The host was incredibly kind, including reaching out to make sure we had everything we needed. The house was exactly as advertised, so close to downtown!

This house fit 2 active families for 4 nights. We were thrilled—the house was clean, well stocked, and the perfect location to walk into town for sightseeing, kayaking, and enjoying local restaurants! Would highly recommend booking this house. Host was in communication with us throughout the process and our stay, easy to get a hold of when we needed something, and super accommodating when we had a special request!!

Many thanks for making our rental experience so enjoyable. The house was beautiful, well organized and very clean. Everything was exactly as expected, which we really appreciate.Our kids loved the game room. In typical ADK fashion, we had great weather one day and then it rained all day the next, keeping us indoors most of the day. As a family with two young children, this can be tough, but the house made this very easy and enjoyable! We look forward to returning and renting this house again for our annual trips to Lake Placid!

The host john is very easy going and is very on top of everything which made the stay easy... also the house is amazing . Walking distances to main street and 15 minute car drive to whiteface mountains which made the stay so easy. I highly recommend to anyone going lake placid

Beautiful home in fantastic location! House was so well stocked with kitchen items, extra towels and blankets, etc. Host was very helpful and easily reachable with any issues (not that we had any)

House was beautiful and very clean. Great location to with a very short walk into town but with the quietness you want when staying in Lake Placid. Host is great and very communicative. Had great outdoors, hike recommendations as well as restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

Amazing, very comfortable home for a weekend stay (or longer) -- we had 6 adults and never felt cramped! Perfect location close to town, and John is the consummate host, from communication at the start all the way through, plus he and his wife have compiled an AMAZING list of Things to do for every season in Lake Placid. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We had a wonderful stay at John and Heather’s Grand Getaway! It was so comfortable, everything you could need was carefully thought out and provided. Everything from booking to checking out was seamless! John contacted me right away after booking, they provided so much information about the location, absolutely impressed with their hospitality!

Great house in the middle of Lake Placid.

We had a great stay in Lake Placid. The house was beautiful and perfectly located just a couple blocks off of main street. We enjoyed our stay. The host, John, was available and very helpful.
