Enjoy and relax on this waterfront home on Rennie Lake! Brody's Camp is located on a quiet, scenic road adjacent to state-owned land that contains an entire trail system for hiking, snowmobiling , snow shoeing, and 4x4's. No need to load and unload your toys with the trail system in your backyard! Our lakefront home boasts a shallow, sandy-bottom upon entry.
This all season getaway is an ideal location that's just minutes from downtown Traverse City; including shops, restaurants, wineries, and breweries. Just to note, our house is cleaned with eco-friendly products and essential oils!
** Please note that during the peak season (June - September) checkin/checkout will occur ONLY on Fridays & Saturdays starting 2024. Thank you for your understanding!

Nice house in a peaceful setting

We stayed here for our annual friends weekend and really enjoyed the house and location. We were able to enjoy the hustle of downtown Traverse City during the day and then chill in a peaceful setting at night.

Perfect Family Vacation

Loved everything about house, plenty of room for our family, location was great. Having the kayaks and paddle boat to use was very nice. A couple of our family members arrived early and I messaged to see if they could get in the house and they responded quickly and said it would not be a problem. Would definitely stay again.

Nice get away

The property is well equipt for a day on the lake or a trip to Traverse City or a drive to Lake Michigan. It was clean and spacious.

Great stay on Lake Rennie

Hosts were extremely communicative and very gracious. House was well stocked with supplies and that was greatly appreciated. We loved the kayaks and toys for the water. Great location for day trips to mission point, sleeping bear dunes and traverse city. There were 8 of us, and it was plenty of space. We thoroughly enjoyed our whole trip!

Very nice vacation home.

Very nice spacious home. Quiet area on the lake and just the right distance from Traverse City. The only issues we had was the air conditioning not working properly. Maintenance came to fix but it did not help.

Perfect property for our 8 member, 4 couple family and 2 small dogs

Brody's Camp is well represented in the Vrbo photos. The home was clean and well appointed. In our 10 day stay, our 8 member family (+2 small dogs) enjoyed daily "flotilla" time on the quiet lake. We ran and biked on trails just outside our door in addition to enjoying many of the abundant trails around Traverse Bay. Trips to Sleeping Bear, Glen Arbor and Suttons Bay provided site seeing and shopping. Don't miss Farm Club for a fantastic lunch. A Traverse City Pit Spitters baseball game capped off the fun. We highly recommend Brody's Camp! Our hosts were awesome!

A quiet retreat

Peaceful Retreat

Holiday Gathering

We celebrated our family's Christmas holiday this weekend and had a wonderful time. The house was beautiful and in a beautiful setting. It had everything we needed and not too far from everything. The host was very responsive and very friendly. We would definitely rent the house again.

Very nice!

Our stay was very pleasant. The property and house are lovely and well-appointed. The view is beautiful as well. The only thing I would question is the “sandy beach.” There was a nice sandy area next to the lake, but I wouldn’t call it a beach. It would not be amenable to swimming, but for all other activities, it is perfect. The proximity to Traverse City is also a plus!

Quiet secluded retreat

This is a beautiful property. The house had everything you need and more! We really enjoyed that we could take our 2 little dogs and especially that that the yard is fenced in. The dogs loved sitting on the dock! We enjoyed the 2 living rooms for quiet morning coffee. The new deck was very nice. There is also a larger lounger in the backyard that was perfect for star gazing.

Siblings enjoy two weeks at this lake house.

Our stay started out a little hot with the air conditioner not working. Within a short time, the owner had someone there and the problem was fixed. We were all happy with the awesome layout of this place. There was plenty of space for all of us siblings and spouses to find a quiet place when needed. We were a little disappointed that there was not a set of steps into the water. However, a trip to Menards and steps made of concrete blocks solved the problem. We all enjoyed the lake, boats, and yard games available. The owners were really helpful whenever there was an issue that needed to be addressed.

Family vacation

The place was very nice and in a great location to Traverse city. Our only complaint would be that the description of the place was miss leading when it descibed that it had a nice sandy area to swim. No sand,just muck and weeds. It was kinda a bummer because all of our family likes to swim

Our stay at the Brody Camp

We loved it there, would recommend it to my family members and friends. It had everything for housekeeping you would need and much more. The only thing I would do is check a couple of the steps going down off the dining room they are quite spongy, and the right corner of the bar needs to be tightened up (outside)

Peaceful location

Loved the beautiful new deck and the outdoor space. Having the kayaks available was awesome and we loved exploring the lake. House was a great size for us to spread out. WiFi worked well, as we didn’t have cell service in areas surrounding the house. The only downside was the air conditioning. Contacted the owner as soon as we arrived and realized it wasn’t working properly. Communicated over the next few days, and hvac person came out twice to check and repair. Even after coolant was added, it still really wasn’t working, and several vents appeared to not be connected to the system at all. We made it work with leaving the windows open, but it was always very hot inside at night.

Relaxing stay

This was a repeat stay for our family. House was very nice again the second time around and we appreciated the access to the lake. The house has great amenities including beach towels, plenty of games and yard and water activities to do. This year we used the Lily pad which was very fun! Our dog loved the bones and dog bed as well as hours on the dock and we were so happy to have him with us during our vacation. I would have given five stars for all but there were occasional ants in the kitchen and the couch in the living room needs vacuuming (some guest must have eaten their meals on the couch and left evidence under the cushions). The garage door also needs a tune up (door wouldn’t always open or close throughout our stay and required a couple hours of our attention and communication with the owner to figure out the solution). The new deck is great and having a grill was wonderful. We do hope to return again. We may try a winter visit in the future.

Nice stay

Our family really enjoyed our stay here. The lake was peaceful and quiet. Perfect for fishing and kayaking! The house was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, the deck was being replaced so it wasn’t completed, and the dock was broke; however the owner let us know ahead of time and made accommodations for us to help with the inconvenience. We would definitely rent this home again!

Wonderful Stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property! The home was well appointed and the setting was beautiful. The owners were very easy to communicate with and were able to let us into the listing early which was really nice. They were also very thoughtful and welcomed us with a bottle of wine left for us to enjoy! Overall the place was very clean although there were a few large tufts of dog fur found around the house. We knew the listing was dog friendly though so it wasn’t too surprising. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would love to return someday!

This property is unique in that it is surrounded by state owned land containing an entire trail system that anyone can enjoy hiking, snowmobiling, snow shoeing, and 4x4 exploring. Rennie lake is an all sports lake for your enjoyment. Additionally, Bass Lake and Spider Lake are just down the road to access for additional fishing a/o lake activities. Brody's Camp is conveniently located just outside Traverse City where you can enjoy shopping, restaurants, festivals, bike trails, breweries, and the "Napa Valley" of the midwest! Although Summer is our most popular season, don't forget to visit in the fall for the beautiful color explosion and the winter for activities such as snowmobiling on the trail system, 2 ski resorts in T.C, and less than an hour to Boyne/Cadillac ski areas.
