Know Before You Go

This was a difficult property to rate. Though the apartment was perfectly clean and exactly as listed, the exterior yard and deck were littered with 'stuff.' It was, honestly, quite off-putting. Because my husband and I had no need to be outside, the accommodations were fine for two nights. Had we rented in Spring, Summer or Fall, and wanted to take advantage of the outdoor space, it would have been very disappointing.

Quiet peaceful place

Nice quiet place clean and orderly. Tho the air conditioning was a bit misleading . Was easy to get to and from into nearby town of Boothbay Harbor . Comfortable bed, interesting cooking with microwave and not stove , but managed ok.. Host was friendly and able to answer questions.

A little apartment hideaway very close to Boothbay Harbor, Maine.

We stayed at this apartment for six days. The apartment was very nice, had everything that we needed. The property manager, Benny, was amazing! We had some car trouble while we were there, and Benny not only came and rescued us when they came to tow our car, He went to the garage the next day early morning to make sure that the guys were working on it so that our vacation wouldn’t lose the day. Would definitely stay here again!

Visit to Boothbay

Perfect location, close to town and the Botanical Gardens. Very quiet location. Even though we were in the basement we had very little noise from upstairs. Benjamin was a wonderful host.

Weekend to celebrate a life

The rental was spotless inside and easy to find. Very quiet at night and easy access to downtown. It was nice to come back after a day's activities and relax.

The good, the bad, & the ugly

Loved the town; not so much the property. No kitchen sink, had to use bathroom sink for dishes, etc. Property was a good place for a "junkyard dog."

Great Host & Quiet Respite...

We found the accommodations adequately comfortable for our 4-night stay. It was, unfortunately, a bit too far away from town for us to walk. Parking in town is very hard to find! The yard needed attention and that would create a more positive first impression. We were also hampered by overgrown greenery that made the property initially difficult to find; not only the driveway, but also the street itself. That said, our stay was good. The host was communicative, attentive and helpful. We are not getting any younger, so we will probably choose an option nearer town next time.

Awesome getaway

Benjamin was friendly and on top of everything, I wish I could have planned better, we found out everything was closed that we wanted to see and the rain didn't help. But all in all it was quiet and relaxing. Would definitely return.

Description was accurate. It is a basement apartment which was very clean on the inside. Owner does have access to laundry facilities in said basement apartment. Owner very helpful with information.

Exactly as represented.

The room is very clean. The entrance is a little cluttered. I would call this basic accomodations at a very reasonable price. It is very convenient to town, but not right in the middle of everything, which is what I prefer.

Benjamin is a New Jersey born gentleman, employed by NJ Bell Telephone for 30 years and started his own Burglar Alarm Company in 1989. I always loved the New England States, but once I came to Boothbay Harbor my quest was over. I've been coming to Boothbay for 34 years for vacation , before buying property and building this home in 2008.
I enjoy people and added 2 rental apartments /suites so that others can see what a beautiful place I have found . I'm sure most will love BBH as I do.

You'll sleep great in our quiet neighborhood

My house is 1.6 miles from the center of Boothbay Harbor. There is soo much to be enjoyed , some right here , some on beautiful rides through the countryside.
There are many light houses you can kayak to, great places to hike on our waterfront preserves , many ocean front restaurants, museum's both locally and within a 30 mile drive, and great souvenir stores. Take a boat ride, go see the seals, maybe the whales, maybe the Puffins. Stop by here on your way to Bar Harbor and Arcadia Park. Come see the Tall sail ships, and Yachts, or go out deep water fishing.
