For a last minute booking, we were very impressed and happy with everything in this home. We needed peace and relaxation and that's exactly what we received. The only thing that did surprise us was there are no televisions in the home which ended up being a very good thing.We loved it very much and hope to come back again.

Great house! Beautiful setting and close to lots of things to do. The three bedrooms are very nice, but we opted not to use the additional finished basement sleeping areas (which were nice) because it does have a moist basement odor.

Family in the fingerlakes

The gathering place is a beautiful property and location. The house was very comfortable and clean. The outside deck and hot tub were enjoyable!We did go in the basement to play pool but there was an extremely strong mold and mildew smell. I really don’t see how anyone could use the bed in the basement. All of the carpet in the entire basement needs to be pulled up.

This home was perfect to celebrate an important birthday for a family member. The place is named perfectly as the gathering place, our family had an amazing time thoughout the spacious home We loved the welcome note and cookies. The home was very clean which we truly appreciated. The deck, the yard, the large great room and the game rooms were above and beyond for our family. We would definitely stay here again.

The Gathering Place is a beautiful property in a great location. The house itself was very comfortable and clean, and our group thoroughly enjoyed the outside deck and hot tub. If your looking for a peaceful place this will certainly be a great choice.However, several key issues impacted our stay:Basement Moisture: The basement pool table was a nice idea, but the space had an extremely strong mold and mildew smell. The dehumidifier couldn't keep up and required emptying every 6 to 10 hours. Asking the guests to empty the dehumidifier didn't seem appropriate when there are better solutions.Bathroom Confusion: Listing details are misleading. It states 4 full baths in one section, but elsewhere describes 2 full and 2 half baths. Additionally, the upstairs full bath is actually a modified Jack and Jill layout.Slow Internet & No Media: The Wi-Fi runs on a legacy telephone line and is very slow. There are also no TVs or radios provided for entertainment.It’s a lovely, clean spot for a retreat, but the listing accuracy, basement dampness, and tech limitations need addressing.

The Gathering Place was a wonderful place for our family trip which included four generations. Upon arrival after a long day of travel we were welcomed with a plate of homemade chocolate chip cookies!The home is in a quiet location and perfect central location to explore the Fingers Lake region. This home has a fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, a toy room, pool table and hot tub. It had plenty of space for our family.

Great size for a large family or several families travelling together, tons of space, amazing if travelling with dogs (fenced in yard). Close to everything but slightly removed from towns, nice and quiet. Enjoyed the back deck stargazing with a pot fire after a day exploring finger lakes region. And best of all, no bugs!

Lovely stay at The Gathering Place

House was gorgeous and had an abundance of space for the three of us and a perfect pug. The property is large and private. The kitchen, dining, and living rooms had plenty of space so that we were all comfortable. Then there was the basement! An extra area for us to hang out and play some pool! Overall, a fantastic experience and a must stay if you're ever in the area.

'The Gathering Place' is a perfect oasis of peace and quiet. After spending our five days with extended family members who were staying at a family home across the lake, our family especially enjoyed our extended mornings and late evenings on the deck with georgus views of open skies and cornfields. Our three year old grandson loved and explored the entirety of the home especially the fully stocked playroom. We, appreciated the fully stocked kitchen and all the amenities provided for guests. A very clean home conveniently located with easy access to all the delights Canandaigua Lake and the Finger Lake Region has to offer. We would definitely consider returning here if the opportunity arises.

Really nice to place to stay in the Canandaigua area. Communication with Host was A. House was clean and neat. In a very quiet and peaceful area. Would highly recommend for a place to stay in seeing a concert at CMAC, checking out the wineries, or visiting friends and family.
