Perfect for a romantic getaway or road trip destination! Newly decorated! Stay in one of San Diego's most charming beach communities. Walking distance to OB's Newport Avenue, where you will find amazing cafes, breweries, and restaurants, as well as one of San Diego's best beaches and the longest concrete pier on the West Coast. This spacious studio cottage is located in a laid back neighborhood which immerses you in the true OB vibe. Short-Term Residential Occupancy License: STR-06950L

I am so excited to be able to offer this brand new listing to you! Will be redecorated soon! Absolutely perfect for the fun, outgoing traveler that wants the ease of being able to wander and walk everywhere! Several of the studio cottages in the complex has been converted into cozy, clean and comfortable vacation rentals near the beach. Dogs are welcome for $25 a night per dog.

We enjoyed our stay at this property! Clean, simple, close walk to lots of coffeeshops and food that we enjoyed. It had everything we needed for a small weekend getaway. If you are looking to cook, the kitchen is a little limited and there is no coffee grinder as is listed. This didn’t impact our stay too much, we still had a wonderful time

This rental was perfect for our stay in Ocean Beach! Walking distance to the beach and all amenities we needed were included in the apartment. Even street parking was manageable. The airport is close by so you do hear planes flying over during waking hours. The host was easy to reach and very accommodating to us. Highly recommend and would stay again!

Great Stay!

The VRBO stay was a cute little tiny home feel. We had everything we needed, however it was a little bit dusty. The location was great for a younger crowd. My husband and I enjoyed La Jolla and Coronado island. So ocean beach didn’t end up being our priority. But I think if you enjoy a free spirited place to gather you would enjoy staying here. It’s a little bit of a distance to the beach but it is right next to a grocery co op!!!

Great location,easy walk to some of my favorite places

Needed a place to stay for a quick surf trip. Zen was clean easy to find and easy to check in to. More emphasis needs to be made about parking. Even though it's far from the beach it still suffers from " Beach parking" issues as it's street parking only. Great dogs for a single traveler and can be difficult to park close. Pro

Cozy small apt perfect for a couple

The hosts were very easy to work with, quick with communication, their neighborhood recommendations were great, and the place was small (consistent with descriptions in profile) but perfect for my girlfriend and I when we visited San Diego. Had a great experience and recommend it to any other couple visiting.

Amazing break away!

Hubby and I had such a lovely visit to San Diego and loved this little studio apartment! Close to everything, amazing neighbourhood; the studio was super clean and had the little amenities (coffee!) you need. Highly recommended !

Great location. Walk to everything!

Property is located central to everything in Ocean Beach. Didn't even use our rental car for the 2 days that we were there. Walk to shopping, dining, beach time Check in was easy. Lots of natural light coming in. There is a lot of airport noise, which didn't bother me, but people should know. This was way better than a hotel room and less costly!

Cute cottage!

What an adorable place! The outside doesn’t do it justice! Once you open the door it was a beach cottage escape! It was so clean and the decor is amazing! The retro toaster and microwave were so cool! Never stayed in ocean beach but will definitely recommend and will stay again! But for longer next time! Very walkable to everything! About a mile or so to Target and the ocean. I guess if there has to be one bad thing it would be that the volume on the Roku remote is very touchy and seems to turn the volume up extremely loud while struggling to turn it down. But who goes to the ocean to watch tv!

Review

Plus side: Property Mgr very communicative (via text). On. Bus route for weekday service. Negative side: The suite has a distinct sour pong in the air, quite noticeable on entry. Source unknown, was there for the entire week I stayed. Snake alarms had been removed. Subsequently discovered them in a cupboard, batteries out. Glass window below skylight is broken, small amount of water drips from time to time. Likely due to condensation. Fortunately hit the floor, not the bed.

Cute little studio in main area of OB

Location was easy to find and the place was tidy. I would have liked more cooking utensils in the kitchen, there was very limited glassware as well and no sponge to do the dishes. Communication with the owner was easy and the place matched the pictures! Definitely a prime area for OB

New favorite!

This is our new favorite little cottage! Stayed in July and stayed again last week! It’s prefect for the two of us! And a short walk to ocean beach! The new ramen place across the street is amazing! Can’t wait to come back next year!

Great location-walking distance to everything

Was within walking distance of everything in OB but yet also was quiet and away from noise. The only downside for us was that our side of the building the windows didn't face the ocean so we did not get the direction of breeze and no way to get a cross breeze flowing. Small fans so they were not as helpful during the unusual heat wave during our stay. Other than that the unit was clean and comfortable and she was wonderful to work with. Would stay again!
