Pelican Reef is a 3 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath, semi oceanfront cottage located at the end of a cul de sac in the village of Waves. Beach access is across the street- literally steps away. This cottage is newly listed on VRBO, and has been renovated in 2020 featuring all new stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, 65 inch smart TV, wifi, full size water and dryer, and a new deck. New flooring 2024.Enjoy fabulous ocean views, and sunsets over the sound. There is an outdoor shower and ample parking underneath the house. The three bedrooms consist of two queen beds and one bedroom with two twin beds. All bedrooms have memory foam mattress toppers and flat screen Roku TVs. Only bed linens are provided. Bath towels are available for rental. There is a screened in porch with additional seating and a porch swing. Underneath the house features a hammock, charcoal grill, outdoor shower, several beach chairs, umbrellas, awesome beach cart, corn hole, and tiki toss. The kitchen is very well equipped with all the amenities you will need to enjoy your stay including a vitamix blender, steam pot, air fryer, keurig and traditional coffee makers, and barware. The jellyfish table can glow in the dark if you shine a flashlight on them for just a few minutes. This cottage is less than half a mile from Pamlico Sound which is a world class destination for kiteboarding, windsurfing, and fishing. Upon arrival you will find a complimentary welcome package including one roll of paper towels, 2 rolls of toilet paper, one bottle of dish soap, hand soap, and laundry detergent, 2 dishwasher pods, and a kitchen sponge in a reusable tote to help you get settled. This area of the Outer banks has unique restaurants, shopping, and a variety of things to do for people of all ages. The Rodanthe pier is a half mile to the north. We encourage you to view our other rental VRBO 707603 to read reviews on a very similar cottage that is located just steps away. Based on availability, these two cottages would provide the perfect solution for those traveling in larger groups so that everyone can have their own space yet still be together. The cottages are perfect for young families with a no traffic beach access. We are very responsive to all inquiries and are happy to answer any questions. Hope to hear from you soon. As advertised and some things were even better than advertised!

We would definitely stay here again! Owners were great to work with and the views of the sunrises and sunsets were incredible. You couldn't ask for any easier access to the beach, we loved it!

Pelican Reef = 10/10!

This property was BEAUTIFUL. A quant beach cottage located very close to the beach. It was perfect for our family and our four-legged companions! The home was accurately advertised, and the home was pristine when we arrived. Whoever cleans the property following each rental deserves a raise! Looking forward to renting this property for future visits to Hatteras Island!

Great beach house

My family has been staying in Rodanthe since my sister and I were kids. The location of this property couldn’t be better, and the house is as cute as can be with plenty of amenities. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Perfect OBX week

Loved this property. Great week with my son for our annual beach getaway — and our pampered pooch was very happy to chase balls and birds at the shore for a week. Couldn’t ask for a better location. Thanks for a great stay.

Beautiful

Pelican Reef is a beautiful place to stay, directly across a dead end street from the beach. The deck was amazing to sit on and listen to the ocean waves. The house was so cute and just the right size. We would definitely return again.

Pelican reef was terrific

We spent a week at pelican reef for our 30th anniversary. The weather was perfect. The house was cozy and welcoming. We had an amazing time and would recommend this to anyone. Can’t wait to stay again!

Cool, cozy surf shack

Clean, cozy property steps from the beach in a nice, laid back town with surfers and kite boarders. Amenities and appliances all worked very good. Kitchen was well stocked. Our family had a great time. Would stay again.

Excellent place

One house back from the beach and beach access nearly straight ahead of the house (1 min). Nicely newly renovated property and really love the pelican theme. Outside seating was very nice to enjoy the sea breeze. Would definitely come back again.

Amazing time!

Our stay was amazing! The check in process was easy, clean house and plenty of amenities to enjoy! Donna and James were so responsive with all my questions and ensured that my family and I were comfortable. It was a needed vacation and well worth it! I 100000% recommend renting through them!

Last Minute

Our stay was great. We were able to find this house after we had a change in plans. The house was clean, well furnished, appliances were top quality. It was the perfect house for us and our dog. Easy access to the beach. Many thanks to the hosts James and Donna for working with us. We would definitely stay there again!!

Perfect Vacation!

We had the most enjoyable stay at Pelican Reef. The house was clean, comfortable, and close to not only the beach, but also restaurants and local shops. The proximity to the ocean was ideal and everything worked exactly as described in the online representation. The owners were prompt in answering any inquiries and made sure accommodations met our needs. I would recommend this location to anyone I know, and I would definitely book again!

I wanted to buy the beach cottage

An amazing beach cottage. Perfect size and location. Very cozy, well decorated. Kitchen is supplied with all you need to cook-in. I suggest the beach chairs and umbrellas be replaced...they are a bit worn out, but I would definitely stay again.

Ideal getaway beach cottage

A wonderful experience! The cottage is as shown with updated new & modern appliances to make everything just a little easier. Location was excellent, across the street from the beach entrance and also near to Waves market and restaurants and water sports. Our dogs thoroughly enjoyed the deck and covered patio and felt right at home. A great place for a romantic holiday or small family getaway.

Nice family vacation

We were excited about the location of the house right next to the ocean and it was indeed wonderful. We could walk to and fro in our swimwear multiple times throughout the day. The outside shower with hot water and hose were very convenient. The patio was our favorite place in the morning (you can see some ocean, lusten to the waves, and watch the sunrise right there!) and in the evening (when the sun was on the other side and it was shady and breezy). We found the beds very comfortable and the house cozy and clean. Although the kitchen was missing some items, it was well equipped and we managed without (we’ve shared the list with the owners). Overall, we enjoyed our time and would recommend the place to friends.

Great place to get away from busy life!

We had an awesome stay! The house was in great condition and very recently remodeled. It accommodated our family of four very well. The updated kitchen was easy to prepare dinner from the local fresh seafood places. All necessary beach supplies were on hand and the walk to the beach was short. Such a great day! We hope to resort return soon!
