Lucky Break is Kill Devil Hills' newly renovated 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom oceanfront condo. Located near milepost 7 in the heart of the town. Additional photos can be found on FB Lucky Break OBX. This condo is the sister condo to Sweet Carolina KDH (VRBO # 1932495). The owners are seasoned hosts that maintain a 5 Star rating on their properties.

This condo is close to many places. Movies, restaurants, grocery stores, shopping areas, mini golf, outlet mall, fishing pier, Jockey's Ridge, Wright National Memorial and Air Museum and so much more! You can also explore the surrounding areas to visit the aquarium, marinas and lighthouses.

Lucky Break is a spacious condo that is less expensive than an oceanfront hotel room half its size. It has panoramic views of the ocean throughout the unit. Any closer to the ocean and you would be in the water.

Lucky Break is a first floor end unit in a quiet oceanfront community. There are 2 private bedrooms each with their own king sized bed and linens provided at an additional cost. The condo has 3 flat screen TVs for your viewing pleasure. There is a balcony with high top chairs overlooking the ocean to enjoy your morning coffee and a beautiful sunrise. There is a large community pool on site.

Lucky Break was remodeled in 2022 with beautiful luxury flooring, new furniture throughout, a new kitchen with gorgeous granite counter tops and a coffee bar. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to make a gourmet meal.

First fall time visit to OBX

Our stay was amazing- it was even nicer than the pictures showed it to be. We enjoyed the balcony being right on the beach-watched the sun rise every morning, could hear the waves and enjoy our coffee or have a cocktail in the evening and relax. It was close to restaurants and sightseeing. We had only gone to OBX in the summer, but fall is just as nice! Will definitely book again.

Nicely renovated property

This was a great first floor end unit, great kitchen, newly renovated. Beds, however, were not good, and we did not sleep well. Mattresses need upgrading, and linens need to fit and feel better. Other than that, the property was clean, in a good location, and we enjoyed it.

Great for a girls' getaway

We had a great time. The condo is close to the beach with easy access. We were happy to find beach chairs in the condo. Very cozy and comfortable.

Beautiful, clean, homey and spacious

Lovely location! So close to EVERYTHING to make for a wonderful family vacation! Plenty of room for our family of 4 adults and 2 young kids. We especially appreciated access to laundry facilities and detergent provided by host! For longer stays, plan to pack additional bath and beach towels. Great hosts, beautiful clean beach overall an awesome family vacation!

Convenience and well updated

Location is perfect. Easy to get in and out of OBX, close to amenities. The hosts did a fantastic job updating this unit, clean and bright! We cooked every meal for the week, the kitchen was well equipped. This is a hidden gem in a larger dated complex. Areas for improvement... The beds. The foam mattresses were worn out, felt like sleeping on a deep bowl. With the overstuffed pillows it was not ideal. The dune in front of the unit does block the view of the beach. If you are tall you can see the waves while standing. This did not detract from our visit as we could hear the waves and see just enough. We would definitely stay again, most convenient location for a family with small kids. Pool and playground were perfect for when ouele toddler was tired of the beach.

Great property and location!

Check in/out was easy. The unit had everything we needed....theres even a big steamer pot for your seafood boil! The pool area is well maintained as is the rest of the property. The owner was great with communication. If we visit this area again (I'm sure we will) I won't hesitate to consider this property again!

Better than the pictures

The condo was very well equipped and was very modern. There was plenty of room for the 4 of us. The pool was clean and not crowded at all.

Pleasant Stay at KDH

My husband and I fully enjoyed our stay at this property. The photos were very accurate and helpful to know what we would have available for our stay. Saw some spectacular sunrises, enjoyed the neighborhood, and even met someone who is originally from our hometown! Small world. Lots of little extras were there to make our stay easier, such as laundry pods, paper products, hand soap, plastic wrap/bags, etc. If you want to be right on the beach, this is the place for your next stay!

Amazing condo and location!!

