Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway located right on the Jordan River where you can canoe, kayak, and fish for Trout, right out your front door. Private setting on 1,500 feet of frontage. Lake Charlevoix boat ramp is two miles away. You can canoe/kayak right to Lake Charlevoix from your front door. Boyne Mountain is less than 15 minutes away for skiing and golfing. Several golf courses are less than 10 - 20 minutes away. Traveling nurses or longer term renters welcome during months of November through May. Contact us for lower long term rates, minumum 30 days.

Nice place

The cottage was very clean, the grounds were fun to run around on, and the view of the river was amazing. We had a great time!

Lovely Stay

This cabin is across the street from our cabin which made it so convenient to have our son’s family stay there. Larry and Lisa are wonderful hosts greeting us with a rundown on the nuances of this charming cabin. You won’t be disappointed staying there!!!

Hidden gem

Our stay checked all the boxes from top to bottom. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone coming to the East Jordan/Charlevoix area.

Lovely Cabin!

This cabin was exactly what my family and I were looking for. Restaurants, groceries, lakes and plenty of other attractions are very close but still located in a peaceful and relaxing area. Plus, our host Larry went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and stress-free. Truly a top-notch host! We plan to visit again!

Relaxing Property and Very Clean

The cabin is very clean and has several areas to gather, watch tv or do puzzles. We saw several kayaks go down the river and saw a variety of birds and other wildlife. We enjoyed the swing in the yard and the close proximity to Castle Farms in Charlevoix. It was only a short drive to other areas of interest as well.

Northern Michigan Getaway

Very nice home & accommodations. Property is overlooking the river. The only negative part is that the home is on a very busy road and it's loud!

Wonderful Stay!

The cabin is beautiful and very modern. It is clean and has all the neccesities. Larry and Lisa are wonderful hosts and shared places to eat and things to do when we arrived. Honestly, our whole family wishes we would have had a few more days to stay as we wereonly there for a 4 day weekend for a family wedding. The location is great for peace and quiet but still close to town. It is also a great central location for gping to St. Ignace and Mackinac. All in all, we'd love to return someday and stay at this VRBO again.

This property was just like it was posted and more. Very nice, quiet and clean. The owner was very pleasant and friendly. We had a wonderful time and would definitely rent again

Cozy River cabin

We were very happy with our stay, the cabin was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed fishing off the river bank and having bonfires at night. The host was very helpful and attentive. Cabin is close to downtown East Jordan and also not a far drive from downtown Boyne. I would say this is the best stay we’ve had yet using Vrbo , we will definitely recommend to others!

Fall Colors

We had a nice time here. The place was recently renovated and was very comfortable with baseboard heat. We fished the Jordan River in several spots including the marina in town and took various day trips west, north and east for the fall colors. Thanks to our hosts for the local info and hospitality.

Amazing get away

My wife and I enjoyed every aspect of our stay. The house was very clean and well stocked. The location was beautiful and a perfect location for a northern Michigan quiet weekend. Very close to Petoskey, Charlevoix, and Boyne. East Jordan was a small town but had most everything you could need less than 10 minutes away. Highly recommend.

Perfection!

This cabin was a perfect getaway for my husband and I to celebrate our 44th wedding anniversary. The cabin was stocked with all the necessities, plus many comforts of home. The bedding was so comfy and cozy. The household decorations were minimal and simply beautiful to look at. The view was very relaxing and serene. Deer came by one evening for a visit, and we saw a varieties of birds. Our host Larry was very welcoming and informative. Thank you for being a wonderful host and sharing your beautifully updated family cabin.

Perfect Northern Michigan location

We had an absolutely lovely stay here in East Jordan. Larry was a wonderful host - greeting us upon arrival and sharing local recommendations. The cabin has been beautifully updated and accommodated our family of five perfectly. We loved being along the river for fishing, sitting riverside to relax, and opening the windows at night for the perfect sleeping weather. The location was also perfect for daytrips to Sleeping Bear, Traverse City, Petoskey, Harbor Springs, and Mackinac Island. And of course it’s right next to charming Charlevoix. We would definitely stay here again!

