The vacation rental was very clean.

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.

We have been vacationing at Captiva since 2002 and this was the worst rental experience we have had. When we arrived on Saturday evening we opened the lock box for the front door and there were no keys in it. I called the maintenance number and was given the emergency number. I spoke with him and he told us to try the door to the right. Luckily, this door was not locked so we were able to get in.We noticed that the front outer door was extremely hard to open that evening and on Sunday, and in fact we had to leave it open or else we would not be able to get in. You had to have someone inside hold the door on the bottom with their foot and give it a lot of pressure from the inside. On Sunday when I took a shower in the Master Bathroom the tub would not drain so your shower was in ankle deep water. I called the emergency maintenance man and he said he would have someone out first thing Monday. No one showed on Monday, so I called again Monday afternoon and left a message. On Tuesday, I went to the rental office at 9 and they weren't open, I went again at 10 and no one was there. I went at lunch time and luckily someone was there. He was very surprised that no one had come out but he said he would have someone over there in an hour. A very nice maintenance man did come out and he spent quite a bit of time fixing the front door. He had to place new brackets for the door in the floor. He also was able to get the shower to drain. On Wednesday we noticed that the pool was extremely hot to the point it could not be used. I called maintenance again and he said he would have someone stop by before 5. No one ever did. The sink in the Master bathroom became clogged on Wednesday night into Thursday morning. I went back over to the Rental Office and told the person about what was going on. She said they were down a maintenance person and she would do what she could do about the sink and the pool.
