David and Misty are great hosts, very responsive and the description of their place is right on point.They have everything! Kids bikes, adult bikes, trailer hitch if you want to lug your stuff to the beach. It’s a 5 min bike ride to the beach. Inflatable paddle boards, boogie boards, lawn games and buckets!The house is all clean and all updated! Perfect for a family of 5 plus a dog! We had a great time and this place is a must return if hitting OBX beaches of the infamous route 12 strip! Thanks for the memories hidden gem!

A Hidden Gem

The Hidden Gem was the perfect beach house for our family vacation. Less than a mile walk to the public beach access point and everything we needed for a relaxing week.

Stephanie respected our home and house rules during her stay. She was always friendly and easy to communicate with. We would recommend her to any future hosts and we love to host her again anytime.

We enjoyed our stay so much and are happy we chose this wonderful home.House is adorably decorated, immaculately clean, and very comfortable. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped. The front and back decks were wonderful to use. We enjoyed using the bikes, the outdoor shower and the big TV.

OBX Vacation 24

This property was a great find for my family. The X-Box was a hit at night and plenty of beach items to play with at the sound or ocean.The interior was gorgeous. We loved our time here.

Great rental and hosts

This is a great rental. Newly renovated and beautifully decorated. Kitchen is very well stocked. Very quiet neighborhood. Communication with the hosts was A prompt and gracious. We would stay here again if we return to Avon. Avon is a wonderful beach.

Labor Day 2023

House has been beautifully remodeled! We had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Location was convenient, close to shops, restaurants and drive on beach access.

The place was clean. The kitchen very well stocked. The appliances/furnishings were nice and of good quality. Plenty of room for a family. Each room has its own large screen, newer model TV. The location was convenient for us. I like that we were able to bring our dog. The outside area and grill were very nice. The only thing that I would change is I would like to have had a bit more essential items. We had two pods each for the dishwasher and washer. No hand soap and only a few trash bags. Food Lion is a very short drive, so we were able to get some supplies. There was a small mix-up with the housekeeping, so maybe these items are normally more in number.

Sun, Sand, and Serenity

We had an amazing stay at this beach house! David and Misty were wonderful hosts with excellent communication from start to finish. I was initially concerned about getting in early, but they took care of us with no issues at all — super accommodating! The house was spotless, well-organized, and had everything a family of four could need. We enjoyed riding the bikes, grilling out, playing darts and cornhole, and just relaxing in such a comfortable space. Truly felt like a home away from home — we loved it and would absolutely come back!

Fresh, clean, and bright

This house was very comfortable and cute. Just a few minutes to the beach and restaurants in Avon. Loved that it came with beach chairs, ice chests, a variety of bikes and skateboards and wagons. My 8-year-old was able to use the smallest bike, but kids younger than that wouldn’t be able to. I didn’t think to bring beach towels, but there is a store that sells all things beach a couple minutes away. Also, pack shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion. I’ve noticed many VRBOs come with these, but this house doesn’t. There’s a grocery store a few minutes away, though.

Katie was an exceptional guest! She took great care of our home, left everything spotless, and was respectful throughout her stay. Communication was excellent from start to finish, and she was friendly, thoughtful, and easy to host. We truly appreciated having Karie and her family as guests and would gladly welcome them back anytime. We highly recommend her to any Airbnb host!
