toward the back deck, and one in a tree pointed at the driveway. They do not record sound and are turned off when guests are in the home.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

Perfect for family vacation

This is the 4th time that our family has stayed at Casa De Colina and it’s the highlight of our year every time. The house is lovely and so relaxing to hang out inside or you can go kayaking on the lake that is right across the street. And a 5 minute walk gets you to the beach. Can’t ask for more! Looking forward to next year’s stay!

Great House-Intrusive Neighbor

The house is great. My elderly uncle showed up with he and his girlfriend’s little dog. We told him no pets were allowed but he either forgot or thought he could sneak the little dog in. While me and his daughter were trying to work out a plan for this dog of his, the neighbor starts in on us about this dog, claiming he is the owner of the property. Mind you, they had just arrived and not been in the front yard with this dog for more than a few minutes. Apparently he’s not actually the owner but rather just the neighbor. The neighbor, an older man, is pacing through his house watching us through the windows and calling (maybe the owner? The police? PETA?!?) on his phone. This neighbor was very worked up about this and keeping tabs on all our activities while we were sorting this out. I actually ended up calling VACASA who sent a representative over to talk to him. We ended up getting a hotel for them that was right down the road. I was also not a fan of a camera facing the front of the house. The entire front of the house is a window and all the common areas are visible with this camera. Look, it’s a nice house. If you don’t mind an intrusive neighbor and being recorded the whole time, skip my review. I have stayed at a lot of places and I hated the vibe here.

Great house, intrusive neighbor plus lots of cameras.

The good: the house was as described, perfectly clean and excellent. The downside is one, there is a camera secured in the tree that films the front porch, living area and the kitchen. These are all the common areas of the house. Our family reunion was being (presumably) filmed and watched from start. It was very intrusive. There is a next door neighbor that we had quite a bit of trouble with. To be fair to the house and neighbor, my uncle did show up with a small dog, which we told him and his girlfriend they couldn’t bring. They are in their late seventies and I’m sure they simply forgot. As soon as the dog got out of the car it was running around the front yard while I was talking to my uncle about the situation to come up with a plan for the dog. Not five minutes after my uncle and the dog show up, the next door neighbor is getting our attention from his front porch, claiming to be the property owner and insisting we remove the dog. Apparently this gentleman is not the property owner. I let him know, look this was unexpected, we’re working out a solution. Ultimately, I had to call Vacasa to have them contact the actual owner to tell this neighbor to stop videoing and watching us from his windows. I actually went out the front door, waived and then motioned that “I see you” to him. This guy spent a good 45 minutes creeping through his windows before he chilled out. I had three teens on that drip and they were weirded out by the ordeal. Nice house, not welcoming.

Spacious Home

The kitchen was a great accommodation for those that love to cook. House is appointed beautifully and the spaciousness appealing. A few aspects to be aware of : Smaller bedrooms provide nowhere to accommodate a suitcase Access to beach is misleading with photo of Lake Lytle, you have to cross Pacific Hwy for beach access Shows a fireplace yet it isn’t available to guests. If it is expense, an option to upgrade would be appreciated. It was one of the reasons we choose the site. When I inquired with Vacasa I was told it wasn’t listed in the amenities. Shame on me for not studying the fine print. A few in our group found the pillows challenging for a good night’s sleep A directory of house how to’s, easy to access by all rather than digitally would have been helpful. We could never figure out how to lock the house. I wasn’t going to call Vacasa and wait 2 hours for an answer after my discouraging first call. Overall these are minor issues, we had a great experience.

Dads 70th Fishing trip

This house is clean and cozy. Easy location and beautiful setting accords from the little lake. This listing is exactly as it says and I would recommend to any group.

Rented Again after Four Years - Still Great!

We don’t usually rent the same place twice, opting for adventure. But we rented this house four years ago and had such great memories we decided to come back. The house remains awesome! I was worried years of renting would wear it down, but it hasn’t. I suppose it’s well managed. It was super easy to get in and out of the house and everything worked well. The hangout area is cozy, the kitchen is great to cook in, the bathrooms are nice, and the bedrooms are comfortable. All of our guests agreed it was a great house.

life on the lake

The house was clean and as advertised.good location and suitable to outside family gathering. The doors to each bed room had slates, not solid doors and noise was an issue

beautiful lake front house

We loved this house for our family reunion. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed to cook all our meals. The beds were comfortable with lots of blankets in every room. We enjoyed sitting on the porch with great chairs for front and back porch and used the firepit for making smores one night. It is true all the doors are slated so be aware all sound travels through the bathroom! I used a fan and white noise machine in the bedroom which blocked out noise from . This is by far the most comfortable we have ever been in beach house!. Crossing the 101 to get to the beach was not an issue. I just wish we had kayaks to use on the lake during our stay.

Great location

We had a fun time! Knowing the lake across the way is stoked with bass and trout…we’ll be coming back again to enjoy some fishing. The place was clean and the rooms were spread out for privacy.

Louver doors made privacy impossible to attain. Gorgeous house and property. Beautiful setting.

Why the louver doors? No privacy as the entire house can hear everyone one else cough, you name it. The house is gorgeous otherwise. The setting is lovely, on a lake with a 2 block walk to the beach. Crossing the highway must be done with vigilance for safety.

Rockaway Beach House

Our family loved this house. Beautiful views, pool table, nice patio to sit outside and enjoy the cool days, plenty of room for everyone. Just a short drive to surrounding towns up the Oregon coast. Would definitely stay here again.

Rockaway Getaway

This was a great house for our family weekend. Very clean, well appointed. Lots of room to spread out, the ping pong /pool table added fun when it was raining! It does need a home booklet giving some guidance for the house itself, appliances etc and suggestions of where to go and what to do while in the area.

Beautiful Getaway

Our family met after a long few years apart due to Covid restrictions, this home met all our needs. Plenty of room, great location, and very beautiful! It was a wonderful family vacation!

Very clean home!

Beautiful property! We really enjoyed the large front patio with view of the lake. It was very relaxing. The backyard fire pit was a favorite of our trip as well. Well maintained and clean. Comfortable bedding. We appreciated that the check out instructions were simple.

Perfect home away from home

We loved the feel of this home, and immediately felt comfortable. We were thankful that the kitchen had all that we needed to prepare meals during our stay. We enjoyed the fireplace in the backyard and were pleasantly surprised to find some firewood was provided. Our kids enjoyed the stay so much that they were sad to leave. We’d stay there again in a heartbeat.

Great House!

This is a very comfortable house to fit a large group of people. My family has been living in and coming to Rockaway Beach my entire life and we all congregated together for a family memorial. What we hadn’t expected was how incredibly crowded Rockaway would be during our stay and this house was just north of all the crazy tourist action. We had four kids and four adults staying here and it worked well for us. The only thing I would consider is the matter of privacy and noise. All the doors are partially louvered, including the bathroom doors, so be prepared to hear people doing their business in the bathrooms and/or snoring in the night. The upstairs bedrooms weren’t too bad and the master suite over the garage was the quietist and most private. Overall, I would say this would be perfect for adults more than families with small children, but it worked for us and was very comfortable.

Good: Nice property/home. Not so good: >Ants seem to be infiltrating the home above the main entry door. Continued to through our 5 day visit. >One of the chairs kitchen table looks warn out and was not usable (sags deeply in the middle). >Every door (including all bathrooms) are lattes doors. Far less than private for frequent bathroom use.
