Lake Front Cottage Perfect for Fisherman, Birders, and Family Vacations.

A spectacular spot for fishing, bird watching, swimming, and enjoying the best of Lake Erie. The backyard faces a channel to Lake Erie where you can fish or end the evening on the deck watching the sun set over the lake. A few steps out the front door and you have access to a private beach for swimming.

The cottage has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a full size hideaway sofa/bed, a three seasons room, washer/dryer, and an open floor plan living, dining, and kitchen area. We have a fire table and Adirondack seating to the backyard for viewing those perfect sunsets. We also have WIFI for those who need to stay connected and the home is handicap accessible so everyone is welcome to enjoy the getaway.

Our cottage is conveniently located next door to Locust Point Marina. They have daily and weekly dock and ramp passes available. We are just 10 minutes from Magee Marsh where spectacular bird watching can be seen. A 20 minute drive takes you to Port Clinton for dining, shopping, or a ferry trip over to the island Put-In-Bay. For the more adventurous Cedar Point, the roller coaster capital of the world is just 45 minutes away.

Home was very clean and had everything you need as far as kitchen items and cooking utensils. It was a short walk to the private beach and had beautiful views from the back deck. We had a very relaxing stay.

The property was well taken care of,was conveniently in the middle of everything we wanted to go see.The host made sure we had everything we needed plus extra.Will definitely try and stay there again in the future.

This is our second visit to this property. It never fails to impress. Even though four of the six days we were there the weather was pretty bad. It’s still lovely just to look out at the water and relax. The property has everything you could possibly want. I am hoping we can make it for a third year! Being handicap accessible is a huge plus!

We loved this rental. The house was so well maintained and decorated perfectly for a lake house. We wanted a place on Lake Erie and this definitely filled the bill! The Home was larger than it appeared from the outside or in pictures. The sun room was our favorite part of the house and we loved watching the boats leaving and returning.

Excellent location to Magee Marsh and surrounding birding areas. Nice cozy home right on the water. An incredible view! It has all the amenities, no matter what your adventures are. The host is very attentive and accommodating. I would absolutely stay here again!

Everything was great. A couple of minor things - no bureau in 2nd bedroom so had to live out of suitcase, and there was no beach access nearby. But we especially enjoyed the three season room and furniture was comfortable and location was great. We were there for the birding in May and it was perfect for that!

We had a beautiful view of Lake Erie right out our window. We enjoyed sitting out on the sunroom with the windows opened as listening to the waves. We sat in the chairs in the yard. It wasn’t too far of a drive to Port Clinton. We would stay again.

Lovely home on Lake Erie near Magee Marsh

Beautiful setting and very comfortable home for enjoying the fantastic birding spots nearby, especially during warbler migration. We would love to stay here again!

For the price they charge per night. It really needs updated very 90-ish. Both bathrooms need updated needs carpet plastic faucets fixtures. I was just expecting a little bit nicer of a place for the price. The neighbor comes over and mows the grass while we’re in the middle of the vacation. you would think he would do that before you show up.

Amazing sunsets, fishing right in the backyard, nice private beach just a few feet away from the front door. Quiet and peaceful. Me and my family of 6 really enjoyed our time here and will definitely be back.

Perfect Home Base for Birding

Great location for birding at the preserves nearby, and it had all the amenities we needed: a dishwasher, electric kettle, all the kitchen supplies, washer/dryer, and plenty of places to snuggle up to read or watch the boats go by. We would stay here again.
All the kitchen gadgets and things you need, including plastic trays for kids.
Basics like sugar and salt.
Double doors to primary bath for accessibility.
Plenty of space to sit and enjoy company outside or in.

Loved our stay once again. Watched birds, caught lots of fish, walked on the beach, amazing sunsets. Spent a day at put in bay. Had fun, host easy to get in touch with and fast communication.

Wonderful place

This was our 5th year staying here. We love being able to walk a few steps to fish. Nicely furnished and very clean. We are hoping to be back next year.
