All in all, an excellent stay for 6 mature women who had the time of their lives. Everything was as stated and clean. Exceptionally good location, and friendly neighbors.

We had a great stay and always love being in Santa Cruz. The property is located in a great area with a view of the ocean right out of the front yard and we were able to walk down to the pier for dinner at night and around the corner to a nice coffee shop each morning.The house was clean and charming with a lot of interesting history on the walls. The backyard was well kept and a nice area to just relax and find some quiet.We had a great weekend and would stay again in the future.

Terrific location for a family stay easy walk to the wharf, boardwalk, beaches. Pretty quiet neighborhood for as close to everything that it is. Very well stocked house. Hot tub works well. Couldn’t ask for a nicer stay!

It’s a nice house in a great location that is close to the boardwalk! It has a nice yard too if you bring a dog like we did!

Comfortable beds, good kitchen, and hot tub was nice. Great location on the west side of SC near surf spots, the boardwalk and a short drive to downtown.

Wonderful place close to surf spots and very quiet neighborhood, even being close to a main street, there was no noise and the stay was fun and relaxing.

This is our second time staying at this lovely home. The location is perfect. We really enjoy the walk to the Boardwalk and pier. The house is very clean and well equipped to handle a large family.

Beautiful home, excellent location. Home had everything that we needed and more. We had a lovely time. Spent time in spa, played games in the yard, watched surfers and walked to beach. It was a most enjoyable stay!

Great location for family gathering.

The location was great for our family coming together for parts of the holidays. We could easily walk and surf straight from the property. It has a great common space.

The hot tub was a great feature! The host was generous enough to stock the kitchen with coffee, some spices, cooking oil… Great location by one of the best Surf Break’s in the country. Nice and quiet. The only drawbacks are the dishwasher is very small, and the windows in the master do not open. But neither of those were a big problem for us.

This was a wonderful home to gather our friends and family to enjoy my son's wedding. Loved the special lotion that was provided and then promptly forgot to grab it on our way out. It was perfect place for the wedding party.

Rob's a Los Gatos-born & raised native Californian, whose family has been in the area since the late 1800's. Maryann hails from tiny Pittsfield, New Hampshire, brags that she is of 100% Polish stock, and arrived in California to live and work for the first time in 1971. At one time or another, both she and Rob have been residents of New York City and both have enjoyed extensive overseas work and/or living assignments in Asia, Europe and South America. They exude a casual warmth and dedicated kindness that aims to provide every guest of their Steamer Lane Manor beach home with a happily memorable stay.

Rob fell in love with this house way back in 1972, fresh out of grad school. His longest tenants were his parents, Bern & Mima, who resided here from 1974 until 2001 -- Bern living until age 95 and Mima an admirably active 101. Built by a Danish contractor for himself back in 1942, the house saw no corners cut in terms of quality or aesthetics. It is Rob & Maryann's primary home and favorite spot on earth when they're in a mood to inhale the restoring freshness of Pacific Ocean salt air, enjoy a delightful fish dinner, bike and hike the coastal cliffs, sip a craft beer at one of Santa Cruz' burgeoning microbrew establishments -- or just loaf in the company of friends and family.
