North Center - Modern, Safe, Family-Friendly, Solar-Powered Apartment

Nicely renovated, modern kitchen and bath, comfortable beds, and solar-powered. Great location in a safe neighborhood, Jewel (Grocery store) is less than a block from the front door, Trader Joe's, 4 craft breweries within three blocks, restaurants, bars, coffee shops, Wrigley Field nearby, and brown line train to downtown (the Loop). Families with children are welcome; we can lend a booster seat and pack-n-play upon request. We offer our guests Brooklinen towels. Owners with two young kids live upstairs, we are here to address guest needs. Our house is incredibly secure, we have security cameras on both the front and back porches. No smoking or vaping of anything on the property, guests can smoke on the front sidewalk or in the side alley. Parties, excessive noise, and loud music are prohibited — no large groups. Quiet hours are between 11 pm and 8 am.

Great location, easy check-in, great communication

Great location, easy to get to from the L and bus, walking distance to shops and restaurants. Hosts were quick to communicate and checked to see if we needed anything. As described in the listing, you can hear a family above but only occasionally. Overall a great base for exploring Chicago!

A Little Gem in a Charming Neighborhood

My husband and I were I town for a Cubs game and wanted to stay within walking distance of Wrigley. This was the perfect spot. The property feels spacious and we appreciated the extra touches like umbrellas and the white noise machines. I can’t say enough about the neighborhood. So many restaurants and shops within easy walking distance and great access to the Brown Line at Irving Park. The owners were easy to communicate with and quick to respond to questions. People highly sensitive to noise need to be aware that this property is split between an upper unit and lower. You can hear typical family noise but it wasn’t overly loud and never went beyond 10:00 p.m. I am very sensitive to noise and had no problem with sleeping. I’d stay here again!

Can’t say enough good things!

This was the perfect location for our family on our first trip to Chicago. The neighborhood is lovely, safe, and there were lots of places to eat and things to do within walking distance. We found free street parking really close to the house every day. The place was spotless, with great amenities, and the host was super quick to answer any questions we had. Overall we had a fantastic experience and I will surely stay here again when we come back to Chicago.

great location

justin was great to communicate with. their home is split to accommodate another apartment which was great. it was in a very safe neighborhood and had free parking on the street. it was close to where we needed to go and also a lot of restaurants close by. we accidentally left an item when we checked out and justin was great in getting it back to us. we would definitely stay again!

Great Stay!

We stayed 2 nights with children. It was a great space in a nice, safe area of Chicago. I loved all the restaurants and grocery within walking distance. Parking was not an issue, but was not always right in front of the house. The house was very clean and comfortable! The resources about the surrounding area were very helpful from the owners as well. Would definitely stay again!

Great Place to Stay

Perfect for Us

This pristine property met our needs for a long weekend visit to our daughter’s family nearby in Lincoln Square. All aspects of the reservation process were efficient and easy; the hosts’ communications were clear and timely; the unit was fully equipped with all and more that we needed. We would definitely rent again. Only one drawback - parking was difficult. The last night, the closest spot was two long blocks away.

Great Location and Stay

We had a lovely time at this rental. It was ideal location wise. Plenty to walk to and VERY family friendly neighborhood with a close by park which was ideal for us. Communication with host was great and responsive for any of our needs.

Lovely stay

Great spot- clean, reflects the listing well. Beds were comfy. The neighborhood is very walkable and delightful. A little far from the city center but not too bad- the Brown line was close and efficient. Most of what you could need was within walking distance of the VRBO anyway- cute shops and restaurants, grocery store. We'd return. Justin and Izzy were communicative and flexible with us.

I am a huge fan of Chicago. I love the food, the neighborhoods, and the convenience of having everything nearby. My wife and I have chosen to raise our kids without a car, so we built our lives around the bus and L lines. I am a committed community member, so much so that I ran for alderman (city council member in Chicago). I've worked in most neighborhoods around the city, and if you are interested in venturing out of the Northside, I’m happy to make some recommendations.

This is a very nice apartment. Because we often host family and friends, we have made every effort to make sure the place is functional, comfortable, and feels like home. We live upstairs so clearly we love the neighborhood. We are a block from the grocery store, and within two blocks from several great restaurants.
