Papa’s place is located in interlochen Michigan 5 minutes from the interlochen state park and the Interlochen Arts Academy, their is a lake within 10 minutes of Papa’s place no matter which direction you go. We are only 15 minutes from Traverse City and about 30 minutes from the sleeping Bear sand dunes National park, we are about 20 minutes from Crystal Mountain ski resort. There are snowmobile and hiking trails close by,

Unexpected charm

The property was clean, cutely adorned and filled with thoughtful amenities. Very good place for dogs. Definitely recommend this place if one is looking to stay in the area. .

Fabulous place to call home

Papa's Place exceeded expectations! Fully equipped, ample space inside, and extras like snacks and s'mores makings. Can't wait to come back - already booked. Highly recommend.

Wedding Weekend

We have rented several homes through VRBO and can honestly say this was the best experience we’ve ever had! The house was so welcoming, well stocked and very clean. John was great to work with and check in was a breeze. We highly recommend Papa’s place.

Great New Year Vacation

We enjoyed our stay immensely at Papa's Place. Our children enjoyed all the snacks and coffee that were given to us when we arrived. You guys made this place feel like home. Every amenity we could have wanted and more were there waiting for us. We look forward to our next trip to Papas Place.

Ski/hike/Traverse City

Outstanding cleanliness and welcoming touches provided by host. Great little home for family and dogs. Above and beyond, one of our favorite rentals. Very convenient 15-20 min to Crystal, Sleeping Bear Dunes, and Traverse City.

Had a wonderful time!

My family and dogs loved Papa’s ,s Place! The house was perfect as described, and very clean. The dogs loved the open outside area. The location was great to go on bicycle trips, canoeing and centrally located for the activities we had planned. John responded quickly to any questions throughout the process.

Family Vacation

A total of 8 family members, all 40+ yo, stayed for 8 nights and everything was great! The house was nice, clean and welcoming. John responded quickly to any of our questions and made us feel "at home." The large open yard gave us and our dogs plenty of room to do a variety of activities on-site. Excellent experience overall...Thanks!!

Fantastic home away from home

We had a great 5 night stay at Papa’s Place. The house is truly a home. Has a great floor plan, lots of space. The kitchen had everything we needed & then some. The extra touches provided by the Kennedy’s were greatly appreciated. They truly want you to feel at home. The entire house was spotless. Nice towels, lines, pots & pans, dishes. Our favorite space was the patio. It is truly relaxing. We sat outside at night for hours John quickly responded to any questions. We also loved the location. You will not be disappointed with this rental. Much thanks to John & Connie

Great house, great hosts

We had a great time at this clean and well-prepared home. Absolutely zero complaints. Plenty of towels and amenities for us and even snacks.

Felt right at home

Seemless from start to finish. Great communication. A huge property made for peace and quiet. Super clean, new, decorated in a cute modern industrial country was right up my alley. Felt so homey, plenty of puzzles, books, treats! (My kids thank you!) and they even included the dogs. First vacation that I actually said “bye, house, I’m gonna miss you”.

Pause and Regroup at Papa’s Place

This property was even better than advertised. The property owner allowed us to check in early since I have a medical condition which requires access to an outlet. The property has clearly gone through a recent renovation and the attention to detail is obvious in every room. There are three bedrooms and two full baths, a very nice kitchen, dining room and a side den. There are 5 televisions. Outdoors is a fire pit, a very large yard, picnic benches, a very nice deck, and an outdoor grill. The property is extremely clean and obviously well-maintained. It is just minutes from Interlochen Center for the Arts and close to a grocery store and restaurants. We love Bud’s and the Hofbrau!! Papa’s Place is well-stocked with everything you would need to cook, and the owner provides a Wide variety of snacks for free for his guests. We had a lovely time at Papa’s Place and hope to come back next summer !!!

Amazing

We throughly enjoyed staying at Papa’s place. Everything was so nice and neat when we arrived. It was a perfect set up with snacks and everything we needed. The kids all enjoyed running around outside and playing on the play set. We had a wonderful weekend. If we come back up this way again, we will be booking Papa’s Place again .
