The kitchen/dining room/living room/deck is great—- open the windows and the sliding glass doors and feel that cool breeze and listen to the waves crashing on Seabright Beach.There’s a very nice walking path along the cliffs that leads down to the Yacht Harbor with trail out to the Lighthouse. Beautiful in the morning and in the evening.The stairs down to the beach are at the end of the street, a one minute walk. You can walk over to East Cliff Drive ( 5 minutes) and walk right on to the beach and avoid the stairs. Bathrooms and fire pits at that location.Weekends use the Water Taxi, try the beach in front of the Crows Nest, bathrooms/restuarants/volleyball/and Hobie Cat sailboats parked on the sand.On the weekends use an Uber, it makes things so much easier and you won’t lose your spot on Second Steet. We went bowling, wharf walk ( see the seals) and Boardwalk Colonnade on Sunday with no parking problems.Mary (your host) is the best. Everything was smooth as silk !!!

The location was fabulous! We could easily walk to the beach, restaurants, and boardwalk. Mary communicated well and provided recommendations. She also generously waived the fee for an additional guest and offered a late checkout. The house was clean, and we especially enjoyed the outdoor deck. That said, this was the most difficult and uncomfortable rental experience I’ve had. In addition to the VRBO terms and required deposit, I was sent a separate multi page rental agreement, asked for a copy of my driver’s license, occupant names and required to provide an additional 1,000 refundable security deposit check that was immediately cashed instead of simply held. The lengthy list of rules felt unusually strict for a vacation rental. Future renters should also know that there were no extra sheets or blankets (one bed was missing a top sheet). We were expected to wash, fold and put away used towels, purchase additional toilet paper, each bathroom (2) had one extra roll for our group of 10 women, and take trash and recycling to public bins down at the end of the street. There was no standard coffee maker and beach towels were not provided. The location, communication, cleanliness, and outdoor space were positives. The additional agreement, security deposit, rules and housekeeping expectations made this experience considerably more restrictive than any other vacation rental I’ve stayed in.

Our family enjoyed our stay at Sea Angel vacation rental. Close to the beach, harbor, restaurants and the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. The tenants that lives behind the rent was very nice and very helpful

This trip was a family reunion-the first time I and my adult children & grandkids had been back in Santa Cruz together as tourists. The Sea Angel has a great location. We walked to the SC Beach Boardwalk, yacht harbor, Seabright Beach and several of our favorite restaurants and coffee shops. The Sea Angel was exceptionally clean and well stocked. The neighborhood is quiet and in an area not well known by tourists.It wasn't clear to me in the description of the property that the main living area is up a flight of stairs, so when I first opened the front door I was disappointed. I'm 70 plus and my knees are not great- it was a challenge to get my luggage upstairs, then lug up all the groceries. (I arrived before my family) Renters should also be aware that the Sea Angel has lots of depression-era glass objects, which I moved before the grandkids arrived. The place is definitely not kid-friendly. Most disappointing was that we could not have visitors. (Possible forfeiture of our 1K deposit). Our friends had to meet/chat with us on the sidewalk. Also there is a family in the back unit that uses the same trash cans. (Mary asked us to carry our trash to the public beach cans at first.) Apparently Santa Cruz requires owners to be around when a short term unit is rented, so Mary and her husband were staying in a room at the front of the property (unknown to us till check-out when we met them). Overall, great vacation/location and great to be back in Santa Cruz.

Family Holiday

Wonderful place to stay, which we found at the last minute when another VRBO reservation fell through due to major plumbing issues. Had to scramble since it was the 4th of July holiday period, but it worked out fine. Ideally located and Mary is a wonderful host - easy to communicate with and we were able to handle everything digitally.....

Great place

Great place for a group of teens and adult chaperones. The loft has no upstairs bathroom—in fact, all bedrooms except the master have to share one bathroom. But that’s just fine for teenagers. Mary was an excellent host.

Family vacation

Being so close to the beach was awesome as well as the boardwalk!! The house was clean and comfortable. The only thing I would suggest is putting in a queen bed in bedroom that has twins beds in it as well as upstairs. Upstairs could handle one set of bunk beds with a queen bed. Great house

The property manager was very responsive to all our question. They send us a very detailed with instructions and other fun facts like places to eat and activities. Also let us know about an event that was upcoming and what the parking situation would be on the street. When we walked their were sand buckets for each kid laid out. Such a personal and thoughtful touch. I would stay here again. The only thing I would say is there are a few glass breakables. For those with small children you will need to be sure to put those away or watch your child so nothing breaks. The house is so close to the beach. It is exactly like the description. It was easy to walk there.

This space is a delight! We stayed here for a week in July 2026, the sleeping arrangements were perfect - my three kids could each bring a friend and sleep comfortably. The kitchen is well stocked so we had no problem cooking most nights. Quiet neighborhood, great communication with Mary. Overall, a wonderful experience

Family vacation

Great property and especially nice owner. Very good location. One of our family members unfortunately has very serious cancer and had a difficult time with the stairs to the living quarters. A family issue and not a reflection on the property at all. All the rest of the family had a very nice time.

