The Space:

Nestled on the sugar-white sandy shores of the Gulf of Mexico, SunDestin Beach Resort in Destin, FL has everything and more to ensure a fun, memorable vacation! Property amenities abound, including a newly-renovated outdoor pool, outdoor hot tub, sauna, and steam room. The gift shop, conveniently located in the lobby, is packed with beach attire, supplies, water toys, and keepsakes. Check out the complimentary DVD rentals, and exercise center. Indulge in seasonal amenities, including beach chair/umbrella rentals (additional fee), and an outdoor tiki bar. Comfortably host large functions and meeting events, as SunDestin Beach Resort boasts over 3,000 s.f. of meeting space. Should any questions arise during your stay, our cordial and knowledgeable Scenic Stays team will be available via our 24-hour on-site front desk.



SunDestin Unit 0204 is a one bedroom, one and one half bathroom condo comfortably accommodating up to six. You’ll enjoy the nautical decor throughout this unit, complete with all the comforts from home. The fully-appointed kitchen is the perfect spot to prepare and serve tasty treats for the beach. Enjoy meals, board games, or even a puzzle at the dining table with seating for all. The open-concept space in the living/dining area will ensure you don’t miss out on anything and you’ll never tire of the gorgeous gulf view from your private balcony. Lounge in the living room with a queen-sized sleeper sofa or the master suite with king-sized bed, both rooms equipped with flat-screen televisions. This unit now includes a murphy bed, allowing 6 people to stay in the unit! Bring your whole family!



As you venture out, you’ll find a plethora of creative cuisine, showcasing the area’s best ingredients. Enjoy local fare at the Back Porch Seafood & Oyster House, less than five minutes away. Smoked tuna dip, raw oysters, and seafood nachos are just a few of the starters on this family-friendly menu with something for everyone!



Guests under 22 must be accompanied by an adult chaperone throughout their  stay. Pets are unfortunately not welcome and are subject to immediate departure if found to be inhabiting a property. Smoking is strictly forbidden.



Please note that La Dolce Vita is the beach service vendor for this property. While beach service rentals are not included in your stay, you can easily contact them directly for all your rental needs.

FAMILY FUN AND MEMORIES We arrived at 2pm and our unit was available for Early Check-in ! The Property was very clean, which made us feel right at home. The Kitchen was well-equipped, we loved outdoor grill. We enjoyed Morning Coffee on the Balcony while watching Dolphins. The kids loved the Pool and Beach. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this property for Family and Couples looking for a Fun and Relaxing Getaway! This is Our 3rd time at this Property and we Will Definitely Return !!

My stay at Destin

First time staying in Destin and first time staying at SunDestin everything was more than we expected. They had construction work going on, but it didn’t bother us.

Enjoyed the stay

We enjoyed the stay. The room was in fair condition, the couch was definitely worn, the Murphy bed was comfy. The beach was completely full of purchased chairs that went all the way up to the water- I thought that was a little tacky.

The room was clean and stocked. Unfortunately the sofa, chairs and bed were very uncomfortable and worn out. Nowhere to sit comfortably and relax. But location was great and in the middle of everything.

Pool

We rented 204 because it was above pool. We rented it almost 6 months ago. Didn’t say anything about pool being closed . Other than that no complaints.

Construction issues

Our stay was great as usual but the construction was loud. The parking was also an issue due to construction. I think they should have let us know about the major construction project that will take 3 years when we booked. We definitely would have stayed somewhere else.

Room great… staff service not so great

When we first got there the staff said that our original booked room was having a maintenance issue (they didn’t tell me what it was). They put us in a different room… this rooms view was absolutely awful and was legit garbage… no joke you looked down and there was garbage. Then the next day we couldn’t even enjoy our entire beach day because we were told we would be moving rooms… this didn’t happen until around 2pm… so that cut our beach day short. The guy upfront tells me before moving to our other room that “the cleaning ladies turned the heat on so for some reason your room is super hot, we turned the air back on but it may take awhile for your room to cool down.” We get into our correct room and the room is hot (as expected)… but it stayed hot our entire stay. It wouldn’t get lower than 74 degrees, I have 2 small children and we were all hot trying to go to sleep. So needless to say, I’m pretty sure the maintenance issue was the air unit not working but they didn’t want to tell me that. The original booked room was very nice with an excellent view. I asked management to contact me and left my phone number twice and they wouldn’t speak to me. Will not be staying here again.

Overpriced is an understatement

This was our first time staying in Destin, but have frequently stayed at n other places in the gulf. The photos on the listing showed a beautiful room that would be suitable for our family (5 total with 2 adults and 3 kids). Considering the economy, condo location, and amenities offered, we paid a substantial amount to stay from Wednesday to Sunday. The minute we walked in, I noticed the inaccuracies that was described. The condo itself is like a sardine can with no room to even move the table out of the way to let down the Murphy bed. Mattresses were flat and extremely uncomfortable ( we camp a lot so I’m used to sleeping on an air mattress or the ground).There was water leaking from the ceiling and air vents in every room and it set a tone immediately for the rest of our stay. The WiFi is a NIGHTMARE with no cable in the living room, so to stream a movie at night and have to wait literally an hour for the movie to play is so frustrating.The restaurant downstairs is not only ridiculously priced but we sat there for over 10 minutes with no one even coming by. Sauna did not work at all the entirety of the trip, splash pad was a joke that when it was open( not working the first two days) with no water pressure. I know this is more of a facility problem but the fact that part of the reason we stayed here was the amenities and convenience for our small children is a problem. I am really not trying to be a Karen, but I feel I was given false information and pictures regarding this unit and would have DEFINITELY looked elsewhere that was worth the amount of money that was spent. Destin is amazing , we had a blast out and about in town, but I am extremely disappointed in what I was given considering how much I paid just for 4 nights. Do not book here!! I am hopeful that some of my stay will be compensated back to me, but who are we kidding? People like this are just greedy .

Pleasant

Perfect size for a couple. I would recommend a different property if you have kiddos with you though, sleeping arrangements didn't go so well with a 4 and 7 year old. Again, Perfect property for a couple though.

Great for the Family Weekend Getaway
