BEACHCOMBER- A 6 Bedroom, 3 Full Bath, 2 Story Sleeps 16 plus Additional Trundles for overflow!

Beachcomber is a Lake Front home, with it own patio, and private beach. The Entrance to the beach is to the west side of the home.

The Patio is very spacious, and a New Patio was added that is elevated for Viewing and a New Firepit. There is seating for 20 plus on the patio, and there is a Gas Fireplace table, along with a Dining Table with chairs, and 2 more Round Dining tables, along with 4 Adirondack Chairs! We provide a Full propane tank at check in. You need to replace it if you run out!

The Dining area is very spacious with seating of 10 or more! Look at the pictures!
The Living room is very nice with lots of space for all !

Beachcomber is one of 5 homes available in Sand Beach, a 1920’s gated community. There is one way out, and one way in! It is bordered on the South by a Serene Marsh with active wildlife, and on the North by Lake Erie! Armor stone protects the front of the home, but there is a sandy beach and entrance to the lake just a few feet from the side door!

Beachcomber is next door to Beach Nuts, a 2 story home just being added for 2023. It is completely remodeled and can sleep over 12 additional guests! Just Ask! And it connects to Beachcomber by the Beach Access lot.

The Pictures show many of the features. Beachcomber is completely remodeled, and has a five star review from every guest! Many of the guests return each year, and it books early. The Home has a large capacity washer and dryer, central air, and internet/cable through Spectrum TV utilizing Roku TV. Amenities include all sheets and pillow cases, and beach towels and bath towels. Every Room has a TV!

The Kitchen is extremely well stocked. There is more than enough cookware, and each guest comments how well stock it is! We even have a Crockpot!
Three of the Bedrooms are King Size Beds, and are extremely comfortable. All are on the first floor. The Bunk Bed Room is off the laundry area and has two bunk beds with a trundle under each. Two Full Bathrooms with walk in showers!

The Second Floor is two full queen bedrooms, with a Twin Bed with Trundle under each. The Second floor has a full bath, and a second family room with Couch and TV. Its great to get away at times!
BRING YOUR OWN: Food, Plastic Silverware, Paper products, shampoos, etc. You should have ample pellets for the laundry and dishwasher, but bring your own if you run out!
Some spices are provided, but you should bring your own needs.

Girl Trip

Weather left a lot to be desired, but the house was great. Ted is quick to respond and his property manager even stopped by to make sure we were ok the day the storm hit as a result of hurricane Helene.

Perfect place

The pictures don’t do the property justice. It is very nice with lots of room - spacious bedrooms with very comfortable mattresses, nice kitchen and a great kitchen table and living room couch for discussions with friends. Perfect place to get away. And of course the view of the lake, sitting on the back deck.

AWESOME family vacation again!

This was the second time we have stayed at this location. Our family LOVED our stay. We do a family vacation every summer and this is the first time we have stayed at same place twice. The location is perfect, the house set up is one of the best places we have ever stayed and if you have a big group or small group you will have more than enough room! We also loved that you can get to the water right from the property. Not many places provide that amenity. Ted, was always available and quick to respond to anything we needed during our stay. Thank you again for a wonderful vacation. See you next summer! We already booked our 3rd vacation for 2025❤️

Great property with beautiful Lakefront footage. Good for swimming, etc. Close enough to activities in nearby Port Clinton. Comfortable beds, good air conditioning system, well equipped kitchen. Property manager was available and helpful too!

Great stay on the lake

Spacious home with plenty of room for our group of 12. Very well stocked kitchen. Appreciated the supplies available as well. We loved the fire pit at the chairs around it. Also loved the easy staircase entry to the water- great for paddle boarding access to the lake. Thanks for a great week!

Lake Erie Vacation

Our family of eleven spent a week at this rental. The location is ideal for our family as we have friends and relatives in the area. It is also a prime location to get to Put-in-Bay and Cedar Point. The house is exactly as the pictures show. The kitchen is well equipped and we had no problems cooking. We also used the gas grill. We highly recommend this place.

This was our third time at this house. The house was as shown, very comfortable, very clean and well equipped. There were nine people staying and none felt crowded. I have no problem recommending this house to my family and friends.

Great place for a large family

We wanted a place big enough for our large family of 11and this was it. All rooms were good size and beds were very comfortable. The area is not touristy which is a bonus and the views of Lake Erie are spectacular. Ted is a great host and we will be booking this place again.

BEST VRBO I have ever been in.

Amenities make the difference. The house is set up very nicely for large groups. Nice driveway, we fit 5 cars and we could have fit 7 in the space. Large seating area; large deck with many chairs; grills outside; firepit; chairs outside-outside view was great. Watch the blue Herons, the ducks, the swans, the eagles catching fish, you name it; it flew by the deck. Large dining table; with chairs. 4 BEDROOMS DOWNSTAIRS and 2 bathrooms; and 2 bedrooms upstairs with another bathroom. This HOST has thought of everything. Including items like fans for the upstairs rooms – which tend to get a bit warmer than the downstairs. Lots of kitchen items provided along with hotpads, a wonderful Keric/full coffee pot machine, and yup- there were pods in the cabinets. How about the dishwasher pods provided under the sink; and the laundry pods above the washing machine. Because this is located a bit of a distance from a grocery store; we really appreciated the HOST providing everything, including enough toilet paper for our entire stay having 12 people in the house. All you need to do is bring your personal items like (soaps and shampoos). I have NO Negative things to say. This host has a great cleaning person; and I have to mention at the main entrance is a DOLLAR GENERAL; so we could pick up anything we forgot, also a gas station at the main road. THIS PLACE WAS A WONDERFUL location. The house is in a quiet secluded area, we loved it.