Fall Colors Weekend

Thoroughly enjoyed out fall colors weekend at this cozy, clean and comfortable cabin in East Jordan. Upon out arrival, Larry (owner) gave us a brief walk through of the place which we appreciated. Kitchen had everything we needed for making breakfast every morning. Enjoyed bonfires each evening with the firewood that was provided. King size bed was very comfortable for sleeping. Loved everything about this place. Hope to return sometime.

Perfect Time Away

What a delightful and beautiful place to stay. The owners are attentive and kind. The location was perfect for day trips and for just relaxing. There’s a swing by the river that was perfect for hours of conversation with coffee. And seats by the fire pit alongside the river for evenings spent enjoying time together. The cottage is quaint, well decorated and comfortable. This is a gem!!! Don’t miss your opportunity to stay here!!! We will be back!! What a fabulous vacation!!

Refreshing time near the Jordan River

This property is better than described. It was so beautiful inside and tastefully decorated. The large windows facing the river gave such a nice view, which helped renew us. The fully equipped kitchen had everything you need. The baths, vanities and showers were new, along with the carpet and flooring. We had a washer and dryer to do the laundry. The beds were so comfortable. Lovely linens and blankets made us cozy. It was delightful to visit with the owner. He made sure that we had everything we might need. I would rate this wonderful place higher than a 5 as it was the best rental we've ever had!

Beautiful cabin and area

Cabin is immaculate, very well appointed, decor is just lovely....no deer heads on these walls! Comfortable beds, plenty of soft towels and extra pillows/blankets. Nice firepit right beside the river, saw the northern lights our first night! Larry is an excellent host! Stopped in to introduce himself and give a quick walk through of the cabin. He even brought us a pile of firewood! Us girls were on a color tour weekend, and the cabin is very centrally located. Enjoyed the apple festival in Charlevoix, East Jorden valley color was beautiful, Petosky for rock hounding and tunnel of trees. Plan to be back in the summer with the kayaks and fishing poles! Thank you Larry.

Charming Cottage on the River

Wonderful place to stay! The cottage is even cuter than than the pictures, very clean, updated, nicely decorated and very comfortable. The master bedroom/bath and kitchen are super, and relaxing in the living room or sitting on the riverbank just can't be beat. The location is ideal, there's beauty all around. It's close to lots of good things, a great central location for places like Charlevoix, Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Boyne City, Walloon Lake, Gaylord, and several less known interesting spots. The whole area is so scenic with all the hills and curves, trees and lakes. Larry and Lisa are very personable and helpful hosts, readily available to answer questions and give information. This is a place where you feel cozy and comfortable and just don't want to leave. We highly recommend it!

Wonderful

Larry was very accommodating and answered all our questions. The house was clean & comfortable with an enjoyable view of the Jordan River. You could see fish swimming by while relaxing on the sofa. Would highly recommend this cottage on the river.

My wife and I have been married for over 30 years and we live on the same private drive as this cabin. Our home and this cabin are the only two houses on this private drive. If you need anything while visiting, we are literally minutes away. If towing a trailer or boat, you can easily turn around at the end of the drive at our primary residence. This cabin was recently totally remodeled inside and out. Brand new appliances, kitchen, carpeting, tiled floors, all new windows, doors, etc. My grandfather built this cabin in the 1940's and it has been in my family ever since!

With its close proximity to all things you want in Northern Michigan, it is a vacation spot you'll be sure to enjoy. Whether fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, skiing, golfing, or boating. It's all literally minutes away!

Close enough to all the amenities, yet far enough away to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing environment. We own over 1,300 feet of river frontage, and it is yours to explore and enjoy. The Brown Trout are especially active during the "hex hatch", where mayflies are on the river for a month in late June through July. Steelhead in the winter, with Rainbow and Brooks further up in the headwaters and tributaries. The Jordan River is designated a Natural River by the DNR and is protected. No other homes can be built within 200 feet of the river! This home is grand-fathered in.