Luxurious Sea Angel stay

We stayed at the Sea Angel from March 23rd to 26th. When we arrived, the house was absolutely stunning as we had walked in, and the view from the house is beautiful. When my daughters and their friends had walked in, their expressions were more than amazed, like a little kid going to Disneyland for the first time. You are able to see the waves crash from the balcony, and feel the amazingly salty air. The house is decorated beautifully, and it was very clean. We had visited the beach often, and it was a delight to come back to the Sea Angel to wind down and relax for the day and night. It was spacious and the decor set everything in the right mood for our beach paradise stay. The boardwalk was a small yet beautiful walk away. We loved our stay at the Sea Angel, and we recommend it to anyone looking for a great seaside stay.

Great Location - Perfect for our Family

My two daughters, three grandsons (aged 10-13), and I spent 4 nights at Sea Angel in July. The location was fantastic for us - just half a block to the beach and a 15 minute walk to the boardwalk. We were able to keep the boys active and off their electronics the whole time. We had 2 cars and parking in front was never a problem (although we were not there on the weekend). As advertised, the house is stocked with depression glass dishware and glasses. Having 3 active boys, I put all of the depression glass out of reach and we mostly used paper plates and cups. The boys slept in the upper loft area and had no problems with the spiral staircase at their age. Highly recommend the house for anyone who enjoys easy access to the beach and boardwalk.

We had an amazing time at the Sea Angel!

We had an amazing time at the Sea Angel rental property. The worst part about our trip was going home. The beach is steps away and the weather was perfect. We also enjoyed a short walk to the museum as well as walking to the Boardwalk. The house worked well for my family. The owner left gifts for our 3 kiddos as well as super attentive anytime I called. Great vacation for our entire crew ( in-laws too) and super grateful this family shared this piece of California joy with us.

Sea Angel Lives up to its name

My husband and I were fortunate enough to be able to spend a couple of days at the beautifully-decorated and well-appointed Sea Angel. We loved the glass, the light that comes through the windows, the window seat, the recliners, the master bedroom and bath - SO incredibly inviting, warm, and comfortable. I brought my work with me, but I rarely looked at it because there was so much to do in the area, and I just had to look at all the lovely magazines on the coffee table. My husband even thought he was at our own home at one point - he was THAT comfortable. :-) However, speaking of work, it was quite easy to plug in my laptop and take care of a few matters, and I still felt like I was on vacation. We parked our car out front and walked the entire time we stayed. The Boardwalk, beach, harbor, and many local restaurants are within walking distance. On one of the days, we walked all the way to Natural Bridges State Park. The Owners are extremely organized, courteous, and responsive. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a nice Getaway and to get to know Santa Cruz a bit better...

AMAZING 80th Birthday Getaway

Sea Angel is the perfect place to get away from it all. We booked this for my moms 80th Birthday. The house was really clean and beautifully decorated. It was perfect for all 14 of us. Walking distance to the beach, boardwalk and restaurants. When we arrived the owner had some flower wait with a very nice card for my mom. Mom and all of us LOVED everything about this Sea Angel. We would recommend it to anyone. To the owners, our sincere Thank You Manny T.

Lovely time in Santa Cruz

Me, my wife and our 3 young children (1, 4 and 9 yrs) stayed at this property over the new year holiday. The home was just right for us. We enjoyed the colored glass and "beach" decor. We walked to the beach, harbor, boardwalk and local restaurants. The owner was quite responsive to booking on short notice and left some beach buckets and a small book gifts for the kids upon arrival. The house was equipped with all of the essentials. We would consider this place again should we decide to have a trip to Santa Cruz.

Very nice stay

We had a lovely time at Sea Angel in Santa Cruz. We felt warmly welcome in a charming and nurturing home. It was extremely clean and well furnished. We found everything that we needed and even more. The beach is at a walking distance. We appreciated all the details that the owner put together to make our stay fantastic (list of restaurants and fun things to do). She even had prepare some lovely treats for the younger ones! We would highly recommend this place to anyone who would like to have the prefect family time in Santa Cruz!

Lovely stay

We rented Sea Angel as a family getaway with friends coming from France! The location was wonderful and extremely convenient. Kids could easily walk to the beach, or the boardwalk and on a sunny day we were able to have a great picnic. We enjoyed the cleanliness of the house and were touched by all the great attentions of the owner. She is obviously a very sensitive person who wants to do anything to make your stay enjoyable. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Location, location!!!

Sea Angel is truly angelic. I was somewhat apprehensive when I saw the beautiful collection of depression glass as my 4 grandsons charged into the house. All went well as we spent most of the time at the beach or boardwalk. The kids love the location since we could walk everywhere. I especially enjoyed my lounge chair on the deck with a clear view of the ocean and the sound of the waves hitting the shore. We have rented other homes in the Seabright area but this was truly the best location. Thank you for sharing your home.