Incredible view

This place has incredible views! The set-up is perfect for all to see the views. It also has everything you would need to stay for a week or MORE! This place was clean, but there were a few areas that needed some attention, BUT it was nothing to fuss about. We celebrated our family Thanksgiving here and we had all we needed.The owner greeted us and was super friendly and stated if we needed anything to reach out.

Great for groups

Our group of 12 (9 adults and 3 teens) loved the house! We were comfortable and felt like we had enough room for everyone. The kitchen was very well stocked and had everything we needed, while also having extras of things (tons of plates, bowls, coffee mugs) that really came in handy. The beds were comfortable and clean. The host was very responsive to any questions and check-in / check-out was a breeze. You can tell a lot of thought had gone into making sure guests were comfortable in the space, for example extension cords by each bedside table so guests had easy access to charge their phones. And then of course there is the lake. The pictures don’t do it justice!! It was stunning!! It was so nice to sit and watch the water/hear the sound of waves throughout our stay. We hope to be back next year for our annual get together of friends/family!

FUN

We had a few problems at the beginning but Ted was most accommodating and took care of them. The home was perfect for us and enjoyed every minute. I do have a suggestion for him.. have a book with ALL information about how to run the appliances, nearest stores, gas station, restaurants, things of throat sort. We have been doing this for 20 years and this is the first place that did not have an Information Book.

A perfect place for us

A wonderful property on the shore of Lake Erie. The property is well appointed and had everything we were looking for in a rental. Plenty of room for everyone inside and out. The recent addition of a fire pit area was a welcomed surprise.

Spacious home with Great View

Beautiful home on the lake. Plenty of space for our family of 13 and our small dog. Kitchen was well stocked and we wanted for nothing. The kids had a great time at the beach on the property and in the evening the fire pit was a big hit. It is definitely a property that should not be overlooked.

Summer Vacation

We had a great time staying at Beachcomber. You cannot appreciate the size of this home until you are inside. We had 10 adults teenagers and toddlers with space for everyone. Ted is a great host. He responded quickly to the few questions we had and really made us feel welcomed. Inside or outside the view of the lake is incredible. You can't miss booking here for your next vacation.

Breathtaking views but still quite cozy!

Each year, a small group of our family friends and their families get together in order to spend some relaxing time together playing board games and eating large, family style meals. Of the many places we have stayed, this has been the favorite for both the adults and children! From the relaxing evenings sitting outside by the fire-lit table, to watching the sun go down with the waves crashing agains the rocks, to the lovely beach within walking distance, to the large family table that we covered with food each meal in order to feed our small army - there was never a time that wasn’t perfect for us. The kids found the spacious home delightful while they utilized many fun places to hide during hide and seek, and it was convenient to have tv’s in each room for some individual quiet time when needed. One of the bedrooms has an arm chair which was perfect for the nursing mother, and three bathrooms really allowed for a potty to be accessible at all times (which is important with small children). Truly, we were blown away by the cleanliness, the lovely beach decor, the comfortable beds, the abundance of household amenities, and the surprisingly large space that this property boasts. I don’t think the pictures do it justice - this is a ‘home’ that should be experienced firsthand! Thank you for a lovely getaway, and we hope to visit again in the future!

Sand beach is a private community and is very historical from the 1920s when there was a big dance hall at the entrance.

If you have your own boat or golf cart you may bring that with you and use that on the private roads within the community.

There are several recreational areas inside of the community for children

You may enjoy going to Cedar point which is approximately 30 miles away or you may visit many of the local eateries including Porky’s Pizza Trof, wild wings restaurant or drive into Port Clinton where there is many options available to eat

As well there is a ferry that goes from Port Clinton to put in Bay so you can enjoy daytrip’s to the islands

On a very rainy day you may consider going to the casino in Rossford which is approximately 30 miles away
Great to walk in , nearly a mile stretch of Beachfront adjoins this home.

Marina is less than 1/8 of a mile away, and a boat slip can be obtain for a nominal fee.

There is a Dollar General store for basics, and a Walmart to the west and east, about 15 miles away! Oak Harbor has an IGA store, and Jacks Superette is a great place to get meats to grill. About 5 miles west.

Eating: Porkys Pizza....1 mile. Wild WIngs Rest. .25 Miles, and check out Lagoon Saloon or Port clinton for great food.
Also try Put-In-Bay, Cedar Point ! or a great Fish place called Tackle Box 2 in Fremont, Ohio.
Gas: At the Marathon right at the entrance to the beach!
Charter? Just ask. I will recommend several!
