Cute little place. Within walking distance from the beach, restaurants and shopping. Has parking, which is NOT easy to find in that area. Host was great, responded quickly to questions. Checked in on us a few times during the stay. Great place to relax after a busy day.

The location of the home was perfect, the kitchen well stocked with utensils and plateware. My family will definitely be staying here again in the future. Doug was a wonderful host and made sure we had everything we needed.

Close to Beach

Property was very close to beach and places to eat and check out! Was a bit more "used" or "well loved" than we expected but the property manager was more than accommodating.

Great two bedroom very close to Ocean Beach Pier

Overall cute place- a little rough around the edges. Clean, manager very responsive. Lots of great restaurants near by, had a blast body boarding every day. Great tide pools just down the street

Great Location to Everything!

This older property was perfect. We were blocks from the beach, shopping and restaurants. Doug was responsive to all inquiries and even gave some suggestions for restaurants and grocery shopping.

I had a lot of accommodations that had to be made for my work trip and the owner was super helpful and accommodating. I would've probably been annoyed with myself but he had no complaints. Walk to the beach is 5 min but you can walk a min to get a perfect view of the ocean. Would highly recommend this place

Great, comfy location in the OB!

Very cozy apartment style setup, with all of the accomodations needed to cook, relax and enjoy the ambience of Ocean Beach. Unit was clean and had everything needed to cook and eat meals within, bathroom towels and toiletries were provided. Nice living area for lounging and watching TV and hanging out. Even additional items like beach chairs & a cooler came in handy. Also within the perfect walking distance to the Newport Ave area. Great little gem in OB.

Doug was great at communicating and everything was as described. We had a slight audible and Doug was very communicative and flexible with us.

Great OB access

Location is amazing, Price reasonable. There is no A/C, which ended up not being too big of a deal but I think in the summer it's something to give you pause if you're going to be there during daylight hours. They do have access to a washer and dryer but it's not in unit: that's my only small ding.

One Block from the Beach!

We are from MA and to try something different decided to trade the beaches of New England for SoCal this summer. This location is walking distance to Ocean Beach and the great beachy restaurants surrounding Newport Ave. Kids loved catching small crabs located in the tide pools at the end of the street. Walls were a tad thin and we heard snoring from next door one night, but the fan in our room drowned it out. other than that this neighborhood seem to adhere to quiet time. its located on the second floor so we had a nice breeze. Closet had lots of useful things for a trip to the beach!

Great location, cozy little beach apartment.

We really enjoyed our stay in Ocean Beach!Pros-Location1/2 block to the cliffs to watch the sunsetShort walk to town & beach. Lot’s of great restaurants in town. Stop for 3 happy hour fish tacos at Wonderlands. Great food, beautiful view. Easy access to the property. Cozy, clean apartment with all the necessities and assigned parking spot behind the property, not street part which was nice! Beach chairs and umbrella. Wi-Fi and flatscreen TVs in each room connected to streaming services. Cons: If you’re not familiar with Ocean Beach, you’re in the flight path of the San Diego airport. Flights start early morning about 5:30-6:00 am, if your windows are open, it gets pretty loud. Both beds are sagging and uncomfortable, they’re in need of replacement in our opinion.

Great family getaway

The property was easy to find and get in/out of. All of my questions to the owner were answered quickly, within the hour and didn't cause any delay in the check-in process. There isn't air conditioning, which I was worried about since it was the end of July. The space was warm when we entered in the afternoon but there were fans going in every room and once evening came and the breeze from the ocean, it was pleasant for the rest of the stay. We kept the windows open the entire stay. The property was gated. Outside temperatures were mid 60's to mid 70's throughout our stay. Linens and towels were clean. It was great to have 2 bedrooms, we have a teenager who likes their own space. All of the other places I looked at in the neighborhood were 1 bedroom with a pullout couch. It was a short walk to the beach, via the streets, or there was a staircase at the end of the street that takes you down to the tidepools and then connects to the beach right by the pier. The staircase is steep though, so use the streets if you have little kids or trouble with stairs. Overall, very happy with our stay.

Clean property, great location, great to have a parking spot, well equipped kitchen, nice amount of property space, nice shared patio space, and host communication was excellent. And with the density of the neighborhood, it was surprisingly quiet. But, our stay was timed when San Diego was warm, and although the unit had lots of fans, as stated in the listing, there is no AC. Couple that with uncharacteristic breezeless days and nights, despite the open windows, our stay was unfortunately warm. Saying that, we would book again during cooler seasons.

Our stay was great. I would recommend anyone who has the space if traveling by car, bring a couple of extra fans. The bedrooms were a little warm even with the windows open, the fans provided were ok but extra definitely doesn’t hurt. We enjoyed the location and apartment. Doug was a great, communicative host and any questions we might have had, he answered before we thought of them. We would definitely stay again the next time we find ourselves in Ocean Beach.
