Located approximately 2 hours from Chicago this home is nestled on over an acre of wooded land with a 70 ft private beach, semi-private tennis courts. You'll find plenty to do in this classic Lake Michigan house. Enjoy waking up each morning to the smell of fresh air, green grass, crisp leaves and the lake: take a long walk on the beach, relax on the screened in porch, play a round of tennis or cool off in the water; your evening can be filled with BBQing , smores at the beach, star gazing and laughing with friends and family.

This home has a well equipped kitchen, comfortable living space complete with gas fireplace, a dining room, multiple large picture windows, a large sun deck and a breezy screened-in porch which is a great spot to relax with shade and fresh air. With 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, this house is great for larger families or groups of friends to convene for a vacation on Lake Michigan.

Located just 10 minutes from Saugatuck/Douglass were you can enjoy downtown shopping, explore a variety of dining options, drive stunning golf courses, blueberry/strawberry/apple/pumpkin picking, explore the many cideries/breweries/wineries, hike the dunes or take a dune ride, create a masterpiece at the Art Barn, and in the winter this home is just 40 minutes away from Bittersweet Ski Resort.

Lake Michigan

We had a great time visiting Saugatuck. The home on Lake Michigan had all the amenities we needed and more. Chris was great to work with and very accommodating.

Beautiful property!

My group stayed for 3 nights with 6 adults and 1 toddler. We had plenty of room for all of us! The view from the house is gorgeous, and the beach access is so convenient. The house itself was very clean and well-maintained. We would all stay there again in a heartbeat.

Lake Michigan sunsets

We are a group of older women on our annual gathering. Enjoyed days on the beach and evenings around the campfire. The rocky beach and lake presented a challenge for some, but we managed it with shoes. The house had everything we needed and is a beautiful place to enjoy Michigan's greatest lake. We loved every minute!

60th Birthday Celebration

Wonderful stay for 7 lifelong friends to celebrate our 60th birthdays. So many spots for us to gather and hang out. Water views were stunning! Comfy beds, updated home, located among mansions and very private. Very responsive property manager.

Great Location

Location - property location was excellent, close proximity to the beach, can see the sunset from the deck. The beach was a bit rocky, so would recommend bringing water shoes if you plan on swimming. Check-in process - the host was flexible and let us check in early, but was just given a code to the door, and got no directions on how to get there. We went down the wrong road initially per google maps. Upon check-in - there was a one page document with places to eat, and the wifi password, no other details about the property or the area were provided. Communication with property manager was excellent before the stay, quick responses and very flexible. After the stay I reached out 13 days ago, and have not received a response. Cleanliness - to me this seemed like a typical family beach home that is not occupied most of the time (marks on the walls, musty smell in the basement, wires hanging out of the ceiling where lights use to be, holes in the screen in the screened in porch). It is at the end of the rental season, so I am sure that something to do with it. We did encounter a couple mice during the stay, which I am sure is common for for this kind of home, but was a first for me at a rental property. Connectivity - the entire group got spotty cell service at best which would have been good to know this going into it - YMMV. Wifi is provided but coverage throughout the home, including the main tv for streaming, is also spotty at best.

Another great week!

This was our second year renting this home and it was another wonderful vacation. The house is always clean and ready to go. The grounds are well maintained and beautiful. The best part, according to my kids is the beach and yard. The screened in porch is also a very popular place to hang. Thanks for a wonderful week!

Fantastic spot on the lake

Everything was exactly as described in the listing. So very thankful, especially for our Grammy, to have access to a beautiful beach without a bunch of stairs. The yard was perfect for family games of softball, spud, catch, fires and smores. A word of warning about the beach… make sure you bring water shoes! There are lots of rocks in the water—large and small—that make the walk in a little bit painful! The screened in porch was the perfect place to relax at dusk to enjoy the sounds and scenes and family without worrying g about bugs getting you. And the view from the living room every morning was breathtaking. For us it was a dream fulfilled to be right on the lake like that. We already booked our stay for next summer and cannot wait

Fantastic Stay

This property was amazing, the perfect location for people of all ages. Plenty for teens to do to occupy themselves for a long weekend without having to leave. Sunsets were amazing even on a cloudy evening. Great stay!

Michigan Reunion Perfection

Perfect location with incredible views of Lake Michigan. The house had everything we needed, was clean and the layout was wonderful for gathering for conversations, games, relaxing and enjoying the private beach. Easy drive to restaurants and area attractions. Chris was very responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend!

This is the one!

Our group of high school friends, all woman of a certain age ;), stayed at this home for three nights. Location is convenient to South Haven, Saugatuck, and Holland. Very quiet and private to return to in the evening after exploring. The sunset views were amazing. Private beach was amazing. Fire pit was amazing (wood provided). There is also a tennis court and ping pong table for guests use. House was well stocked and clean. Plenty of kitchen gear if you want to cook. Plenty of bath towels and washcloths provided. We may be making this an annual trip! Thanks for letting us visit your home. Forgot to mention the screened in porch and large deck with wonderful views of the lake! Five stars all around!

Lake MI in Fall

Gorgeous view & loved sound of waves. Family reunion with 8 adults in October. Plenty of room to spread out or gather with enough seating, large dining table and beds. Down bedroom is a little chilly but there were extra blankets. Kitchen stocked with dishes, pots, utensils to prep food. Outdoor firepit was a hit. Owner is communicative & prompt with responses. We recommend!

Michigan Vacation

This property met all of our needs so nicely. The owner Chris, was very pleasant to work with and prompt in answering any questions. The accommodations were very comfortable for the 10 of us. The yard and property is well maintained and perfect for backyard games. This property includes enough amenities for families to play together and relax together. Access to Lake Michigan is very easy! Overall a memorable family time!!

Fabulous beach getaway

We brought a group of 11 — 5 adults and 6 teenaged girls — and the house was absolutely fantastic for us. It's big and open enough to hold a large group without ever feeling crowded; we could all have dinner on the back deck together, but if you wanted a quiet spot to read in the morning, you could always find that too (the screened in porch is perfect for that). The bedroom situation is a little awkward with older kids but not a problem. The proximity to the beach is just unbeatable — rather than a set of stairs or a long walk down the sand and rocks, you just stroll down the lovely back lawn and right onto a massive private beach. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Check in/out went smoothly and Chris responded quickly and helpfully to all of my questions. We feel lucky we found this house, and we'd love to come back. Hopefully next year!

Great getaway spot!

What a gem property! Plenty of space for everyone - the deck and screened porch were especially popular. A huge grassy area with a large beach. Beach was very sandy; rocks in the lake of course but with water shoes, it wasn’t a problem. A very quiet neighborhood, neighbors were friendly. House was stocked with lots of things you may need. Owner was quick to respond to questions I had. All in all - a great space and a great week. Hope to return next year!

Location, location, location!

This property did not disappoint in our goal to find a clean home with easy access to the beach, privacy, and a short distance to restaurants, orchards, and charming shops. With our kids' ages ranging from 3-21, this was perfect for everyone. Beach play, ping pong, tennis, basketball, and campfire fun made up our stay.
