Larry, the owner, was incredibly responsive and very nice. He graciously allowed us to check in early and check out late, which we really appreciated. The property was tidy, and we enjoyed our stay! One thing I wanted to mention for future guests, particularly parents traveling with infants or toddlers, is that this is an apartment-style property and is also pet-friendly, as stated. During our stay, the guests upstairs had at least two dogs, and the barking was noticeable at times. We could also occasionally hear footsteps and conversations from upstairs. This is certainly not a reflection of Larry or the property, as the pet-friendly policy was clearly stated, and some of this simply comes with staying in an apartment rather than a standalone home. If the upstairs guests don’t have dogs, or have dogs that aren’t prone to barking, this may not be an issue at all. However, it’s something families with little ones, especially those who may be sensitive to noise during nap time or bedtime, might want to consider when booking. In hindsight, I hadn’t really thought about how challenging it could be to get a toddler settled and asleep while occasionally hearing activity from upstairs. That’s something I could have considered more carefully before booking, so I certainly take responsibility for that expectation.I want to emphasize that we enjoyed our stay, Larry was wonderful to work with, and none of this takes away from the quality of his place or his hospitality.