We enjoyed our stay at Lucky Break! Every part of the condo was just as it was described and photos were as well. The location of the property is walking distance from the beach and several restaurants in which we visited while there. It is so peaceful that you can hear the rolling sounds of the waves at night. I loved how the linens and towels were packaged to show you that they have been thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. The condo was spotless when we arrived. We will definitely be staying here again next time we visit Kill Devil Hills. Kudos to the owners. They really know how to create a beach style space for relaxation on vacation.

Wonderful Condo!

My friends & I were so pleased with this condo. Beautifully decorated, clean, well equipped. All you need to bring are your personal items. The location is great, in the center part of the OBX so you can explore! Will definitely return!

just as pictured and described

Property is on a very nice stretch of beach in Kill Devil Hills. It was exactly as pictured and described in the listing. Convenient to everything, and we really liked beach chairs being provided. We had one quick issue with a very large bug (but that can happen in any beachy location). Only other quirk was that the thermostat seemed to sort of randomly change settings (both heating and cooling) about once per day (not always at the same time, though - so we learned to check if it suddenly seemed too cool or too hot). Overall, a very nice unit to use as a home base in the outer banks, and property manager was very easy to deal with.

Wonderful mini vacation!

Our time here was absolutely wonderful. There is everything that you might need here. The beds are super comfortable and made you feel like you are home. The beach is just steps away which is awesome. We couldnt have been happier and had such a wonderful vacation. Thank you Jocely, if we are ever back this way we will definitely stay again!

Great location. Comfortable home. Only issue was we didn’t ask for linens and was charged . We brought our linen,let the owner know,but we still got charged.

Beautiful Location

The location is on the water and able to see water as advertised. The kitchen was fully stocked for us to make Thanksgiving dinner. The property manager was very responsive and pleasant to work with.

Great Condo!!!

Condo was beautiful, renovations to the place made it feel top notch. Very cozy place with a beautiful view. I will definitely be staying here again. Not to mention the owner was very responsive and very nice. Overall, 5 out of 5 stars!!!!

Great place

We stayed for 3 nights in J1 unit. End unit, beach front, quite, listened to the sound of the surf all night 😀. Place was very clean and nicely decorated. Beach chairs, coffee and coffee maker, beach toys for kids and games. Elevator was an awesome surprise! Pool and i do believe a hot tub, we did not use due to being at beach. Golf courses close by, wild horse tours, plenty of restaurants, and things to do. Grocery store was also close by. Goombays resturaunt was a block away, great food and fun.

Weekend getaway to the OBX

We had the best weekend staying at the Luck Break, I loved the surf theme. Everything was very clean and the kitchen well stocked with pots etc. The owner was very quick to answer any questions during our stay. The keyless entry made our stay easier without the worry of a key. The location is perfect for touring the OBX, heading south to the Cape and then north to Corolla. Loved the Publix near the property. Great area lots to do. The Owner was very quick and helpful with any questions before and during our stay. Thank you Luck Break.

What’s not to like!

The condo was great! It was decorated well. Everything was clean and everything you needed was provided. The kitchen was well stocked. There were games and movies for all. The beds were restful and the sunrise from the balcony was spectacular. Do know, the dune is close to the property and tall. You can see the ocean but can’t see the waves crash in the beach. That is minor! Great place to stay.

Super Cute Condo!

We really enjoyed our stay at Lucky Break! The pictures are a great representation of the unit. It was nice to be so close to the beach, be in an end unit, and also have a pool to use. There is free onsite laundry, which was a nice surprise. The kitchen is very well stocked with all sorts of dishes, silverware, cutlery, pots/pans, small appliances, cutting boards, measuring cups, etc. We enjoyed all of the thoughtful extras like laundry baskets, hair dryers, board games, books, movies, beach chairs, beach umbrella, and sand toys. The freezer has an ice maker, which was great for taking ice water to the beach. Would recommend this unit for sure!
