What an amazing place and such kind and friendly hosts! Clean, and the amenities were wonderful! We walked to town multiple times and enjoyed the beautiful lake views!

The house was just as described and very clean with newer furnishings. Lovely views from the main living room and two bedrooms. Newer kitchen with everything we needed to prepare meals. We were welcomed with a nice gift basket that included items from the area. Overall a great place to stay especially if you have a large group. Would definitely recommend!!

Highly recommended! We take annual trips with our large family and this by far is one of our best rentals. Host was super responsive prior to and during our stay. House was spacious, very clean, organized and well stocked throughout. Super family-friendly with toys, games, and baby/toddler furniture - everything clean and in great shape. We were very impressed with the kitchen and again well stocked with anything you could need. There were even toddler/baby dishes, cups, etc. - nice touch and again everything in excellent condition. You can tell a lot of thought and preparation has gone into getting this rental ready for its guests and all the little touches do not go unnoticed.

This house was perfect for a family reunion with 8 adults and 5 kids under 6. They had everything we needed to entertain the kids and keep them safe. The beds were comfortable and the house was super quiet. We didn’t hear anybody get up with their kids during the night. The kiddos loved the hot tub and all of the toys to play with. The kitchen was well stocked with spices and oil to get us started. Everything was close. Douglas was walkable and Sagatuck just a 5 minute drive. Would definitely stay here again.

Five Stars Isn't Enough! From the moment we arrived, we were absolutely blown away. The views are truly jaw-dropping at first glance, but what surprised us most was how the view quickly became a source of complete tranquility and relaxation.The home itself is exceptional. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, from the beautiful finishes and well-appointed spaces to the countless little touches that made us feel welcomed and cared for. The kitchen was stocked with every amenity we could possibly need, the air was scented with peace and luxury, the hot tub was incredibly relaxing, and there was an abundance of plush towels and even great TP! It was clear that no detail was overlooked.The hosts set a new standard for hospitality. They were responsive, accommodating, and genuinely helpful from start to finish. Quite honestly, all other Property Hosts should take note, this is how it's done.One of our favorite parts of the weekend was simply sitting with a cup of coffee or tea, chatting, watching the birds soar by, and enjoying the ever-changing clouds. We even had an amazing early morning yoga session on the property, which felt like the perfect way to experience the peaceful surroundings.This was a true five-star experience in every sense. It was the perfect setting for our ladies' weekend away, and we left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and already talking about when we could come back. If you're considering booking, don't hesitate. You won't be disappointed!

Absolutely amazing property!! Beautiful view, super clean, super comfy, extraordinarily well stocked, comfortable beds throughout the house, just wonderful!!!!! I really can’t say enough about how great this property is! We had 11 ladies and everyone was so comfortable and had an amazing time!!!

We had our multi generational family vacation and the river view retreat was perfect. There was plenty of space for the kids to play and the adults could enjoy the scenic view and great location to Douglas and Saugatuck. The home is clean and provided everything we needed. Ben and David are attentive hosts, we'd absolutely stay here again!

Family reunion

Family weekend

We have stayed in many rentals, and this one was probably the nicest. The owners have great taste and they thought of everything anyone would ever need. We will rent again in the future.

Stay in Douglas

The house is lovely. Lower level was perfect for our boys with bedrooms and game area. Ben was very helpful and accommodating. Can't say enough great things about this home and owners.

Perfection

This house is gorgeous, very well appointed and comfortable. It’s in a great location for walking to downtown Douglas and taking walks around the neighborhood. Very close to Saugatauck also. We’d recommend and return in a heartbeat!

Girls' Weekend

Everything about our stay here was perfect! The minute we walked into the home, we were thrilled with how beautiful and inviting it was to us. It was immaculately clean and very spacious. The views from the windows surrounding the back of the house were spectacular. The owners were wonderful and left us a delightful welcome basket. We definitely want to stay here again sometime in the future!

BEAUTIFUL House, Wonderful Hosts - Highly Recommend

Been visiting Douglas/Saugatuck for decades, but we were blown away by this house. The pictures really don't do justice to the stunning vista view, open kitchen/living areas, and large comfortable sleeping arrangements. And even more important, hosts Ben and his family went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and accommodated. They were there to answer any questions, give advice, and provide for some requests. We are so grateful to them, and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying with them again.

We were looking for a home large enough for our entire family to be together – your home is lovely, spacious, well maintained, a fully stocked kitchen, everything you need for the beach, toys, puzzles, games for all ages and the newly added hot tub was a great addition. Perfect beach getaway

The house was immaculate and the owners thought of everything. Easily walkable to downtown Douglas and amazing views of the water. Stayed with the entire family including grandparents and first floor master was perfect for them including handicap accessible bathroom! Our young children took over the basement and had plenty of room to spread out with a huge bedroom and game area. The upstairs has a perfect infant room with crib and baby monitor. We truly felt like we were staying in their home and not a rental. We look forward to likely returning next summer.

Spacious, gorgeous view and amazing amenities

This property was better than the photos, and I had high expectations from the photos-the home is beautiful. I had communication all the way through the process, checking in was a breeze. The house was attractively decorated, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The layout and view (oh the view) magical. We felt so relaxed due to the location. We were provided with lots of recommendations for shopping and food, which was phenomenal. If I could rate it higher I would. My bestie is turning 50 we went there to celebrate her, she is in a clinical trial, and we do not know how many years we have left-it did me and her a world of good to just let it be for one weekend, and this was the best place for that. Thank you Ben and David, I feel so fortunate for discovering this home, we all had a wonderful experience.

Perfect House for Multi-Generational Vacation

Three generations of our family (ages 15 - 85) spent a delightful week at this home. The house is spacious, comfortable, tastefully decorated and well-equipped. We all enjoyed the beautiful views of the Kalamazoo river from the main level and outdoor decks. There was plenty of room for all nine of us to gather together for a meal or to sit and visit. The location is great - close to downtown Douglas and Saugatuck, but not in a crowded, touristy spot. The main level en suite primary bedroom suite is perfect for anyone with mobility issues. The bathroom has a walk-in shower and is equipped with grab bars -- not always easy to find when searching VRBO. Our three teens spent most of their time at the house downstairs in the spacious basement playing shuffleboard, watching TV, laying in the hammock or soaking in the hot tub. The huge bedroom with two queen beds meant they could stay up late and not disturb any of the adults sleeping upstairs. The three upstairs bedrooms were very clean, peaceful, and comfortable. We appreciated all the owners' little touches like the welcome basket, toiletries, beach towels, umbrellas, and paper products.We would definitely stay here again!
